It's Just the Beginning

After Stacey walked out of the event hall she immediately called her driver/secretary to meet her in the entrance. After a while, her car arrived and she immediately get in. Her secretary didn't even bother getting out to open the door for her since it's in their agreement. Her driver/secretary is Tiffany, her most trusted person in fact she was the only one she trusted. They have a long history which tested and build their good relationship. And because of that Tiffany always call Stacey using her first name when they were alone but of course if other people were around or if they're in public or at work, she always call her Ma'am Stacey because it was the proper etiquette.

"Stacey how's the party?" Tiffany asked.

"Well it's no different, just like any other parties it's so predictable. Of course it's full of people who don't know how to do business but became popular only because of their connections. Many of them attended the party only to show off their luxurious accessories and to broaden their connection." Stacey said while looking at the window.

Tiffany glances at her then said, "Well it can't be help, you know how rich people do their business."

"Yes I know it very well, that's why I hate those kind of people. They're just leaching of each other. They will all act kindly and friendly in front of you then schemed something behind your back. After that they all expect me to respect them, to give them advice and help them build their empire! No way that will never gonna happen!" Anger and hatred filled Stacey eyes. "That's why I gave them the speech and advice they all deserved." After saying that her mouth move up forming an evil smirk.

Seeing her expression, Tiffany doesn't need to asked what happened earlier in the party because she already guessed what happen. "I bet they all hated you to death by now, they knew for sure that you had the intention to humiliate them in the first place."

"Well the hell I care, why would I even worry about how they feel if they didn't even care about what other qpeople. I just gave them the taste of their own medicine. Also they all know me from the start, they know about my attitude and how I do my things. I don't please other people, if they can't accept me well it's their problem. After all my attitude won't affect my business at all because I'm good in doing my work."

After hearing all of that, Tiffany just gave a faint smile. Stacey really did change a lot after all these years but she can't blame her.

The party continues after Stacey left the party. In fact the environment of the party did change a lot, it became more livelier but despite that many big time businessman and well-known personalities were quiet mad at some point because they felt insulted and humiliated from what Stacey said earlier at the stage. They all know that what Stacey has said were all true and that's the main reason why they were angry because they can't accept the reality.

"I really hate that Stacey, I hate her attitude! She always think so highly of herself. She's just a guest but she dared to humiliate us!" Mr. Reynold said angrily. He's one of the VIP customers in the shopping mall that the Cruz's family owns. He also has a good relationship with the Cruz family and he owns "R entertainment agency". Some of his artist is an endorser of the shopping mall.

"I won't deny that she kinda rude but what she said were all true. She became successful in such a young age compares to other people from her generation and she's really good at her work, maybe that's where her rudeness came from." Mr. Smith said before he drink the wine in his cup.

Mr. Smith owns a broadcasting station. That's the reason why Mr. Reynold always make sure to maintain a good relationship to him.

"Being good in business is not enough, it will not always secure and guarantee your position and success that's why you also need connections and maintain a harmonious relation with others. So what if she's great, her attitude sucks. I bet she will not be able to maintain her position for a long period of time." Mr. Reynold complained. He always believed that having a wide-ranged connection is what matters the most that's he always try to please everyone and spend so much money in lobbying high officials and well-known people.

In fact Mr. Reynold is much worst than Stacey, his attitude also sucks but he believed that as long as you didn't show your true colors in public everything is fine. That's why he always claimed to be the good guy.

Mr. Smith didn't bother to continue his conversation with Mr. Reynold, he knows that whatever he says won't matter because Mr. Reynold won't listen to him. In fact Mr. Smith is an upright person, even though he talked with someone like Mr. Reynold, he still makes decision based on facts and what's right and he always consider other people's decision and wasn't a selfish person. That's why he preferred Stacey more than Mr. Reynold. He liked persons that was straight forward, direct to the point, those who were not afraid of showing their true colors in public and those who doesn't rely on others. That's the reason why Stacey left a great impression to him.

After almost one and a half hour of driving they finally arrived in their house. Actually Stacey and Tiffany lived in the same house. Since Stacey doesn't have any relatives anymore and was living alone she decided to let Tiffany stay a her house since they're in the same situation. Also it was more convenient that her secretary was always with her.

"You had a long day Stacey, rest early I'll go now to my room." Tiffany said before heading to her bedroom.

Stacey also head straight to her room. After taking a shower, she laid on her bed. Thinking about how she ended up being the guest speaker made her smile. She can't and won't forget the looks on Jackson's face when he went to find her asking if she can be their guest speaker. Those miserable eyes and pleading face. Nothing is impossible when your desperate. Since Stacey is in demand and well-known, Jackson was willing to do everything to get her approval. She really don't like attending such events but when it came to her knowledge that it was the Cruz family's event she became interested specially when Jackson looked for her asking for her help. Who would have thought that the high and mighty Jackson Cruz can lower himself in front of others.

"Well it's just the beginning, you will have to suffer far more worst than that Jackson," Stacey thought to herself.

After that she fell into a deep slumber.
