The Start Of Something Formidable (1)

[One week later.]

A head full of silky, black hair was hanging out of the corridor, sneakily trying to look for a clear path. The pair of squinted eyes searched as far as they could to look for their owner's apparent enemy.

There was a slight hint of desperation mixed with the deep green swirls in them—the desperation of finding a way out without getting caught.

"I don't see him around." She mumbled under her breath as she took a step forward. A sigh of relief followed her words. "Thank God." She took another cautious step forward.

But the poor girl had no clue that she would be asked to swallow back her own words soon enough. It was the cough which resonated behind her as soon as she stepped out of the corridor.

'I am so doomed.' She cursed herself internally without looking behind her. She already had a fair idea who it was.
