Ch.23 The Heavens

I walked forward toward the stone, Anyira followed, we placed our hands on the stone. The blue that was shining started to glow brighter, it soon hallowed us. Now surrounded by pure light, we began to see shapes of broken structures and statues.

I looked over at Anyira her face faded from happy to fear and worry. As the blinding light faded from around us I looked around to see that destruction had already came to the Heavens. I heard a thud, it was Anyira, she had collapsed to the ground crying.

"My mother told me it before she died." she said as she wiped the tears our of her eyes.

"Let's go." I said snapping to draw my sword and started toward the ruined village.

Anyira followed catching up to me and soon passing me, she seemed frantic. As we neared a destroyed structure Anyira began to cry again.

"Zyan! Kaidence?" she repeated in a panicked tone.
