Jason woke up and ran to his capsule. He had slept in and even though Boops tried his best to wake Jason up, Jason just couldn't get up no matter what sound Boops tried. Eventually, Boops played a recording of Charlie yelling at him, and finally, Jason jumped up sweating hard.
Jason had glanced at the window as he ran to the capsule and saw the sun shining brightly in its morning glory.
It was a magnificent view, with the sun illuminating the city and the people that were slowly stirring awake. Jason could also briefly see the river that he went to before on the edge of the window shining brightly with the morning light.
But the moment Jason saw the morning sun, even more, cold sweat was added his soaked back. He was already late once, but thankfully Colby saw past it. He didn't think that Mark would let it go. So a quick douse of water from the faucet on his face was the only thing that consisted of his morning routine today.
The blue and black capsule slowly opened up, and the impatient Jason tried to resist forcing the lifting top of the capsule back so he could jump into it.
Jason was extremely tired because of the activities he had done the night before. After Colby left, he ran to the cafeteria and begged the staff for food, which they gave him. After that Jason idly walked around the campus, he checked on the wolves, giving Jeffery and the rest of the wolves their snakoes.
He and the alpha wolf had got to talk a bit about the situation and their current status. Jason learned about the source of those miracle potions that he was given. They were actually made from a patch of flowers the pack had found during their travels.
Sadly the patch of flowers was small and they couldn't make too many of the miracle potions. The alpha wolf had shown Charlie the location of the plants, and he was currently researching their properties. Besides that, most of the wolves had reached level 45, the alpha wolf was currently at level 60 and had some special skills.
Jason wanted to talk a bit more with the alpha wolf but a loud and familiar voice was heard from the outside of the warehouse that the wolves were staying at
"I SMELL HOOMAN, I SMELL SNAKOES"
The doors to the warehouse burst open and their stood Jeffery in all of his derpy glory. A green barrack member was behind him carrying a bow and a quiver in his hands. Seeing Jason he smilled and said to him
"he was a great help in the patrol today, I'm still really confused as to how you were able to tame this pack, but it really helped the entire green barrack so thank you"
After that, the green barrack tossed a slice of bacon to Jeffery who jumped up using his powerful limbs to catch it in his mouth. Jeffery didn't even bother chewing and swallowed the entire thing in one large gulp.
Jeffery then happily trotted to Jason and said proudly
"hooman, I smelled some wolves when I was going with that other nice hooman, they smelled weird"
Jason raised his eyebrows in surprise and asked the alpha wolf about that, he answered that now wolves besides Jeffery went out to patrol.
After that Jason collected the monster baits that the wolves had gotten in the period of time, he was gone. Sadly the wolves didn't gain inventories even though they were his direct subordinates. But they didn't have a level cap anymore, and could freely interact with their status. Jason witnessed one of the wolves opening up his status board and poking the stamina stat with his nose to increase it. When they became his subordinates it seems they were imbued with the knowledge of using the status board, and Boops assured it was painless.
In total Jason got about 5 monster baits, all of them were goblin baits. The pack was probably a bit biased but Jason wouldn't complain. It just meant that the goblins in the battle royal he planned were going to be a bit stronger.
The wolves had learned that some of the stuff the goblins had were valuable. It had taken a while to explain to them, but they eventually got it after Jason explained that snakoes would be given for the shiny stuff.
Soon after that, a group of wolves lead by Jeffery would always grab the shiny stuff and carry it with their teeth or lay in on their backs. That was how they transported the monster baits also.
After that Jason decided to cook a little feast for the wolves as a sign of his gratitude. That announcement was met with pure joy and happiness by the wolves, Jason was pretty sure he saw one of the wolves accidentally bang his head on the ceiling of the warehouse by jumping too high out of glee. That wolf was of course fine, he landed perfectly and wobbled around dizzily before finally shaking it off.
Jason brought out the small handheld grill that he had bought for occasions like these. He fired it up instantly while the wolves ooh and ahh ed at the instantaneous fire that he had made.
The moment he brought out the meat and set it on the grill another large commotion was made in the pack.
As Jason was grilling the sun had set and soon, you could only briefly see a single light from Jason's grill and a bunch of wolf silhouettes happily running around the grill.
From an outsider's perspective, it would have seemed like a creepy ritual or something. That was until suddenly multiple lights around Jason and the pack was made.
Jason instantly went on guard drawing his sword and getting ready to employ the 3rd form. The wolves also stopped running around and faced outwards growling to warn the unknown intruders.
There was only one wolf that stood up like it was wondering what was going on. It was Jeffery who stood in a confused was looking back and forth at Jason and the pack to the darkness that had suddenly been illuminated by soft lights. He said in his loud voice
"more humans.... more snakoes?"
and that was when Boops laughed and told Jason to check the analyzed data that he tried to show him earlier.

The list went on and on and as Jason watched with his own eyes, those small tiny lights quickly turned into roaring campfire that flickered cheerfully. Jason saw one of the campfires nearest to him have a few figures around the fire putting meat on skewers and placing them on the fire.
The same scene happened in each of the campfires. Members of all barracks cheerfully making food together and talking. Jason spotted his teams campfire, and Mark it seems felt his gaze and turned to wave at him.
Jeffery on the other hand after smelling the food cooking started to run towards the campfires yelling out his war cry
"SNAKOES GIMME"
Most of the guys around the campfire had brought food and drinks. While he was cooking the food he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around to see Ardem holding 2 mugs of frothing cold beer with one outstretched to him.
Jason smilled and took it, while Ardem sat next to Jason and watched patiently as the wolves resumed their little ritual.
The light from all of the campfires lit up the surrounding grass and trees around the people. The stars came out along with the moon and they all shined brightly down on the people and animals celebrating and having fun.
Jason spotted some of the red barrack members carrying large tables and wooden benches for people to sit on. The green barrack members cleared out the surrounding weeds and plants for the benches and tables to be placed properly. The blue barrack members were making sure that the campfires were still hot and fiery and were bringing the food over. Some of the guys stayed at the campfire to take a quick break or talk with friends. But most of the platoon was on the large circle of tables, laughing drinking and telling stories.
Soon the people at the tables turned things into a drinking competition. The red barrack members guzzled mug after mug like they were water, while the blue barrack members put in some pill into theirs. Jason thought he could see some of the blue barrack members even using magic, to turn the beer back into water. The green barrack members were quickly drinking too, some were drinking just like the red barrack but some made theirs quickly disappear like the drink had been dumped out instantly somewhere.
Jason had finished making the food and let the wolves eat their fill to which they happily hopped over in glee to eat. He grabbed his portion and Ardem's, and the two silently watched the surrounding commotion with small smiles on their faces.
Later Jason learned that the platoon was attracted by the smell of the food and decided to make an impromptu camp out. The person with the highest authority lady Megra instantly approved of it, so the entire group quickly ran to make their campfires and get some food cooking.
Jason happily remembered the past events as he waited for the stupid capsule to open up. He really felt like it was taking forever.
