Chapter 4

"O-Owen?" I'd sputtered.

He'd looked up from the girl's hand.

His eyes were filled with surprise and... guilt.

I'd looked at Mom.

She'd was covering her mouth with her hands, in shock.

"You are a vampire?!" I'd yelled, it sounded more like a statement than a question.

"Oh my God." Mom said as she'd sank into the ground.

Owen then let go of the girl and ran.

"W-wait!" I'd called after him but he was a already gone.

Then memories came to my mind.

The night of his parents death.

The red spot on his face.

His pointy tooth.

The girl who died in his school as soon as Owen started going there.

It all made sense.

My legs were starting to give out so I'd slumped next to Mom.

Tears were rolling down her cheeks.

"I-I just can't believe the Owen is... a... VAMPIRE!" Mom sobbed.

I'd sighed.

I'd then looked at the girl.

I'd went towards her to find any pulse or heartbeat.

She was still alive.

"Mom!" I'd shouted. "She's alive I have to call and ambulance." I took out my phone and called 911.

A few minutes later, the ambulance came and took her away.

"I hope she's okay." I'd mumbled.

"Where did Owen go?" Mom asked, worriedly.

"I don't know." I replied. "We should go home its dark out here."

"But Owen is still out there!" Mom protested.

"We just can't leave him there."

"Oh yeah, then do you want him to drink our blood because he is a vampire?" I'd snapped.

"And would you like me to remind you that he also killed his own parents!"

"But he is still our family!" Mom shouted back.

"And so young."

"Yeah young enough to kill his own parents and the girl in his school, and the girl who just got sent to the hospital." I'd mentioned, irritated.

"How can you do this to him?!" Mom demanded.

"Well, do you want to die or something?" I'd snapped.

"He won't kill us!" Mom snapped back.

I'd rolled my eyes, and instead of arguing further, I'd stomped home.

When I'd walked in a heard some noises. I'd flinched.

I'd then breathed a sigh of relief. I'd left left the TV on before going outside.

I'd was about to turn it off when I'd heard the tail of the news reporter's conversation.

"Scientist are still testing this mysterious jewel." She'd explained.

I'd looked at the jewel that was showing in the TV screen where two men were holding this shiny, big, jewel.

What could it possibly mean?
