After Arjuna sat down Cadmus started to talk again, but before he did that he first profusely apologized
"I'm so sorry that that $^&(*#@ Fei Pang was let loose, he is one of the young masters of that came from the large noble families in the empire and I'm sorry I couldn't defend you, the guild master is somebody who almost always sides with the nobles."
Cadmus gripped the table with anger. Arjuna could see him thinking about something. After a bit, he looked at Arjuna
"Okay, Arjuna I'm going to talk with a friend, take today as a day off stay safe, and don't make trouble, and if that bastard Fei Pang appears just tell me."
Cadmus grabbed a black cloak that was hanging on the hook behind the door and put it over his shoulder. He nodded to Arjuna
"I trust you can head out of the place at your own time, feel free to do what you want in the training room"
Once saying that he headed out his had felt the pouch on his waist one more time as he walked down the hallway.
Arjuna had already leveled up his dawn alchemist skill to level 5 after non-stop grinding. His inventory was filled with potions of all sorts. Most of them were lower grade, but he was able to make some medium quality potions and even a high-quality health potion once. They were all in his inventory currently and Arjuna could employ them anytime he needed. He was thinking about giving his master and twin some potions but Boops said that it was too expensive to use the points to remove them in reality currently.
Arjuna stood up and started to walk down the hallway, he didn't want to practice alchemy now. While he was walking down Boops spoke for the first time after Arjuna was slapped by the servant.
'Arjuna, I think I owe you an apology, I'm sorry that I couldn't do anything to defend you from the scummy trash in that hallway. I promise you that I will try my utmost to make that never happen again.'
Arjuna answered honestly
"don't worry Boops it didn't hurt, in fact I think it hurt him more then it hurt me"
'still, that dude Fei Pang I think, I'll be sure to tell you if he or his servants comes near you'
"thank you Boops but I don't think i need that"
The two ceased talking for a bit while Arjuna headed out of the city. Arjuna suddenly had a thought and asked Boops
"can you not tell master about this incident?"
Boops instantly refused
"Nope, no way, I have an obligation to tell Jason everything even if you ask me"
Arjuna sighed
"Alright, but please make sure Jason doesn't get to upset"
'uhhh I can't really guarantee that to be honest, I'm pretty mad myself'
Arjuna slightly despaired at the fact that Jason was probably going to be furious when told the incident. He couldn't' imagine what would happen if he decided to somehow move against the family Fei Pang belonged to. Besides his master was too new to the world to make enemies currently. A single slap was a good price to make sure that he wouldn't be attacked by a noble, though Arjuna wasn't sure if it would even work.
Arjuna finally reached the outside of the city gates. He nodded politely to the city guards who nodded back and headed out. He breathed in a bit of the fresh air. He could smell fresh plants and grass already. Except for a few hills, plains stretched out as far as Arjuna could see.
Arjuna had been hunting in these plains for the past few weeks. It was extremely hard to find herbs in these fields, as most of the herbs were up to Arjuna's ankles while the average height of the grass was up to Arjuna's waist.
Thankfully Arjuna had Boops and the system's help so he could easily identify and locate the herbs. Arjuna diligently walked to one of the hills in the large plains outside of the city. It sorta felt like wading through a pool of water when he walked through the field and fields of weeds.
Arjuna walked through the field occasionally finding herbs and picking them. Every time he picked up a herb he would gain some EXP and he could also fill in the daily quota that he had placed on himself.
Arjuna reached the foot of the hill and started to hike up. He kept an eye out for any movement, there was always the occasional monster in the plains and Arjuna would always try to eliminate them. It practiced his archery skills while doing so also and was a stable source of EXP. He also got EXP from making potions.
Thanks to all of those factors and how much he grinded each one of those activities he got up to level 35, reaching close to his master and passing his twin, which he bragged about multiple times in front of him.
Arjuna steadily walked up the hill. The hill that he had chosen was one of the tallest ones. It was also one of the farthest ones that never got visited by people. Arjuna placed his hands on the tall weeds that reached his waist as he passed by, the breezy wind that made them all move around like they were dancing. The smell of fresh plants and dirt in the air along with the coolness of the wind.
Arjuna felt energized and started to leap up the hill through leaps and bounds a small grin was on his face the entire time and before long he stood at the top of the hill.
His smile slightly dropped when he reached the top. It wasn't like his dream, though it was a bit similar, he wasn't as tall as he was in the dream, the view wasn't as good. There was no connection to the place like how he had felt before. There was no tree that sheltered him from the sun this high up.
Arjuna walked to the very top of the hill a small boulder that was the highest point of the hill and laid down on it. A breeze started to swirl around lifting Arjuna's slightly longish black hair and the surrounding plains along with him.
Arjuna couldn't see it from his position, but the entire grassy plain started to move in the strong wind.
If a person went to a plain and saw the grass moving under the wind, they would know that it was mesmerizing. And if an entire plain that spread off to the distance all moved softly in the wind, it served to make a painting that would be etched in a person's memory.
Arjuna thankful sat up and was able to witness that. He sat and watched silently as the wind and weeds did their thing.
Until finally the wind stopped blowing and the grass and weeds returned to their normal positions as if nothing had happened.
Arjuna didn't get the notification but Jason got one while he was training desperately
[your subordinate Arjuna has witnessed a part of nature]
[your subordinate has grown and gained a new talent!]
[talent will be unknown until the subordinate has awakened it]
Arjuna was completely oblivious to everything. He just enjoyed nature and the solitude one more time, before he stood up and got ready to head down.
He hadn't completely mastered the arrow making skill and he hadn't gotten the skill yet so he needed to go with his Archery teacher Sninkkaakac to completely and fully learn it.
***************************************************************************************************
In the archery guild master, Sninkkaakac was preparing for his lessons. Everyone in the guild noticed it, master Sninkkaakac was known for being mean and nasty, he would yell at every one if they made a mistake or didn't do something right. Sometimes he even kicked some people out of the guild for the day if they made a mistake, But now he was currently in his room preparing for a lesson while happily humming to himself.
He was currently drawing blueprints and writing documents for Arjuna to use. He had currently made every single book that he had given to Arjuna, every research paper and diagram was hand-drawn for Arjuna.
Every day when he taught Arjuna he just got happier and happier, sometimes he would even catch himself grinning to himself as he thought in glee about finally finding somebody worthy enough to teach.
Sninkkaakac's thoughts were interrupted by a slow knock on his door. He turned around to see a hooded figure inside his room knocking on his door to get his attention.
The hooded figure was wearing a familiar black hood. Sninkkaakac rose and addressed the person
"you again? I thought we talked over everything, what more do you want?"
The hooded figure tossed a set of documents on the table the gnome master was working on. Sninkkaakac looked at the tiny note that was written on the top of the document. He turned back to address the hooded figure but he was already gone.
Sninkkaakac sighed and muttered to himself
"The Pang family huh"
