Finally

Arjuna slammed open the door to Cardem's office while holding an entire crate of potions safely secured in his hands.

Alanis walked in behind Arjuna with a smile on her face though nobody could see it.

Arjuna placed the crate of perfect grade potions onto the table and faced Cadmus who was busy writing something down.

"master Nycodus," He said breathlessly "I finished"

Cadmus turned around in surprise

"Really?" he asked as he walked over to the crate of potions. He took out one and held it up to the light.

A bright green glow emanated from the potion bottle, it reminded Arjuna of the windy breeze whenever he looked at it. Which was probably the point since it was a speed potion.

Arjuna proudly analyzed the potion in Cadmus's hands

[speed potion(excellent rank)]

[effect: movement speed is increased by 20% for 20 minutes]

[disription: a potion that has been made by a promising new alchemist, though he is lacking in experience and technique, all instructions were followed extremely well in the making of this potion and it will bring enhanced speed to the person that drinks it]

It had taken him more than 4 hours and more than 500 tries, it would have taken him much longer if Alanis wasn't next to him, helping out with the ingredients and just being somebody in the room.

Cadmus shook the potion a bit, peering at it for a few seconds. He put it back into the crate

"Alright," he said with a smile "I have verified these are all excellent grade, this is your reward, also you can keep the failed or lower potions that you made, sell them and treat your self or something"

Cadmus handed to Arjuna a skill book that was on his desk.

"here," he said "your reward, be sure to read through this carefully and come to me if you have any questions"

Arjuna nodded and took the book he was about to walk out of the office eager to analyze and learn the skill. But Alanis stopped him with a nudge.

Arjuna turned to Cadmus and asked

"do you happen to know about Nightfall Archers?"

Cadmus stopped what he was tinkering with and turned to look at Arjuna.

The two made deep eye contact and Arjuna felt like he was being investigated.

Cadmus narrowed his eyes as he continued to look at Arjuna until he finally answered

"I don't know anything about that, but you should check the library if you want information"

The mission details of the Nightfall Archer succession quest changed

[Night fall Archer succession quest part 2]

[you have proved your strength to Sninkkaakac, but a Nightfall Archer must not only be strong, but they must also be knowledgable you must now prove your knowledge to Sninkkaakac by unveiling the meaning of a Nightfall archer, only then can you truly start your path to succession.]

[mission completion requirements: impress Sninkkaakac with your knowledge]

[uncover the mysteries of the Nightfall Archers in the city Library]

[rewards: dependant on the rank of completetion]

Arjuna gave a small bow to Cadmus

"thank you, master Cadmus"

Cadmus sighed and waved his hand as he sat back down at his cluttered desk.

"go, figure out whatever you are looking for"

Arjuna and Alanis then went out of the office, and once the wooden door safely closed Cadmus sighed and leaned back in his cushioned chair.

"what is that gnome doing" he muttered to himself before he picked up the paper that was placed in the center of his desk.

It was a report that was distributed to all of the head alchemists like Cadmus.

[rumors of a new alchemist genius have risen, he is said to produce excellent grade potions with ease, to instantly know herbs just by one look and has the perfect affinity with all of the different elements and the mana manipulation skill too]

Cadmus smiled as he read through the report, when he said that he wanted to acquire the source of the high-quality golden seal he didn't think that the person would be such a talented individual. Of course, the rest of the dawn alchemists didn't know that the very genius that rumors were being spread about was actually housed in the poorest and weakest building out of the 7 buildings.

Cadmus smiled as he lifted up the excellent grade speed potions. Even he who was praised as an alchemist prodigy by his master, the legendary dawnlight alchemist, could only make excellent grade potions when he passed 20 years of age.

Of course, Arjuna was just starting on the path of an Alchemist, but Cadmus had high hopes for him.

Meanwhile, Arjuna and Alanis excited the dawn alchemist guild and walked down the main street.

Arjuna happily checked on the hundreds of speed potions that he had in his inventory and selected the highest grade out of them and placed them neatly on the pouch on his waist that held his potions.

He then looked at the skill book that he had tucked safely in his arm. He gave an appraising look at it, it had a dark green cover with gold letters written on the front.

It read

[create bomb]

Arjuna's jaw dropped.

"No fricking way," he said as he gingerly ran his fingers over the golden words on the cover of the skill book.

Arjuna was in disbelief, Cadmus's words that he had said to him the first day he went to class repeated in his mind.

"an alchemist is inherently weak, we are a production class that focusings on making things," Cadmus had said, but that wasn't all Arjuna remembered Cadmus pulling a potion out of his pouch. He splashed the black and purple liquid onto the table next to him and Arjuna watched as the entire table dissolved into smoke within a matter of seconds.

Cadmus smiled when he saw Arjuna's expression and continued

"that's why we must do what most fighters cannot we must cheat and crawl our way out in fights using everything in our arsenal to get out of one battle, from things that are deemed unhonourable from poisonous gas to bombs and other traps, an alchemist uses all of these, and crushes the enemy with them."

Arjuna could already imagine what he could do with the skill book in his hands. He quickly analyzed it

[you like to learn the skill (create bomb)?]

[yes/no]

Arjuna clicked on the yes quickly and a notification came up to him as he walked down the streets.

[create bomb]

[discription: with the right ingredients make a bomb of varying intensity and quality depended on skill level]

[cool down: 1 hour]

Arjuna really wanted to try out the skill, but he didn't have anything useful currently. Still, he was thankful to Cadmus who had given him the skill book.

Alanis suddenly grabbed Arjuna's collar. He looked up to see a large marble pillar that he was just inches away from crashing into.

Alanis simply pointed to the large sign that stretched from the pillar that Arjuna almost crashed into.

[City Libray] Arjuna read.

He looked back at Alanis who facepalmed and pushed Arjuna in

"let's go," she said in an annoyed tone, Arjuna really was the type of person to zone out while a person was trying to talk to her. He literally walked down the street staring at the book in his hands. Alanis didn't know why he was so fixated on it, but nevertheless, she got annoyed at it.

The two walked into the library. It was the city library and therefore one of the largest ones. Alanis counted 5 different floors as she walked into the library each one stacked with shelves of books. The library was a large building with a square cut into the middle of each of the 5 floors. Stairs on the side connected the different floors. They had walked into the first floor where a receptionist sat busying reading a book.

Alanis marched up to the receptionist still in a rotten mood, she said in the deepest voice she could manage

"The books on the elven kingdom, where?"

The receptionist looked at the suspicious hooded figure and narrowed her eyes and said sinisterly

"and why do you want to know about that disgusting group of creatures?"

Alanis's foul mood got even worse as somebody insulted her race and she gripped her fists inside her cloak as was about to throw hands.

A strong but elegant hand caught Alanis's shoulder. Both she and the receptions turned to look at Arjuna who had stopped Alanis.

Arjuna gave the receptionist a gentle pacifying smile and said

"We just are curious about the elves"

The receptionist nodded her head, while her eyes were entranced and glued to Arjuna's face.

"3 floor, 4th section, 15 row," she said in an almost dream-like manner.

Arjuna smiled and gave the receptionist a thank you and dragged the fuming Alanis up the stairs.

Arjuna had barely snapped himself out of his thinking trance when he had seen Alanis about to straight-up strangle the library receptionist.

But as he was thinking about the skill he had just gotten, he had started to get an idea of what the gnome master wanted in the mission he had just given.
