Get to the house now

Guan Ting's phone ringed, and he glanced at it to see the name of one of the men watching over Ying Yue. He specifically left instructions to the men not to call him over trivial matters, and this call caused him to frown -- his eyes briefly flitting to Fei Huangjin's reflection on the rearview mirror.

If this call wasn't trivial, could something have happened to the young madame? He certainly hoped not, for his -- and the rest of the Dragon Club's -- sake.

He accepted the call and put up a fist against his chin with a wary look. "Speak."

"Sir!" The man shook slightly. He didn't expect Guan Ting to answer his call right away. Weren't they on a flight back? Did that mean they had arrived? "I'm calling to report an incident, sir!"

There was a background sound of yells over the phone, and soon Guan Ting could hear the sirens of a firetruck. It didn't sound like things were going well. "Report. What happened?"

"Sir! The master's house… The madame was asleep and then… and then there was an explosion from inside!"

"WHAT?" Guan Ting's eyes blazed. His head whipped behind him where a certain young master was looking lazily out of the car window, expecting to get home peacefully to his wife any minute now. That man was going to throw a tantrum once he finds out. "What do you mean?"

The man started to talk quickly out of panic. "Sir, we were on guard outside the house as usual, sir. And then an explosion broke out from the master's bedroom and there seems to be a fire! The others have gone in to rescue the madame, sir!"

"You idiots…" Guan Ting bit his knuckles. If anything were to happen to Ying Yue, the man behind him would have all their heads. "Be on standby. Get more men into the area as soon as possible. Search everything suspicious within a mile's radius. The master and I are on the way there."

"Yes, sir!"

Guan Ting put down the phone and glanced towards the driver's seat. "Go quickly to the master's house, Mr. Yang."

"Of course," he replied, stepping on the accelerator.

Guan Ting then turned to Fei Huangjin, who was now looking at him suspiciously with narrowed eyes. "What seems to be the problem at home, Guan Ting?"

"Sir," he took a deep breath before continuing. "There was an explosion from your house while the young madame was asleep, sir."

"WHAT. DID. YOU. SAY?" Fei Huangjin's eyes seemed to be both cold and piercing as he stressed each word, and the temperature inside the car dropped several degrees cooler.

Guan Ting felt like he was going to be shot down as the messenger. "There was an explosion and now the master's bedroom is on fire, sir. The men are currently attempting to rescue the young madame."

"GET TO THE HOUSE NOW!" Fei Huangjin felt like his heart stopped. His blood ran cold and he could barely feel his fingers. Not a second later, his chest tightened, too. "And tell them I'll personally rip off their throats if even a strand of her hair is harmed!"

If he didn't have news about Ying Yue within the next half an hour, he was sure he was going to die from a heart attack.

Guan Ting bit his lip and proceeded to call back the man who reported the explosion to him, and Mr. Yang did his best to accelerate even further, putting the blinker lights on. The car sped up to 80 miles per hour.

The normally forty-minute drive from the airport to Majestic Gardens was reduced to less than half, and when the Audi arrived, the fire had already been put out and there were multiple men from the Dragon Club surrounding the house.

Fei Huangjin got out of the car first, surveying the scene with a down-turned mouth, his sharp eyes rapidly scanning everywhere for signs of Ying Yue. The window to their bedroom was broken, and the front door had signs of being gunned down. He felt like snarling like a tiger.

"Sir!"

"Master Fei!"

He flashed all of them a look that could kill. "YING YUE!" He bellowed as he strode even further, his head going left and right. The men around him had their eyes wide, and they all stood in attention in front of him. He had a nagging feeling of unease with the way they were acting. Fei Huangjin stopped in his tracks and eyed the men around him. "Where is she? Where is my wife?"
