As You Wish

"Why are you so quiet?"

Her question only added more lines on his smooth forehead. He once again scratched the back of his head as he tried to come up with a reason which would not sound too made-up, or just an excuse.

"Well, you see." He cleared his throat and started. "It won't be fair to the girls if they are asked to fight these huge men. So, we have a separate room for them with their own ring." He let out a long sigh of relief internally when he saw Lillian bobbing her head up and down. To him it looked like she was buying his every word.

"So where is this room?" She asked him as she looked straight into his eyes.

"Just next to it." Blake replied as he offered her. "I can take you there as well, but there is one thing. I won't be able to accompany you inside."

"Why is that?" She blinked her eyes a couple of times as confusion clouded her green orbs.

"That room is specifically for women. I am a man, so..." He trailed off, leaving the rest for her to figure out.

As Lillian added two and two together, she bobbed her head up and down. "It's fine then. You can show me other rooms. I will see that one sometime later." She added as she passed him a smile. She didn't consider going on her own in a room full of strangers any good. Moreover, she couldn't leave Blake behind as he was the one who was showing her around.

"Are you sure? I can get someone to accompany you inside if you want to see." As if reading what was going inside that flustered mind of hers, he spoke up, offering her someone else's assistance only to get turned down by her once again.

"Thank you, but it's really fine. You can show me the rest of the rooms for now." Lillian shook her head, declining his offer. Leaving him behind on his own was something she found really impolite. Since he was being a good host, she found it necessary to act like a good, less troubling guest. At least until her guest status was taken away.

"As you wish." Blake muttered under his breath before he guided her outside.

After showing her a couple of rooms which were meant for some basic body training and were shared by both men and women, Blake brought her to his favorite room. The room which was for firearms of all kinds.

As soon as the two of them stepped inside, Lillian was left bewildered. Her eyes wandered over the huge wall which had every single kind of firearm on display. The rustic gray background only added to the beauty of the guns themselves, making their polished surfaces shine.

"Damn!" That was all what left her lips as she stared at the wide array of guns with her jaw hanging low.

"I think you can tell why this room is my most favorite one." Blake interrupted her awe stricken state, pulling her attention back to himself.

Lillian tore her gaze away from the captivating scene before her, and gave him a nod. She wondered why she was so enchanted by the massive display of ammunition instead of being scared of it.

"Wait until you see the rest of the room." He muttered after seeing her all excited and curious.

His words left Lillian more than confused as she stared around the room. Unlike the other rooms they had been in, this one wasn't occupying much space. Oddly enough, it looked more like a wide alley with its one wall displaying a wide variety of guns from top to bottom. The other wall had nothing on except for the dusky wallpaper which was plastered over it.

"There's nothing else in here." She spoke up, bringing her eyes back to him. She had a small frown sitting in between her eyebrows.

"Are you sure?" Blake gave him a lop-sided grin as he walked back to the door which they had taken in. But instead of walking outside, he pressed his right palm on a screen which was located next to the doorway.

Lillian had barely paid any attention to it when they had walked inside. To her it seemed nothing more than a panel to control the intensity of the lights in the room. She had seen a couple of them on her way down to the training grounds and in rooms where Blake had taken her.

What she didn't know was that all of those screens served an important purpose other than just controlling the lights of the rooms and hallways.

"What are you doing?" Her question was answered right away as a red light scanned his palm. Soon the red beam of light was replaced by a green one as Blake took his hand back.

"What was that…" The rest of her words died at the back of her throat as the plain wall started to move. It split into two from the center and then started to part, slowly revealing what was on the other side.

Lillian took a step forward cautiously as her eyes stared straight ahead at the glass wall, which was hidden from her sight earlier. What intrigued her more was not the glass wall, but what was on its other side.

"Apart from the gun collection, I like this room because it lets me do this." Blake spoke up after seeing that she was not going to.

"What's that room for?" Lillian finally managed to speak up. All she could see was an empty room which had a couple of rows.

"What does it look like it is for?" Blake walked closer to her and asked her as he pointed towards the rows on the other end of which a series of targets were lined.

The realization slowly hit Lillian as her eyes focused on the targets. "Oh!" She trailed her eyes back to Blake and gave him an awkward smile as she berated herself internally for being so stupid.
