The dagger-wielding figure landed on the ground with one arm immobilized and the other still reeling from the force of the arrow.
The dagger-wielding figures' first instinct was to run and so he turned aground and used sneak to melt into the surroundings.
But the cry of a hawk and a pursuing Ardem ran after him. Ardem threw 3 daggers at once each one of them seemed to home in on the dagger-wielding figure's heart, left leg, or right arm.
He tried to strafe to the left but before he could do so an arrow landed right where he planned to jump to. The arrow shot from the wall seemed to be a warning.
The dagger figure turned off sneak so that he could conserve mana. He desperately reached into his pocket, in his hands was their trump card that was supposed to be used to breach the gate of Muno.
No, it was the only way to get through at this point, they needed the city of Muno, or all of the plans would be laid to waste. With a bit of determination, the dagger-wielding figure lifted his leg and let the three daggers fly into his left leg.
They sunk into his leg and he let out a grunt of pain. But he bit down on his teeth and pulled out the purple stone that had a bit of darkness swirling in it.
He injected all of the mana he had and threw it as hard as he could towards the city gate.
The purple orb flew at the gate in an arc soaring above the heads of the bandits and the rose knight. The archers and the Baron who was on the walls also saw it.
The Baron quickly saw what it was and took his bow and quickly shot 3 arrows out of his bow at a rapid speed.
The Baron watched as the first arrow struck the orb but bounced off like it was nothing. The second also was deflected off of the smooth purple orb but not without creating a small dent.
The 3 and final arrow flew in and seemed to price through the orb. The arrowhead pushed through the casing and where the darkness mixed with a magenta violet resided in a gaseous form.
For a second it seemed like time stopped, but then a huge explosion erupted from the purple orb.
The explosion was enormous it engulfed a space of 40 meters wide and 30 meters high. The fire seemed to have a dark purple tint to it and it brought about a purple smoke similar to the one the two hooded figures used to escape.
The orb exploded in the air high above the battle so, only for a second when all of the air was vacuumed away, the people froze to look at it. The only thing that could be heard over the loud rumbling explosion was the loud cry of the dagger-wielding figure.
Welf in the very back behind the bandit armies witnessed, the explosion in the air and gripped his fists in rage.
He said in an angry tone
"he had one job"
He looked at the several hundred elite bandits surrounding him. He motioned with his hand and yelled
"kill these scum we will chop off all of their heads and drink from them"
The bandits around him let out a resounding yell and charged. Welf followed them and suddenly stopped a few hundred meters away from the fighting.
He got off his horse and pulled back his fist. He closed his eyes and gathered a type of energy into his arm then fist.
He opened his eyes, which gave off a light green glow with a shout and punched out.
A gust of wind almost like a tornado blew from his hands blasting through the bandits and rose knight trainees alike blowing them away.
The blast of wind struck the gates and even made it rattle under the force.
All eyes seemed to turn to Welf as he stood there in silence gripping his fist.
Welf walked towards the fighting, his entire body gave off an aura that freaked many people. It was like they were going against a wild animal.
But just as suddenly as Welf had appeared somebody else had moved.
Part of the orb of light that was maintaining the visibility of the place split off and flew towards a person.
Charlie weaved through the groups of fighting people bandits and rose knights alike, once the cluster of light reached Charlie he held out his crystal blue colored sword. The sword absorbed the light and the blue metal seemed to resonate with it, glowing a bright and intense light just like the orb.
He pulled back his sword and swung it as hard as he could, the sword let out a giant blade of light, cleaving through the bandits and heading straight towards Welf.
Welf punched out hard against the light blade, and he was pushed back a few meters as he tried to resist it. After a bit of fighting between the blade of light and Welf, the blade dissipated into yellow orbs and floated up. Welf looked at his fist to see it bleeding and bruised.
He looked at it and gave a grin and went into a proper fighting stance like he had done it his entire life.
A sudden smash back from the flanks caught some of the people nearby attention, a person who was just as big and bulky as the red barrack members, who bore a shield charged out of the crowd of bandits like a bull.
Their ran Colby his emotionless face didn't change as he plowed through bandits as he ran over to where Charlie and Welf were facing off.
Where the red barrack members and the spearmen were facing off against the main force of the bandits a sudden wide slash cleared out an arc of bandits, the only person who stood in that arc was a red-haired boy who let a bloodstained black blade rest on his shoulders.
He disappeared and reappeared at Charlie's side with a grin on his face.
The loud neighs of horses were the next thing that caught the people's attention, two horses charged out with their original riders being dragged on the ground behind them, the two figures who were ridding the horses were Ethan and Mark. They stole the spears the elite bandits were using and were cleaving themselves a path.
Mark actually got lazy and jumped off of the horse and jumped above the entire battle and landed gently in front of Charlie and brandished his sword. Ethan took his time clearing out as many bandits as possible until he stood next to Charlie with the horse, which was now neighing in happiness at finding a master that knew how to take care of him.
And last but not least from the flanks. A figure ran through the bandit crowd escorted by wolves, his sword style switched from an all-out attack to an assassin's style of mixing speed and attack. Sometimes his simple steel sword would glow blue and he would pierce through a group of bandits, other times he would disappear only to stab the bandit he was facing in the back. Sometimes he even fought with a metal spike in hand throwing it into the crowd constantly.
He gave off an aura of a leader though he looked young. He bore a magnetism that made it irresistible to not give him a second glance.
Wolves guarded his flanks and protected him at all costs. Yet he didn't let them do the work he charged deep into crowds of bandits.
His black hair glistened and his face seemed to radiate majesty. He wore a simple iron helmet, yet the way he wore it made it look like a crown. He had a simple iron chest plate on yet it would deflect the blows of countless bandits swords, arrows, and daggers.
Under the fearsome attack of that black-haired figure, and the wolves the bandits parted like the waves of the sea. Running away from the person who merciless dove into groups of bandits and slaughtering them.
He walked leisurely to Charlie, while the wolves quickly retreated back to the blue barrack members on the flanks while the bandits watched dumbfoundedly and didn't even think about attacking them while they passed.
Jason, no, Arch stood in front of Charlie and the rest of the Blue 2 team. He stood up in pride and tapped his chest.
"Arch, reporting for duty"
Charlie nodded towards Arch, and a green and yellow light seemed to emit out of his sword as he turned around to face Welf. Lyle's black sword's red runes seemed to grow even more brightly. Colby's plain shield seemed to give off an ancient aura. Ethan's horse reared at Welf, Mark stood in front of Charlie pointing his blade at Welf.
And Jason held his sword in his right hand let his mana flow into it, giving off a radiant blue light.
