191 - End of the End 1

"You guys ready?"

"Yeah, though I gotta say. You look kind of pale... Even if you regain your good locks. " (Iyori)

"Iyaa~ you're making me blush. This is the body of another Emily who reincarnated as a demon. If I remember correctly it was mix between a vampire and a succ-"

"Who knows if this is necessary or not, but I'll teleport us there with 'envy' to preserve your energy." (Houzo)

"Right let's go."

Saying so, a white line materialised, glowing off the ground before extending into the sky. Forming a pillar of light that gently wrapped around us before escaping off into the atmosphere, we prepared our psyches to take up the absurd amount of stress. We would know how annoying Zet could be, all 3 of us had fought him before. Well now, Amelia was here, making it 4. We had 5 at first... But now we had to proceed. Their sacrifices were definitely in vain, seeing as they were able to make better use of these skills I inherited.

"Amelia, transform into divine armament form." I couldn't let anyone down any longer. I have to go all out. I received the blessings of my mother, it didn't particularly affect the battle at all, however it was necessary for this arduous task. If I left any regrets, it would only pull me down.

"Roger, master" (Amelia)

Her silvery dress fluttered into the air as the armour plates above her skirt turn into light before vanishing. The rest of her body glowed into a bright light before her whole being vanished as vertical chunks cut cleanly, flew into the air and ground before dematerialising. In my hand was an abnormally comfortable grip that had sufficient friction and smoothness that were balanced beyond perfection. Most likely a side effect of Amelia's mental corruption. As jt materialised, it asserted a rather light weight over my palm. The hilt only measured for one index finger and... That was all that appeared.

The blade part was much like a thin thread that could alter the length at my will and cut anything in half, regardless of any resistances, packing a force to be reckoned with when combined with its near undectable width. Magical, physical, spiritual, curses, divine protections, health draining, healing, boosting, in essence it was the same type of attack as [War]'s all attribute orb attack. Gripping the handle with an experienced touch, the blade was manipulated with a light wave. In a way, it was more akin to a whip, it was just a really... Sharp whip that could grow, shrink and split to the point it ignored logic.

Transforming in the instant we teleported, amelia sat on my grip with an expectant aura. Air itself was flowing away from her, creating a miniscule vacuum that acted as a blade that could cut space itself. Small glimmers shone in the air, an occasional whistling sound echoing in the background.

I myself couldn't contain my anxiety, we were finally at the last step after all. I could feel my heart palpitations in my throat and my stomach stirring chaoticly. Every muscle tensed with pressure, ears and cheeks acting up. I was the supposed leader though? What would they do if their commander got stage fright? Would they abandon me and defect to Zet?...

...Nah they wouldn't, it had already happened once with Zet's mind control. It was futile to control them and oppose me. Most of all, they have their own resolve to rely on. We all have our reasons to come here, it may be the same, different, well it didn't matter at this point. Slapping my cheek with both palms, shockwaves flew out as my skin grew to a bright blush. I could not afford to lose concentration now. It was time to fight.

Seeing the self encouragement, smiles crept onto Iyori's and Houzo's lips. It was a surreal sight for the old man to show an expression, perhaps he had been feeling anxious as well. It was worth it though, putting on this 2-second show. Now, we were all ready for it.

A greyish outline appeared in the horizon of pure white. Nothing but white occupied the background and skies except for Amelia's blade, he could make us lost in here and we would lose without Houzo's skill to help us escape. I doubt he would try such a tactic considering its low probability of success, however you can't be too sure. The greyish outline stepped nearer, in a couple steps the distance had been closed. A few seconds in and his omnipotence had been barred in front of our eyes.

In the end, I can not back down now. Too much rode on this battle, the fate of the world, Fez's will, everyone else's wishes, they all rested right on my, exerting a weight like no other. One such that even my absurd strength stat could ever hope to lift.

A gap opened on part of the grewish outline that resided somewhere near the top, revealing a gaping abyss. It was just his mouth.

"Yo~! How long has it been? I hope you've been doing well~" (Zet)

"I'm here to keep the promise, you are perfectly capable of understanding that right?"

".... I could never be more excited..." (Zet)

Setting a step back, my body immediately shifted a few kilometres before I swung my new sword. Pouring power into Amelia, my thoughts were read as she executed my commands to an excellent degree. Taking a few swings, the blade shifted and flowed like a kilometre long snake, a battle akin to the one with "other Emily" recurred. The thread like blade of Amelia shot forward like a bullet, leaving a dangerous thread behind to injure others. Leaving a path of [Death], Amelia coiled around and splitted into many branches, forming a cobweb like structure.

"Die."

"..." (Zet)

As if on command, numerous blades of [Externals Amelia] flew at Zet from every possible situation. As Amelia was also a god, though one in a slightly lower ranking, it was still extremely difficult for him to break her blade. She wouldn't let herself be broken so easily as well, if deemed necessary, she would either dodge or cushion the enemy's attack with a barrier. Without response, he vanished before the blade penetrated his earlier position. It seemed as if he had teleported, urging Houzo to go on his work and beat him down. Teleporting in, a fist materialised through his stomach.

There was no teleportation at all. Zet had simply been faster than even me, and he impaled Houzo as he teleported. He had moved faster than an instant, the shortest unit of time. If questioned, I could only guess it was a form of future sight. Fortunately such an injury was just a trivial cut relative to our calibre. Using 'wrath', I rewound the time of his impalement back to when it was perfectly normal. Some blood had still remained in his throat, spitting it out, Houzo retreated back to our starting point.

At this point, there would be no end to this battle. We have to end it now.

"[Eternal fantasy]. I had been going easy the whole of last time, methods to kill you will always exist. If you are not going to defeat me, I'll do you in first. So make sure to watch out. Okay~?" (Zet)

His decently deep voice that sounded like a young adult hadn't fit the tone of his speech. A side effect of having stayed here for a long time perhaps. The air blurred as the scenery changed.
