Under the Rain

The entire night sky was hidden by tumultuous dark clouds that poured heavily—he travelled through the forest, navigating through wooden trees and brambles without pause. And he was sure that it showed in his appearance. From the top of his head to the sole of his feet, he was drenched and shivering while he felt numerous leaves and branches sticking to his clothes and skin. The coldness was unnatural and it chilled his bones. It had already been hours, several hours since he had last seen her when he didn't even notice the young woman disappearing from his presence.
