Minotaur

Haikai walks down the empty street flexing his fingers as he feels newfound strength flow through his body. He takes off running and starts jumping from car to car laughing, he keeps running and jumping shattering windshields. He stops to catch his breath and looks back, in just a few minutes he had cleared about a mile. He suddenly hears a tear in the wind and turns and moves his head just in time as three sharp talons barely graze his face, he draws his dagger and slices. At his feel drops what looks like a very large crow cut in half, he raises his hand to his face and wipes off a bit of blood "the hell was that". It's so dark it's almost purple, almost a foot and a half with four-inch claws, he suddenly hears *Caw! Caw! Caw!* he looks up as a black swarm starts to dive-bomb him "AH SHI...". He takes off running to the nearest building but its too far away, he feels talons slice above him as he runs, he turns and slices as many as he can the keeps running, he runs into a warehouse and shuts the door hearing hundreds hit it. He knows it won't hold long so he starts looking for a way to escape, the warehouse is dark and dingy, the air smell stale like it's not properly ventilated, with the only light coming through a few large windows. It's a big open floor with a large catwalk outlining the walls, he started looking around and saw these large barrels or oil and other types of fuel and had an idea. He starts knocking them over causing noxious fumes to feel the warehouse and climbs up to the top by a window, as the door breaks he waits for them to fly in and drops the match. He quickly jumps out of the window as the barrels start to ignite and explode, he hears the birds scrambling to leave and many cries of agony, the ones who do escape fly past him and he picks off a few off but most fly away. {Level 2 achieved} {Level 3 achieved} XP 500 *Upgrades available* {Haikai- Class: Undetermined Level: 3 Strength: 2. "Hmmm I wonder" he takes off running and starts to scale the surrounded building jumping from roof to roof, he makes a large jump off a building while laughing *smack*. He wakes with his head pounding "what happened" as his eyes clear he starts to look around and move but feels his movements restricted, he's cocooned in chains hanging upside down in some building. He hears large thumps like footsteps behind him and smells farm animals, the steps get closer and go around to the front of him. In front of him is an eight-foot-tall Minitaur, its chest as wide as two large people, large sharp horns jut from its head, its large eyes are coal-black and look full of hate. He walks closer and looks Haikai in the eyes snorts at him, he watches as the ring in his nose flares and slings snot on Haikai's face, Haikai spits in its face. The large beast seems to almost smile as it walks and leaves Haikai alone, he struggles in his bonds trying to figure an escape, as he looks at the beast walking away he notices his knife is on its waist. Once the monster left Haikai had an idea, he activated his system and looked upgrades he could buy, he looked though multiple different ones, he could upgrade things such as strengths or resistances or abilities all around, for some reason the one for his appearance was grey out. He looked and saw he could buy spells, he saw a weak ice spell unlocked that cost 300 XP, he selected it and saw his XP counter going down and heard a cliche cash register sound. He felt mana run through his veins and his palm get warm, he had enough room to turn his palms outward and he poured more mana. The chains became cold and brittle, he flexed his arms and the chains and fell to the floor. His fall echoed through the empty building, he heard the loud thumps return. He was face to face with the monster, it charged at him and he quickly side-stepped. The minotaur crashed into the wall behind him, he shook his head back and forth and turned to charge again. Haikai slid under it and shot ice between its legs, causing it to fall and slam chin first on the ground. Haikai laughs as it tries to stand up in a daze but flop around on the ice, Haikai walked cockeyed over and tried to grab his knife but the minotaur got enough of a hold to place a kick on his chest. Haikai felt all the breath in his body shoot out with a bit of blood as he slammed into the wall. He staggered up to his feet with one arm over his chest, he charges forward and the minotaur bats him away again. He summons up all his strength and locks with the minotaur, each has their hands on the other shoulders. Haikai is struggling till he summons mana to his feet and slows him down, the only thing keeping him alive is reaction speed. With each move, his opponents make he can apply a bit of counter-reaction. They are in stalemate neither budging an inch, Haikai feels a warm trickle from his forehead as blood vessels break from the strain. In a last-ditch effort, he uses the last bit of mana in him to freeze its shoulders. He grabs and rips down and with a sickening crunch, blood and ice fly through the air, the minotaur collapses to his knees, Haikia retrieved his knife and stabs it through the throat. With this the battle is over, the minotaur lies in a pool of blood, he looks out the window and sees the setting sun,{Level 6 achieved} XP 1000 *Upgrades available* *Weapon upgrade available* {Haikai- Class: Undetermined: 5 Strength: 6. He feels tired as he slowly collapses to the ground, he hears what sounds like people, the last thing he sees is a woman's face "What are you?". Then he blacks out...
