Leon watched as Ymir pounced on the troughs as he hadn't eaten for three days, "Sir, are you absolutely sure this is safe." Leon shrugged, "My grandpa said when animals eat sources of nen, they grow stronger. I just need to know if it's exclusive to the animals here or universal law."

The meat Ymir was eating came from the ape primal that attacked them. Once Leon confirmed that there was still nen in the flesh, he had Ymir shipped out to prove his grandfathers theory.

In a few minutes, all the meat was gone, and Ymir started to drink from the barrels. Mewling Ymir fell over and started rolling in the grass.

"Sir, please don't tell me those barrels are full of Sake." Leon smiled at Gotoh, "Of course it is, and don't worry. Grandfather has been brewing this stuff for decades. There's like five hundred barrels."

Walking over to the drunk cat Leon wanted to see if it had worked. Placing his hand on Ymir's stomach, Leon could sense something.

Sighing, Leon chalked this up to a success. Whatever was happening inside of Ymir would take a while.

"I want a squadron to keep an eye on him. If he starts to act up, please call Machi or me, and we can control him." Leon left his drunken cat from someone else to take care of. He had a meeting with Netero.

-------

When Leon walked into the room, he almost didn't recognize Netero, practically all of his wrinkles had vanished, and he had a full head of hair. Leon could also feel that some of his strength had returned, "I see you're finally up from your coma. Are you pleased with the changes?"

"I wish Ziggy warned me that I would be out for a day, but I feel better than ever. But enough about me, what did you want to talk about?"

Leon smiled, "It's been a month since we made our original agreement, and I think it's high time that we make it official."

"I see no problem in sign another contract, but why now?" Leon smiled, "We have enemies moving in on us, and I want to make sure that in the heat of it when we need you the most, you flake."

"We both know that I wouldn't do that." Leon shrugged, "Possibly, but your new appearance doesn't fool me. And I like to have something more binding than just a promise."

Leon pulled something up on his display and passed it over to Netero, "It's everything we agreed on, for fifteen years, the Hunters Association won't build anything outside of the Dragon Republics territory."

Netero looked it over for a minute before he signed his name at the bottom, "There, are you satisfied?"

"Don't look so mad. We both know that you got more out of this deal than I did." Netero scoffed, "And that's what worries me."

Leon smiled, "Now I can let you in on what's going on. The Mafia has been informed of my little project and seeks to destroy everything I've worked so hard to build."

"So what you want the Hunters Association to take care of it." Leon laughed, "No, that wouldn't do us any good. Currently, we know that in a month or so, they'll try to attack. And when that time rolls around, we're going to launch an attack on them."

"Why would you split your forces? Shouldn't you just attack them before they're ready?" Netero asked.

"No, that would be a waste of time. When Mafia attack us, they'll have to trek through multiple miles of beast infested swamp. I plan on making sure they never reached our walls."

Netero narrowed his eyes, "How could you ensure that?"

"My grandfather told me about how animals that eat enough can somehow become primals and assert their dominance over weaker beasts," Leon answered while leaning back in his chair.

"What are you going to tame a primal? What would that entail?" Leon shook his head, "Not tame. I am going to make a primal."

"You can make them?" Leon shrugged, "I think so, we have a few experiments going on right now, and most of them have produced some results."

Before testing his experiment on Ymir, Leon had his men round up several beasts and gave them the same food Ymir received, albeit in smaller amounts. While none of them turned into primals, they did grow stronger.

After their talk, Leon left Netero to think, and for the first time, Leon wasn't rushing to do something. Currently, housing was underway as people hated living underground, and Gotoh informed him that a new batch of soldiers started training.

Just when Leon thought everything was right in the world, he heard something roar, recognizing it as Ymir Leon rushed to see what was going on.

When Leon got there, he almost didn't recognize his companion. Ymir had grown. He was now twenty-five feet long and ten feet high.

And Leon could see a second tail thrashing around widely with the first. Leon ran over the quadrant captain.

"What the hell happen here?" The soldier saluted, "I don't know, Sir, suddenly he stopped acting drunk, and he started to change. We were going to call it in when he roared. He damn near deafened us."

Leon smiled as he looked at Ymir. Besides his physical growth, Leon could sense something else had changed within his pet.

Leon smiled, "I guess it's time to run some test."
