Sweet Sixteen

A beautiful young lady was staring at her reflection in the mirror. She was wearing a light make-up matched with her pink cocktail dress and her hair was tied in a messy bun. She was smiling at herself, feeling satisfied with the way she looks. She was so charming, her youthfulness reflects in her eyes.

Her named is Rosie Despi, the only child of Mr. Briant and Mrs. Stefanie Despi who owns the largest shopping mall in the capital, which is the RnD Mall and they are also one of the most influential family and is currently top 3 of the richest family in the capital.

Today is a very special day for her because it is her 16th birthday. Her parents prepared a special birthday party for her. The party is being held in their house since their house is big enough to hold a party. Since it's their daughter's party they decided to invite only their close friends. They know that their daughter won't be able to enjoy her party if many influential person is invited because it will only looks like a business gathering and not a birthday party. It's their daughter's birthday so they want to give the spotlight to her today and enjoy this moment together with her friends.

Inside the venue, everything is ready, almost all of their guest already arrived and the party will soon start. Lienne, Rosie's bestfriend went to her room to pick her up since the party will start in a minute.

"Rosie are you ready?" Lienne asked as she knocked on the door.

"Yes I'm ready, I'll go out now", Rosie said before going out of her room.

The moment she step out of her room Lienne smiled at her and complimented her.

"You look stunning Rosie, if I don't personally know you I will thought that your a grown up a girl and not a naughty."

Rosie laugh, indeed she is a very playful and naughty kid, she likes to joke around and mess with her friends.

"You look extra gorgeous today", Rosie complimented her back.

"I know right, but as always I'm gorgeous." Lienne said then laugh.

It's true Lienne is beautiful and sexy but if you will look closely Rosie is prettier than her but Rosie is like a kid. Aside from that she was always simple in terms of dressing up and in her looks. But Lienne is different she always wore make up and sexy clothes that's why she looks more like a grown up girl compared to Rosie or some girls of the same age as her.

After their small talk they headed straight to the main hall where the event is located. Rosie's parents seemed to be waiting for her. It was only her 16th birthday but it looks like she's celebrating her 18th birthday already. Since Rosie's parents love her so much they were willing to give everything to their daughter and let her live her life to the fullest.

"Good evening uncle and auntie", Lienne greeted them.

"Good evening Lienne, as always you look gorgeous." Mrs. Despi said as she greeted Lienne.

"Thank you for the compliment auntie, I'll leave Rosie to you, for now I'll go first in our table." Lienne said.

"Sure go ahead, don't worry I will let Rosie spend time with you guys after a little while." Mrs. Despi said with a smile.

After that Lienne went to the table where their other friends were waiting.

Mr. Despi on the other hand give a sign to the host of the event to start the party.

"Ladies and gentlemen Good Evening, first I would like to greet our birthday celebrant Ms. Rosie a happy happy birthday and now may we call on the star of the night together with her parents, Ms. Rosie Despi. Let's all welcome her on stage."

After that loud cheers and greetings can be heard. After they arrived at the center of the stage, Rosie start to gave her speech.

"Hi everyone, first of all I would like to thank you for attending my birthday party today. I know many of you are busy but you still make time for this so I really appreciate it. I would also like to thanked my parents for this event, thank you for being my parents I'm so lucky to have you. Also thank you my dear friends for coming today, to my bestfriend Lienne thank you for everything, to the organizer of this event and to all my families. I love you guys. I hope you will be able to enjoy this night, eat a lot and have fun. We must live to the fullest since we only lived once. Again thank you and enjoy."

As expected Rosie ended her speech with her favorite line which is to lived life to the fullest since we only lived once.

After that she hug her parents then went straight to her friends table. As she approaches they greet her one after another.

After an hour passed where they finished eating, Rosie's eyes fell on a tall and handsome man. Her eyes were fixed on him for quiet a long time.

"Hey Rosie where are you looking at?" Lienne asked when she noticed Rosie staring at something or someone.

"Lienne, I think I found my man", Rosie said not even bothering to look at her.

"Who are you talking about? You just turned 16 today and you already think of being in love or whatsoever." Lienne were curious so she followed the direction where Rosie was looking.

Indeed he is a very handsome man but he look like he's a lot older than them. And it seems like Rosie's parents and the guy know each other.

"You know you look like your hypnotized, you didn't even bother looking at me while I'm talking to you. Don't stare at him for too long or he might melt because of your gazed. Why don't you just ask your parents his name since it looks like they know each other." Lienne said.

Hearing what she just said, she immediately look at Lienne and ask, "Why would I ask my parents about him?"

"Your looking at him for a long time and you didn't even noticed that he's talking with your parents?" Lienne can't help but sighed resignedly.

While processing every word that Lienne had just said, Rosie rounded her eyes with shock, for the whole time that she's looking at that man she didn't even notice that. The only thing she can think during that moment is how handsome the man is.

Thinking that her parents may know the identity of the man, Rosie felt very happy and decided to look at him again. What shocked her is that when she turn her head to look at him again, he was already looking at her.

"Oh what's this did he noticed that I've been staring at him from a long time? Have I been caught?" These thoughts keep appearing on Rosie's head and her heart beats so fast that she felt like it will jump out from her chest.
