"Tap the agents stationed in our satellite branch in Japan. If we miss the subject's location again, we'll lose our reliability."
There was a vibrating sound from his pocket, and Big Boss pulled out his phone to find the name 'shadow fox' on his screen. What did that woman need now? If it wasn't for the fact that Mo Yiling had hacked into the government database and linked it to his computer to get constant alerts, he wouldn't know that she had gone off and married that Fei Huangjin this morning.
"Update me or the tech team for any changes. You're all dismissed." Big Boss left the room in a hurry, answering Ying Yue's call while he was at it. "Good afternoon to the young madame of the Fei family," he drawled sarcastically.
She ignored his comment and went through her husband's closet, rummaging for a shirt she could wear while she was here. All her clothes were still in her apartment. The white cocktail dress she was currently wearing was ordered and brought in by Fei Huangjin earlier. "I have news."
"I already know. You got married."
She rolled her eyes. "Not that. It's about Ying Shen." She found the drawer where Fei Huangjin kept all his white shirts and pulled one out, stepping out of her dress to change into it. "He was a double agent from the Dragon Club. He was Fei Yangcheng's right hand man."
Big Boss narrowed his eyes and looked around carefully as he stepped into his office and locked the door. This wasn't something that just anyone should know about. "I know," he muttered quietly.
"Ying Shen left a letter-- wait, what do you mean you know?" Ying Yue stopped in her tracks.
The voice on the other end sighed and she could hear soft steps on the floor. She knew Big Boss was probably pacing right now in his office. And he only ever did that when he was stressed out thinking about something. "I already know," he said again.
Her hands and feet turned cold, and she felt like she was betrayed. "You knew all this time and you didn't tell me? How could you?" She scoffed, "At least Fei Huangjin only hid it for a day. How many years have you hid this from me? Or have you always known?"
"I didn't always know." He frowned. He knew this day would come eventually. "You know Juyan is neutral ground. We don't dig up too much on the syndicates."
"Then tell me what you know!" Her hands shook. She always thought she was on top of everything. It turns out she was wrong. "Tell me."
Big Boss grew quiet, and he approached his desk to sit behind it. "A few years ago, just a few months before his death, Fei Yangcheng came to me and asked to see you in secret." He bit his lip, recalling that encounter as if it was yesterday.

"To what do I owe the pleasure of having you here, sir?" Big Boss gazed at the master of the Dragon Club with uneasy eyes. Their clients usually called or e-mailed him when they had a job for Juyan. It was also part of their standard operating procedure never to meet clients face-to-face.
For Fei Yangcheng to be here himself was both dangerous and disconcerting. Perhaps he had some serious business for him.
The man stared back at him with eyes that held no trace of emotion. "I'm not here for Juyan, I'm here for a girl."
Big Boss' lips thinned. "Is there a girl you would like us to find, sir?"
"I've already found her. She's here under your protection -- your personal protection."
The uneasy eyes shifted to alarm. There was only one girl he could mean. And that girl was Ying Yue. "What do you want with her?"
Fei Yangcheng's eyes drifted away from him. "Ying Shen did the right thing to leave her with you."
"What do you want with her?" He repeated.
The master of the Dragon Club turned to him and pursed his lips, as if he was unsure how to say his next words. "I want to see her -- but I don't need to meet her personally. I just want to see her from afar. Ying Shen was…" He paused, clenching and unclenching his jaw. "He was a man I could trust."
