My life sucks, one day I was going to work, and the other I have a bullet in my head.
Why? no reason I didn't have any enemies I was aware of nor did I lived in a bad neighborhood, the point is I died.
As my life slipped by my fingers, I couldn't help but chuckle a little in my head, the whole world had built up an idea about what death was, many were fantastic but in reality, it was like someone was closing the curtains, you don't see anything but the light slowly fading away from you.
The only thing I could think of was, how anticlimatic.
But I guess I could say it surprised me what happened next, while I was sure my body faded, my consciousness was still alive, I felt like a brain in a jar metaphorically speaking, I could think and even imagine stuff but I couldn't feel or see anything at all.
Time was irrelevant, I figured that out the first few minutes in this world, time just goes by and feels both fast and slow, its truly a wonder.
"Well that's an interesting output of this realm," A voice said, clearly amused by my thoughts.
'Who are you, and more importantly where am I?' I thought, normally I didn't like talking to people, I found most to be annoying and stupid, but I guess I never considered I could be truly alone.
"I'm no one, and this place is nowhere," The voice answered with a chuckle, "Dont think too hard on that, things are just how they are and we can't change them, at least I can't"
No one and nowhere, well that doesn't help me at all, but then again what could I do knowing the name of the place and his name, 'So what now?'
"Huh, that the hard question isn't it?" The voice said, "You could live again, or you could rest in peace forever,"
Rest in peace, or get a second chance, the answer was obvious, I wasn't contempt with laying in the darkness forever, I rather live a crappy life, 'I would love option A,'
"Marvellous," The voice said, and after a few seconds of silence.
"I can see..." I had a body once again, the first thing I laid my eyes on was the voice, it was truly terrifying, it was a fearsome beast with a gruesome appearance, it had long limbs and decayed skin, without hair, at the end of his fingers, there were some sharp claws, sharp enough to tear a person apart with a single touch, I could tell. His mouth was filled with sharp, needle-like teeth that were stained in a disgusting shade of yellow, it reminded me of a shark, but more dangerous. The stench of his breath was overwhelming and filled with death and corruption, his tongue was white resalting on his mouth covered in blood, and last but not least his eyes were much larger than the average human, and they glowed on a dim red.
"Thank you for the body, now what?" It took me a minute to regain myself, what could I possibly do in this situation.
"Huh, it's impressive really, I can smell your fear and yet... you are keeping your calm demeanor," The monsters chuckled, "It's not often I find humans with such strong will, but is refreshing."
"I'm glad you are pleased with my behavior, but I think it's time to wrap things up," I was scared, yes. But being afraid didn't make me an idiot if he had the power to give me a body it was clear he could kill me just as easily, but he didn't want to kill me, at least not now.
"So pushy, oh well, let's get to it," The monster snapped his fingers, making a wheel of fortune appear out of nowhere, "Your fortune starts here boy, go ahead and see what it awaits you."
He didn't move from the roulette, he was testing me, he could read my mind so he should know, this type of approach won't work, but I guess I'll play his game, so nodding my head, I approached the wheel, looking him straight in the eyes.
"So, any specific instructions I should know?" I asked him, his face a few inches away from mine.
"Heh, for someone so smart, you ask pretty stupid questions..." The monster chuckled.
So like a normal wheel of fortune it is, I didn't understand the language in the prices, so rooting for one of them was out of the question, the wheel kept on running for a few seconds until it stopped on a blue colored tile.
"Alright! two more boy!" The monsters patted me on the back, "You have your first price ready and wrap up!"
I did as I was told, spinning the wheel once again, this time it stopped on a red-colored tile, once it did I turned to see him wanting confirmation to spin the wheel again, my last unknown price was on a black tile, I wonder if I actually won something.
"My turn!" The demon said spinning the wheel with a wicked smile, "That one will decide where are you going and other minor details like gender, age and if you get to keep your memories or not."
I could lose my memories, that could prove to be a problem on the long run, I could deal with my gender being different, what I had on my pants wouldn't really affect my survival rate on the long run, but my memories could alter my entire perspective of things and change who I am.
Once the wheel stopped the demon sighed in disappointment, "Arent you a fucking lucky one,"
"I would probably concur with you if I knew what I won." I wanted to know, how can I use something if I don't know what it is or where it is, or what it does.
"Huh, well there is no harm in telling you," The demon chuckled, "For the first price you won, this."

"Black clover, I remember that," Was I going to that world?
"For the second price, you won,"

"Interesting," As cliche as it sounds, this would be most beneficial, I read enough novels to have a general idea of what it does.
"And for the last one, Nah that one needs to be a secret so you know how fucked you are," The demon laughed.
Two out of three, I could deal with not knowing the last one, for now.
"And my spin... well here is where you go lucky, you got to keep your gender, your memory and you won't have to be a baby... seven years old, the world is also a secret... and when timeline-wise are you going to be there... that's another surprise," The demon smiled, "Just a tip, you might die as soon as you get there, and our encounter will be less pleasant,"
"Understood," I nodded, at least now I knew my new life was in danger.
"With that stoic face and demeanor, you'll feel just right home with those guys," The demon said, snapping his fingers, making my body face away into this new opportunity.
