The sun rose on the group of rose knights as they ran as quickly as their legs could take them to the city of Muno. Though the city of Muno was a relatively small city, it was important and needed to be defended as it was in a good location and had some valuable resources around it such as the rare metals in the surrounding cliffs and mines.
Charlie was in the front of the group running so fast that his legs became a blur. Even though the blue barrack that he lead wasn't the fastest, they were definitely able to run 2 days straight in fact it was nothing compared to the survival month that they had. That was, well that was a bad memory for everyone in the platoon.
It had been two days, and he could already see the two large white cliffs that signaled that they were close to the city of Muno.
He was proud of the platoon's stamina but looking behind him, he could faintly see a large group of horsemen closing in on them. It would seem that the bandit army was in close pursuit of them and was finally getting close to them after their large headstart after all of the chaos they had made.
Charlie had to chuckle to himself as he thought about their little attack on their camp.
It was almost comical to see a bandit getting out of his tent to take a piss only to see a flying man with a shield a few feet above him.
Charlie urged the blue and green members to hurry up and he prayed that the red barrack members could also do that.
Some of the green barrack members realized that the red barrack members were slowing down the entire group's speed so they started to carry their equipment such as their sheilds.
From the two cliffs, 2 figures emerged riding on horses. Charlie strained his eyes but they were still too far away to see who those people where. Thankfully Ardem who was right next to Charlie focused his eyes and gave an answer
"green barrack"
And as both parties approached each other at top speed Charlie could see after a few minutes that indeed the two figures riding towards them were two green barrack members, members who he had sent to assist that village a while back. The one he had sent Arch to. Charlie's thoughts started to center around Arch
He was decently talented, he still wasn't sure why he was recruited by lady Megra, but then again she recruited him and found his hidden talent so he really couldn't say anything. Charlie turned his head to look for his team, he could see Colby running at the forefront of the back with an expressionless face, while Lyle was running nonchalantly with his hands behind his back. Ethan and Mark were chatting, having a serious discussion about food.
Charlie had the sudden urge to facepalm at the sight of his team members doing literally anything besides being normal. But then again they all were a bit special even him and Arch.
Time passed and soon the two riders had arrived, they waited for the platoon to pass them and they started to ride around them trying to reach the leaders that were in the front.
After a bit, Charlie was able to start talking to the green barrack members. The green barrack members reported everything that happened in the village and how their team leader had to stay since he was the only one capable of taking care of the villagers.
Charlie then asked about where they were situated now, and one of the green barrack members couldn't help but let out a small grin.
"Sir, in the past 2 days we have been doing a lot of work, when you run in you will be surprised there will be a trench that you guys will need to jump over and you just need to follow the wolves, they will make sure you don't get caught"
Charlie nodded, he didn't really have any idea what was going on, but Arch was in charge and if there was anybody he trusted, it was someone the Blue 2 team, if anyone was even allowed in the team, it was like Lady Megra stating that that person was trustworthy.
The two green barrack members then went to where the rest of the green barrack members were.
The while cliffs got closer and closer to Charlies view , he didn't really know what Arch was going to do and it seems the green barrack members wouldn't tell him what was going on. He could probably force them to tell him, but had some trust in Arch, even though he was a newbie to the group.
Another green barrack member ran up to him and reported urgently
"sir, the bandits behind us are picking up speed, they are gaining on us"
Charlie quickly looked the cliffs in front of them and the thousands of bandits riding on horses gaining on them. He looked at Ardem and asked quickly
"how much longer till we get to the city"
A falcon-type bird swept through the sky at that exact moment and landed perfectly on Ardem's shoulder even though he was in middle of running. Ardem's eyes seemed to shine in a pale gold just like the falcon's eyes and after a bit he looked at Charlie and answered
"1 hour"
"How soon will the bandits catch up to us?"
"30 minutes"
Charlie grinned in response and answered
"we'll make it in twenty"
he raised his magnificent sword and started to chant, the gem in the middle started to glow green as he uttered the words

The entire platoon noticed that their feet were glowing with a soft bright green. The color of the element of wind. The speed of the entire platoon started to increase exponentially. Now even the red barrack members who were the slowest of the bunch were now just as fast as the green barrack members in their normal state.
Ardem's falcon took to the skies again and he closed on of his eyes and and after a bit he reopened it and nodded to Charlie. That nod meant that they could make it.
Charlie could hear Jitsuryoku call out to the platoon
"ALRIGHT TWATS, WE ARE REACHING THAT CITY BEFORE THE BANDITS OR ELSE I WILL PERSONALLY MAKE EACH ONE OF YOU RUN THE AGILITY COURSE AGAINST THE DEMON MAGE"
Suffice to say, the speed of the platoon started to increase exponentially. Especially the red barrack members they acted like they saw a ghost or something as they started to even overtake the green and blue barrack members who were running in the front.
The blue and green barrack members got slightly annoyed that they were losing to the red barrack on speed of all things and started to speed up too.
The 3 barracks went at breakneck speed straining to beat each other. They started to forget that they were fighting an army of bandits and focused on maintaining the honor of their barrack.
They reached the white cliffs in 16 minutes
Ardem with the help of his falcon was able to point out a hidden trench that was nestled behind a slight inclination that suddenly dropped into a pit. If an unsuspecting person were to rush over they would plunge into that trench full of spikes.
As they got closer Charlie prepared to yell, he breathed in and out and at the moment they were 5 meters away he yelled out
"JUMP"
None of the rose knight trainees questioned it, they just jumped as high as they could. And Charlie while he was jumping turned around and satisfactorily watched as they jumped up in sync like kids playing jump rope. None of them plunged into the trench and they landed on the grass and were able to continue running.
They quickly went back into formation and as Charlie ran through he noticed some liquid on the grass. In front of them, was 2 wolves they were both barking and howling as loud as they could to get their attention. Charlie chanted up a mini light ball and shot it up into the sky to show them they saw the wolves.
The wolves seemed to understand and they started to split off into two. Charlie quickly realized what they meant, and nodding to Ardem and with a few commands they split into two arrowhead formations Charlie with the blue barrack and half of the red barrack and Ardem with the green and the other half of the red barrack.
The wolves lead them around something and made them hug the sides of the cliffs until they reached the city of Muno that had its gates closed.
Charlie was a bit confused but the wolves lead them to the very corner of the valley which right in front of the wall which went across the width of the entire valley.
Charlie stopped to take a break, but as he did he noticed a few figures on the cliff, if his eyes weren't wrong, there was about 5-8 humans and a bunch of wolves standing on the cliff.
