A new teacher

"Now that we have that out of the way, I have asked the troops to send in their best soldier to help you train." Jefferson said.

"Ah! Hold on a second, Eve!" My father, the king, called out. He opened up a drawer, and pulled out a necklace. "This is the last thing I have of your mother." He said as he put it around my neck.

As Jefferson lead me to the garden, he went on and on about how he conquered the quests my father set for him. "So, if you loved it so much, why did you stop?" I asked. He stopped right before hitting a tree with his blade. "Well, I stopped because your father fell ill, and as his best friend, and general, I couldn't leave him on his own." He had a look of sincerity in his eyes, but I feel like there is more to what he said.

A tear started to form on his right eye. He must have noticed because he had quickly turned straight ahead and pointed. "Oh, look! There's your new teacher!" He yelled so loudly, the soldier quickly turned to us, and bowed. "Now Ash, there's no need for that! Come on boy, take off that silly helmet and greet the princess correctly!"
