A Meeting 1/2

Jason stepped into the city and looked around. He had the rest of the day and night to explore the city. He wasn't sure if he wanted to pull an allnighter and explore the city during the night yet. But if he found something interesting he probably would do so.

Jason walked into the city after showing the guard the rose pin given by Ethan. The guard instantly saluted and let Jason in without saying anything else. He leisurely walked into the city, but when he entered, almost everyone at the gate turned their attention to him. Jason was a bit uncomfortable with how everyone was just observing his every move without saying anything.

Boops watched Jason get self-conscious about himself while tsking away in his head.

'this is what you get for investing all of your points into charm Jason, deal with your the attention on your own'

So Jason walked around the city constantly checking himself to see if anything was on his clothes or he was walking weird or something. He knew the attention was probably from all of the high charm stats, but god he just couldn't help it. It was like if he did anything stupid he would instantly be judged for it.

Little did Jason know that he only had the attention of everyone in the streets as he walked by because of the confident aura and handsome looks that he possed. Well, he really wasn't that confident inside but on the outside, he briskly walked to his location with a strong and determined face on. His eyes glimmered with charisma and confidence as he walked down the streets, his entire body seemed to hold in unknown strength, and most would have guessed that he was a full-grown adult from how he carried himself.

Jason had no idea about any of this thanks to him being stuck in a training center for a while. He only thought that the charm stat would just make his convincing and leadership abilities better. But it seems that it changed not only his aura but a bit of his body and facial features.

Jason asked Boops for the directions to where Perseus asked to meet up. They were going to discuss future plans and Jason would give his spare weapons and skill books to Perseus for his guild. Speaking of which, Jason had planned before to make a guild, he just didn't have enough time to do it.

He decided against it though since it took away the bonus EXP boost that Perseus got. Speaking of which, when he got told what the rewards Perseus got from the game system, he had jumped and laughed in pure glee with Boops.

He didn't know when the hammer could be used, but the effect on it was already useful enough and the guild house and wagon. Oh man, the last time he was that excited was when he opened his system specialty back on Earth.

Jason turned left into an alleyway, Boops said it was a short cut into the next street that had the inn where Perseus was waiting at. The alleyway was dark with trash littered all around the ground and a fishy smell wafting from the entire place.

Boops noticed something on the map and told Jason

'hey I just spotted some grey dots, it's 2 of them and they just turned into the alleyway, you'll meet them in 30 seconds don't worry though the highest leveled one is level 28.'

Jason nodded in confirmation and rested his hands on his sword. But Boops cautioned him

'Jason, they are grey dots, or neutral people, don't start a fight unless you need to.'

Jason took his hand off of the handle and started to walk normally. He didn't want to seem hostile. It was hard for Jason to not view anyone that went through the back allies as normal people, but thankfully Boops stopped Jason from fighting without trying to avoid a confrontation.

Jason continued walking, and soon the two strangers came into view. One of them was wearing a hood and the other one was what Jason could only describe as a generic swordsman. With a sword strapped with his waist an iron shoulder guard and leather armor along with a shiny bald head.

Boops told Jason that the bald swordsman was the level 28 dude and that the short hooded was a measly level 10. The moment the swordsman saw Jason he went on guard. He moved one of his hands to his sword hilt and almost pulled it out.

Boops thought that Jason's title would have some effect but for some reason, both of the figures still treated Jason with cautiousness. Jason decided to raise his hands to show that he wasn't hostile. The bald swordsman lowered his guard at Jason's gesture but he still motioned to the hooded figure to get behind him.

The two parties moved toward each other one of them being extra cautious and the other one walked normally, though he had his hands raised in a peaceful way. The two passed by each other the swordsman rotating while keeping one arm out to make sure that the hooded figure stood behind him.

No words were exchanged it was just silent cautiousness and awkwardness. Jason had no idea what was going on and why the person was so cautious but after getting past the duo he just went on his way.

Boops asked Jason

'hey that duo looked pretty suspicious like they were hiding the identity of the hooded figure, you think we missed out on a quest?'

"awww frick now that I think about it, we might have just lost a quest"

'you think you can rush back to the alley to try and get one?'

"they were already highly cautious of me, I don't think me running back up to them will help me in any way"

'alright fine, man, we really need to keep an eye out for those types of people they reek of quests and loot.'

Behind Jason in the alleyway, the swordsman breathed a sigh of relief. He turned to the hooded figure

"We were lucky that human wasn't hostile, he looked pretty strong, miss we need to hurry I know a place where we can hide out for a while, it's a bit dangerous though so we need to keep hidden while we are at that facility."

The hooded figure nodded but look at Jason's figure as he walked down the alleyway to the street. Eyes with beautiful purple irises gazed at him one more time before the hooded figure rushed off with the bald swordsman who was already in the front becoming for the hooded figure to move.

Jason finally exited the alleyway and into the main street, he spotted the inn that Perseus wanted to meet at, the Lazy Cat it was an interesting name for a such a normal inn. Jason walked in to be greeted by a brown woman with short hair.

She nodded and asked Jason

"do you have a reservations, sir?"

Boops told Jason already that Perseus had rented a private room for him to safely give him the stuff, so Jason answered

"yeah, I'm meeting a person named Perseus"

The lady ahh and looked at Jason. Jason could see her checking off the list in her mind.

"he's your brother, right?"

Jason sighed, he really didn't want to explain stuff so he answered in a tried "yeah" and the lady smiled happily and told him

"your private room is upstairs room 8 I can lead you up to their if you want"

Jason declined and headed up the stairs.

"I'm good"

Jason walked up the stairs and passed by the rooms until he finally reached room 8. He opened it to see Perseus waiting for him.

Jason hadn't seen Perseus in a while thanks to his intense training. But god, he had changed in that period of time.

Perseus had sharp eyes much like Jones's and he gave off a cold aura. He sat on the table with his hands crossed. He was much different from the vibrant jumpy Perseus that Jason had seen before.

Jason had an inkling that when Perseus and Arjuna were born that they didn't really have a personality or their own identity yet so he expected for the twins to charge and get their own personality thanks to Boops's help.

But looking at the serious Perseus who folded his hands. It was a bit weird for Jason. But it wasn't like Perseus had completely changed.

When Perseus saw Jason come in he waved and greeted with a smile

"Been a while master, making us food tonight?"

The cold and intelligent Perseus had disappeared when Jason sat down and started to talk now what replaced it was the happy upbeat Perseus Jason had known before.

"ehh i'll think about it"

"alright steak and potatoes please!"

"haa you aren't listening to me huh"

Perseus nodded and Jason facepalmed. After they had a quick chat about things. Jason leaned back and asked him

"hows the guild?"

Perseus instantly straightened and the cold calculative demeanor was back.

"We have over 30 personnel, but they are all kids around level 10 or so. But with the training that I have employed, they are moving up quickly."

"whats your training?"

"monster extermination, they also do quests which gives us a bit of income also."

"how about Jack?"

"I'm teaching him as much as I can, but we really need a suitable teacher for him. We need a real rouge or ranger to teach him the way of the forest cause I'm barely scratching the surface."
