Let's go brother Huang

Fei Haocheng got off the elevator to the top floor and muttered to himself all the way to the CEO's office. That brother of his was so mean to him. If he didn't know any better, Haocheng would think that Fei Huangjin was trying hard not to let him get a girlfriend -- or even marry anyone.

After cancelling plans on his darling Lina yesterday, she hadn't replied to him since. Was she going to reject him again? His face contorted into one that showed his pain. He could feel his heart crying inside of him.

The secretary's desk outside Fei Huangjin's office was empty; hence, Fei Haocheng knocked a few times and went in without waiting for his brother to say something.

To anyone else, the sight he saw would have been beautiful as it was touching, with secretary Ying being cuddled like a baby on his brother's lap. However, for a single man like him who had never had a girlfriend, it was like being fed dog food -- disgusting to his eyes and painful to his heart.

Aiyaaa, brother Huang, what are you still doing there?" He leaned against the door frame and placed his hands on his hips like a supervisor reprimanding a new recruit. His voice started inching higher as he saw his older brother staying still on his seat, looking at him with a frown. "The meeting with the operations team--"

Fei Huangjin lifted his index finger to his lips and then pointed at the sleeping beauty in his arms, silently telling him to keep quiet. He knew Ying Yue slept late last night after they got busy with moving her stuff. She needed this rest.

Although Fei Haocheng understood his signs, he didn't get why his brother wouldn't just wake secretary Ying up. It was still working hours, after all. And Fei Huangjin had always hated it when Haocheng slept on his job.

He didn't bother toning down his voice and continued to bother Fei Huangjin. "Let's go brother Huang, you've been late for fifteen minutes already!"

This time, Fei Huangjin held up a hand to stop him, and again placed his index finger in front of his lips. However, that didn't stop the younger brother from talking, causing Ying Yue to stir a little.

"The operations team have been preparing for this for quite some time, and we need to decide on pushing through or pulling back with their plans."

Fei Huangjin took a deep breath. How in the world did he get such a stupid brother who couldn't see that he was preoccupied at the moment and that he wanted his wife to sleep a bit more. Ying Yue was starting to wake up with the noise in the room, her finger twitching. He pursed his lips in frustration and carefully opened a drawer on his desk, looking for a pen or something he could throw at his younger brother.

He spotted a pocket knife similar to the one Ying Yue used when they had that car incident, and he took that one out.

"The manager was even asking me if your absence meant that--" Thud!

Fei Haocheng's eyes were wide, and he gulped as he turned to the door frame, where a knife was stuck, just an inch away from the side of his face. Holy smokes! If he moved right then, his handsome face would've been scarred forever!

And then he would never get a girlfriend in this lifetime!

"You… bro…" He muttered weakly.

The room turned silent, and Ying Yue was already fast asleep again. When Fei Huangjin was sure that she was already back to dreaming, he glared at Haocheng, who was still in shock. "You're not VP for nothing," he whispered. "Handle the meeting and report it to me later."

The other man nodded mechanically, glancing one more time at the knife before stepping back and shuddering. How could this be? His brother just got married and already didn't care for him anymore. The world was so unfair.
