"Is she okay?" Blake questioned the lady who had just walked out of the room. She was dressed in a simple white blouse which was paired with black pencil trousers. A stethoscope was hanging around her neck as if it was a piece of jewellery. For her, it was.

Blake had to call a female doctor to check on the girl as he didn't think it would be appropriate to get her checked by their usual doctor for he was a man. There were chances of her having multiple internal and external injuries, and it would be better for a female doctor to check on her.

"She's doing fine. Her body is a little dehydrated, so I have put her on an IV of normal saline. She will be up sooner or later. Just forget to make sure that she eats well and drinks enough water." The lady smiled as she replied to him.

"And she's sleeping now. The shock took a toll on her frail body. She will get up on her own once her body and mind have had enough rest." She added.

"What about injuries? Anything which needs to be treated in a hospital?" Blake questioned her once again.

"There's nothing that serious. It's just a couple of bruises on her wrist which resulted from a strong grip." She replied to her. She was about to continue when the door behind him flew open and her assistant walked out with a briefcase in her hand.

"I have made sure that the IV is working properly and the needle is fixed in its place. Hopefully, it won't stick out if she moves in her sleep." The assistant spoke up in a polite tone. She seemed pretty young in comparison to the doctor, and was more or less likely to be a trainee.

"What if it does?" Blake spoke up in a worried tone even though her words were directed towards the doctor.

"It won't. If it does, you can just call me, Mr. Blake. I will come right away and make sure that she's fine." She replied to him politely. There was a faint blush gracing her cheeks as she looked straight in his dark brown orbs.

"Thank you. I will make sure that my driver stays near to your place even after dropping you off, so that he can bring you over if anything goes wrong." Blake nodded his head as he muttered out his gratitude.

"That will be fine." The assistant gave him a nod in return.

"I'll take my leave then, Blake." The doctor interrupted them before the conversation could proceed any further. "I will be thankful to you if you can ask one of your drivers to drop her off at her place. I would have done it so, but it's already late. My husband must be waiting for me to return back home along with my children." She requested only to get a nod in response.

"Convey my thanks to him as well. He did let you come here." Blake added after agreeing to her request.

Her husband was actually the doctor Blake and his men consulted whenever they end up with injuries. He would have been the one to be called by Blake instead of the lady if it was one of his men or himself who needed to be checked.

"And thank you for coming over, Mrs. Jackson." He added only to get a helpless shake of head.

"Your family has always helped us in times of need, so it's really fine. And you don't have to worry about her. I have made her sign an NDA already. No one will get to know about the location of the place from her mouth." She mumbled while pointing her chin in her assistant's direction.

Blake nodded his head before his eyes trailed to the girl who was standing in the same spot with her head bowed down.

"I will see you out." He offered only to be turned down by the lady.

"There's no need for that. I know my way around the place. You just make sure that someone drops her off." She shook her head before taking her briefcase from the girl. "Don't cause any trouble for him, and remember what I told you earlier." She added in a low voice. Her words seemed like a warning to Blake, but he decided to turn a blind eye to the matter as it had nothing to do with him.

"Yes, Ma'am." The girl meekly replied while bobbing her head up and down.

Blake watched the lady disappear from his line of sight as she walked out of the corridor. Since they were on the first floor, he wasn't worried about her getting lost on her way out. The things which needed to stay hidden from a normal person's eyes were deep in the underground levels.

"Thank you." The silence engulfing the surroundings was interrupted by the girl's voice.

"For what?" Blake threw a questioning gaze in her direction.

"For dropping me off later." She clarified her words. "I mean it will be hard for me to find a ride at this ho-"

"I won't be dropping you off, so you can save your thanks for my driver." Blake cut her off. He had to accept that the girl was indeed beautiful, but he was in no mood to respond to her advances at the moment.

"Oh!" The girl diverted her gaze. "I meant that it will be because of you. So, thank you. I will thank the driver too." She added.

"Alright." Blake heaved out a tired sigh. He should have known better than to act rude before the girl she had. After all she had helped the doctor in making sure that the girl in there was fine.

He was about to apologize to her, but the sound of steps coming from the other end of the corridor stopped him. He turned his head to his right to find one of his men walking towards him. His steps came to a stop at a distance.

Blake figured out that he was supposed to drive her home and was probably sent by Jeffery.

"He will take you home." He turned his head towards the girl and muttered out. Without waiting for her reply, he walked past her and into the room where the girl he had rescued was resting.
