SARAHIAH WANTED SOME ALONE TIME

SARAHIAH WANTED SOME ALONE TIME

While driving, Antonio whispers his prayer on his way to the hospital, when he felt this chilliness and he began to cold sweat.

Blocking his mind not wanting to think that something bad was going to happen, knowing they had started this new course of medication on her Sunday. The doctor said it was showing signs of improvement, 'Oh Lord, please don't let anything happen to her until we conclude this marriage with Sarah.'

Antonio entered the ward, he noticed immediately that her bed was empty, feeling his knees weaken but he took some deep breaths trying to think positive. 'They must have needed Sarah to go with her for the test they were talking about, Monday, so she must be feeling better today.'

Trying to recall if they said anything yesterday when the Doctor did his rounds. But nothing comes to mind, I am sure I heard nothing about any test, that could only mean she is responding well to the new treatment.'

When the nurse came, Antonio quickly inquired, "Excuse me nurse, have they taken my wife for the tests the Doctor was speaking about Monday?"

"Your wife sir?" He observed how she looks around.

"Yes, she was on this bed, Mrs. Moriah Steelton."

"Come sit down Sir, you are not looking so well," the nurse guided him to a seat and then placed a glass of water in his hand, "Drink this, then I will take your pressure. Do you have someone I could call to come and get you?"

"My daughter, she came to see her mother when the doctor called earlier today."

"Oh, you mean Sarahiah?"

"Yes, was she here earlier to go with her mother to get the test done?"

"Yes, yes, she came to take up her mother's few things."

The nurse noticed his smile, and then he said, "Did she get discharged?"

"You just sit here and relax, I will give Sarahiah a call," she noticed the smile as she returned to his side, "Let me take your pressure now."

She watched him close his eyes while his lips were moving, "Now, I want you to drink this tablet and Sarahiah will be here anytime now."

He had been constantly asking for Sarahiah, until he finally asked, "Where is my wife, she wasn't well yesterday so how could they discharge her?"

"Sir, I have some bad news for you, your wife passed away at half nine this morning."

She heard him cry out as his head dropped, she thinks, 'Thank God her was sitting or he might have fallen.' Looking at him on the chair heartbroken, when Sarahiah came, she watched how Sarahiah hugged him, "Dad, please, you have to be strong, where is your car parked?"

The nurse observed how Sarahiah looks at her, with such disdain, and she knew immediately she was angry and displeased with her for saying anything to her father. But he was beginning to get frantic, and his pressure was already one fifty-five over eighty-seven.

THE LUNCHEON WAS CANCELLED

Saying sorry to Sarahiah before she left, but she was glad when Sarahiah urged him to move, "Dad, I have so many things to do, so come on let me take you home, you need to rest."

Unable to handle him alone, Sarahiah called Jerod to meet her at the hospital. As she took her dad home with her car, Jerod drove their dad's car home, and then she went to the funeral home to finalise all the necessary arrangements.

With Jerod and Matt home with dad, she knew she had to do everything else. Joshua and Darius are still at work so they will only be home tomorrow.

Sarahiah didn't delay, she arranged the funeral for Thursday. She also knew time was running out on her to have all she needed to move forward with her plans. Mom's death has thrown her back a few days but Sarah knew she will have to work overtime to have things running as in the contract. I only hope dad will hold back his plans of this façade of marriage.'

Sarahiah made her decision quickly, with the funeral being the Thursday she kept her focus.

Saturday morning bright and early, Jerod sent a note to the Christian family to cancel all arrangements because of their mom's death.

Jerod was unable to believe it when Sarahiah told him she wanted to be alone, just for a few days he thought at a time like this we will be together to support each other. Right before she went to her car she said, "The four of you will have to keep dad for a few days."

Jerod knew she love mom very much, wondering if this is hard for her to digest.  "What are you going to do Sarah?" Jerod asked becoming worried, she looks so grieve stricken.

"I need to be alone for a few days, Jerod that is all I am asking. I know the four of you will look after dad well until I return."

Jerod hugged her, "Sweetie, now is not the time to be alone, come home with us and stay a few days."

"Sorry, I have to do some thinking, and I need some alone time."

Monday, after Caleb finished work, he went to the mall entrance, hoping will all his heart that he could get a glimpse of her. He was so happy that the arrangement his dad was making has fallen through and one of the stores has been sold.  Now all he keeps praying and hoping for is to get a glimpse of her.

The time just passed and when her friends passed along with the gentleman, she wasn't with them.

He had waited the entire week hoping to meet her, but she was never with her friends, 'Oh Lord, has she left her work or is she on vacation? How will I know what is going on with her?'
