Jason bent down to greet Jeffery who skid to a stop right in front of him.

He asked Jeffery quietly and gently

"what are you doing here?"

Jeffery smilled a wolfish grin and answered

"TO HELP THE HOOMANS, CUASE THEY BE BOUT TO FIGHT SO WE HELP!"

Jason turned around and spotted Ethan walking over to him. Jason called out to him and asked

"Ethan, what's going on?"

"what? can't you tell? its the final trial dude we were given instructions to meet here and bring our weapons. Lady Megra is coming in a few hours to give us final instructions so we are preparing for an expedition."

"do you know what it is?"

"Nope, no idea, but it definitely is going to do with fighting and traveling"

Jason was a bit confused as to what was going on, it was like he was just thrown into a really intense battlefield or something. After he just got out of training for a week he was then thrown back into a final trial. Like what was going on? Jason had no idea as all of the platoon members hurred to prepare before Lady Megra came along.

Jason kept on looking around. It was still around noontime, and everyone was busy. Jason asked Ethan

"are the wolves coming with us?"

Ethan suddenly stopped and started to think

"Well we can, but its probably going to be really dangerous for them"

One of the green barrack members hearing Jason and Ethan's conversation stepped in

"wait, I disagree with letting the wolves come, they are too valuable to lose in the trial, and the final trials are always known for being extremely hard, we have been training for most of our lives for this, and I don't think that they can make it"

More green barrack members stopped to talk a bit

"yeah, I think the best thing for the wolves is to stay here and defend until we get back"

More of the green barracks started to agree and Ethan turned to them and said loudly

"Alright, guys I'm sure you know this but Arch is one of the leaders of the pack, it's his decision, its fine if you try and convince him but don't force him into anything"

Jason nodded in thanks to Ethan who smilled and walked off.

Jason started to have a discussion with the green barrack members because he too wasn't sure about whether or not he should bring the wolves with him. He could tell that the green barrack members really cared about the wolves. Especially since they were so helpful in reconnaissance and if one of them died it would hurt all of them. But on the other hand, bringing the wolves would make things much easier for the final trial.

So Jason sat down with some of the green barrack members to talk about pro's and con's. He had asked Boops about it and he said that the trial could be a chance for the wolves to grow, but at the same time he might lose some of them.

Meanwhile, Jeffery was watching everything that was unfolding in front of his eyes. He cocked his head in confusion at Pack co-leader and the other nice hoomans talking about something. He barked to one of the wolves next to him. And that wolf nodded his head and started to run off into the direction of the training center.

The 3 barracks were working together to finish the final trial, and if they did complete the trial and were acknowledged by the higher-ups. They would finally graduate and become true Rose Knights. It was the ambition of many of them as kids and they were so close to it become a reality, but the heavy memories of their last try weighed them down and their goal seemed to get farther and farther away.

Each of the barracks was separated into teams, from team 1 to team 9 the number of people in the teams varied. Currently, there was only 200 trainees attempting the final trial. Before it was much more than that, but now after the "incident" they screening process was made much tighter so that it would never happen again.

Only time would tell if that decision was worth it.

Each of the barracks had their own leaders, they were leaders because they either earned their respect by skill, strength, or intelligence. They were still trainees, but all of them had different backgrounds and secrets.

They met in the center of the field in a small tent, most of the platoon members didn't pay attention to the three figures meeting up.

One of them was Charlie the representative and leader of the Blue barrack, the person next to him with a green bandana tied to his arm, and a black mask on his face nodded. Ardem Ardem Marbletail the green barrack representative and the leader of the Green barrack. The two turned their attention to the last and final leader/representative.

He sat down heavily with his armor that had a rose pattern etched into it. He was a red-bearded man, he had thick muscles and short trimmed red hair. He nodded to the other two leaders. His name was Jitsuryoku. He was formerly one of the strongest red barrack members before the "incident" of being betrayed. It was only after they got closer and closer to the final trial did he start training and focused on it. Now he had proved himself in a short span of time that he was the leader of the red barrack.

He leaned back to make himself comfortable and looked at the two silent people in front of him.

"so, we finally reached it again Charlie, Ardem, hows that new kid who beat the agility trial on his first try?"

Charlie smilled with a tiny bit of pride in his voice

"he's doing just fine, he learned the swordsmanship if that's what you were worried about"

Jitsuryoku leaned back his head and laughed

"he's a rose knight, that's a requirement for us"

Ardem spoke for the first time since the meeting

"not, yet"

The two looked at him in curiosity

"not...rose knights.... yet"

Jitsuryoku placed his elbow on the chair rest and looked into Charlie's eyes

"that's right, we aren't rose knights yet, let me ask you this Charlie, can we trust him?"

The atmosphere in the tent got worse and worse, all three of them thinking about their leader that had abandoned them for money and status.

Charlie stood up and looked at Jitsuryoku confidently

"lady Megra saw something in him, I didn't see what it was until this week, he showed me an unreal level of determination that I haven't seen on anyone. He wasn't like that generation of rose knights that only took advantage of the title and made everyone else do the work. He wasn't the people that did it only for the status. He managed to do learn something in a week that took the rest of us years. Lady Megra is the highest level of Authority and she had directly hired him just like you and me. That to me is more than enough for me to trust him, and with what he has done, he had also gained a bit of my respect as well."

Jitsuryoku sat and thought about what Charlie had said. A small grin was on his face

"you know talent when you see it, heh I can't its been a few weeks since he barely finished that agility trial and now he's at the level of a barrack leader praising him"

Charlie smilled and answered

"you'll see when you meet him again"

"I'll get my expectations up, Charlie"

Jitsuryoku thought for a bit and then asked Charlie

"alright out of us 3 you and your team have been more in contact with the higher-ups then the rest so do you have any idea what we are doing?"

Charlie's face turned serious and he said solemnly

"it's not like that quest like last time. we aren't hunting something or completing a mission for a guild. No, we are defending something the lives of others are in our hands and in this, people might die"

Jitsuryoku raised his eyebrows in surprise and started to think out loud

"the red barrack members can do defense, but I'm not sure about the green and blue, it seems though that your two have shaped them up into being actually useful though, so I'm sure that we can figure something out, hmm hey Charlie are the rose mages sending anyone?"

Charlie shook his head and Jitsuryoku shook his head is sadness.

Jitsuryoku turned to Ardem who was silently watching everything unfold

"anything else you want to add Ardem?"

Ardem shook his head and Jitsuryoku took out a parchment of paper from his satchel and spread on the table in front of the three leaders to see.

He looked at each of them in the eye and smilled

"Well boys, we're back, and we're not failing this one"
