Jason decided to go out for some fresh air. He walked outside of the room where Boops was still working hard at. And to the main room where he first appeared. He looked around the main room a bit because he realized that he didn't know how to get out of the headspace he was in.
The main room was a pure white room. Jason couldn't completely see because of how white everything was but he didn't see a ceiling or walls. The only thing that he did see was a white ceiling. And when Jason walked down the white room, some wooden doors appeared into his view after he walked a few minutes down the space. Well actually only one door was in Jason's sight but as he counted walking down the white space more and more rooms appeared. It seems they were all spaced around 5 minutes of walking from each other.
Jason stopped at the 20th door. He was tired and panting even though it was his own headspace. He looked at the door. Each of the doors were simple wooden ones. Except for one which was decorated with plant evgravings and read
"nature stuff"
That was the one Jason was in right now. This door had green plant engravings on it, roses were engraved to look like it was spiralled around the top while simple grass and branches were carved to cover the bottom half of the door. The engravings were all colored to their colors red for roses and green for the grass but the door itself was still its plain wooden color.
Jason looked for the handle which was a doorknob fashioned as a rose. He put his hand onto it gently and turned it. The door opened easily and Jason walked in expecting a miniature garden or something plantly and nature-like. But Jason faced another fricking white space with books piled around the place. Jason looked at the other pile of books and collapsed in sheer agony.
He didn't know how he was still sane after looking at only white and books for the past hour or so. Wait, wasn't that what instance asylums were made out of? Just white walls? Jason started to question the headspace he was in. He walked the pile of books and picked one up. He read the title.
'how to plant plants'
"how original"
'how to plant plants good'
"wow even better"
'how to plant plants better '
*slams head against wall*
"GET ORIGINAL AT LEAST"
'what to name your pet cactus'
"Hey wait, this is interesting"
Jason opened the book and started to read
"hmmm I like free hugs and mc hammer (can't touch this) but then again Senior saguaro sounds good wait why am I doing this?"
Jason then put the book down and walked out of the nature stuff room. Boops was outside waiting for Jason. Boops glowed a warm yellow
'you ready to head out?'
"yup I have no clue how to though"
'heh simple, just turn around 3 times clap your hands and then shout Boops is the best and the greatest!'
*spins 3 times* *clap* *clap* "Boops is the..., wait I'm not saying that"
Boops grumbled under his breath
'eh, worth a try'
Before Jason knew it he was opening his eyes to the library. Boops told him
'yeah just call for me and I can boot you out of your mind space, but you can do it yourself just manipulate mana to stimulate your brain and you should go back to the game world. '
"Ah I see, thank you Boops"
'Yeah let's get out of the library, for now, the system had limited space and getting invaluable information isn't what we want right now.'
"so what are we going to do after this?"
'well, we have a few goals and plans. the first thing that should be done is making sure that Perseus and Arjuna are doing fine. Maybe we can help out the tall cats if they really need it. After that is becoming an actual rose knight and climbing up the ranks. But first, explore this training center. Get more monster baits for me to investigate and use for our monster battle thing. And help the wolves do their thing.'
"hey, Boops? can you give me a quest for this?"
'heh I would love to do that but the system doesn't think that you should get one'
"really? why?"
'i really don't know, maybe it's conserving its energy or it wants to see results.'
"that reminds me Boops, what happened to the revenge quest I got?"
'oh, the revenge quest is ongoing until the pack decides it's done taking out goblins, which well, that's going to take a while.'
Jason stood up from his secluded spot and stretched his limbs a bit to keep them energized from the few hours of sitting he had done. Walking back to the original stop and exit of the library was much faster than when he walked away from it. It felt like a magnet was pulling him toward the entrance and exit so he could always find the spot, whatever that magnetic force was it also made Jason's walking speed much faster than an average sprinter. Before he knew it he was already at the exit. Staring at the door that leads to the outside. Behind him was the labyrinth.
Jason knew that when he stepped into the door it would mean that he was going to do the intelligence trial again. He probably wasn't going to be as lucky as he was before, and he was definitely going to have to fight and use his brain.
There was a skill that he hadn't used in a while that he thought would be useful to him.
[create trap: level 1]
and in his inventory
[30 metal spikes]
[cheap shovel]
[rope]
[rope]
[more rope]
These metal spikes that he had picked up were actually pretty powerful now that he thought about it. They could price most of the monsters that he faced including the goblin leader's kneecaps.
Whatever metal they were made out of Jason had an idea that they were related to that white dude that he freed. Jason opened the door, with a determined depression on his face and shovel in his hand.
The tower door opened and a teenager dressed in iron armor and holding a normal iron helmet by his side. He was holding a shovel and his expression looked like he was about to shout a war cry or something.
Jason stuck the helmet on. He didn't like having the helmet on at all times, it felt weird and made his hair look weird after he took it off. He only put it on when he was in battle or in special circumstances like traveling with the wolf pack in the beginning.
Jason looked up at the sky. The sun was dipping down at a noticeable pace. Jason's plan was to not even try and go through the path at night. Instead, he was going to sleep here and at daylight, he would go to the barracks under a much safer environment.
He started to dig pits with his shovel. He was going to use the wizard tower as a giant roof and as a defensive structure if he could. A few moments later he realized that there was no getting in there. So he did the next best thing which was to plop his sleeping bag next to the wizard tower. Make some pits and then fill them with the metal spikeS he got from the tutorial.
It took a lot longer then Jason wanted to admit. Turnes out digging a pitfall and then digging out smaller pits to stick the metal spikes in was a lot harder than he thought. And with his cheap flimsy plastic shovel, he was putting in way too much effort to dig in one spot and to successfully take out the dirt.
4 F.R.I.C.K.I.N.G HOURS the sun was setting and Jason had just barely finished. On the plus side, this counted as making a trap and his skill level went up by two. So yeah that was nice. Jason took a big yawn. He was pretty sure that the monsters wouldn't try and attack him here right?
Well, it was good to have precations and stuff. That was why the traps were set up and everything. Jason grabbed his small sleeping bad that he had bought for this exact occasion. It was a regular green sleeping bag. He unfolded it and dusted his hands a bit.
The sun was slowly setting, and holy crap it looked awesome. The sun was highlighting the white clouds that drifted on the of the trees and forests. The clouds took in the setting sun's color and multiplied it and spread it everywhere in the land. Red, orange, and yellow were sprinkled everywhere from the green grass to even the black wizard tower that loomed over everything.
Jason walked to the sleeping bag and tried to crawl in. but a notification and an invisible force stopped him.
[you can't sleep there are monsters nearby]
