CALEB PRAY

Taking his time driving home, only to see a roadblock ahead, nearing his street he saw they were diverting the traffic to the other street.

Wondering what was going on, the police was checking inside every vehicle, their tires, and their trunk.  Winding down his glass, then he reached inside the pocket for the insurance. Taking out his driving permit from his wallet and resting it aside together with the van insurance, he drove up slowly.

Seeing Jerod approaching his vehicle, Caleb held out both documents before  Jerod ask. As he took his permit and insurance, the other officer checked around the vehicle.

"Has something happened in the other street?"

Right before he had to drive out, he heard Jerod say, "There was a small accident."

Driving away thinking, 'A small accident wouldn't cause them to divert the traffic to another street. Well never mind, they are not my friends, so I don't expect him to divulge any information.'

Driving along slowly with the pile-up that had to pass through Glendor Street, then cut back to Stella Street. Continuing in the main stretch, reaching the street where the BMW entered, he drove in, but the house was in dark. "It doesn't seem like it has anyone home.

Caleb then recalls that her father was unwell, is he in the hospital, slowing down a bit hoping if she was home she will lookout. Wondering if he lingers around a little she might  return home. Looking as the time go it was already after seven, then he thought if someone sees him and call her being alone in the house she might delay thinking someone watching the house.

Feeling this rage boiling inside he whispered, "Why do I have this urge to see who the sister is? and from meeting the boys and hearing them saying, Sarah. The girl at the store said her name is Sarahiah, and she hasn't contacted her friends.

This is madness I have waited the entire day to see Sarahiah, and all attempts to see the young lady were a failure, but why is this disappointment so overwhelming me? I so wanted to see if I was missing out on a good opportunity, is that why I had this urging desire to drive this way? Dear God, am I losing my mind?"

The week was hectic having to construct means of finding fast cash. Recalling how the A and S store was arranged, he asked two of the sales clerks to assist him in rearranging the store. Setting up sale tags on some items for a week.

When the new week began, he did the same in the other stores, having to split up his time between the three stores.

Coming to the end of the week, he noticed a boost in sales. The cash was most welcoming with the pressure from the bank. The weekend was an enormous blessing, being able to pay the workers and hold some cash.

He was looking for ways to get out of the hold the others had dug the company into. He changed a few lanes with the sales tag, placing the old stocks, which were drawing customers in weekly.

Time was flying so fast as he was trying to make a go at it, but finally, the business was afloat, and his only concern now was arranging the dowry for Petal's upcoming wedding, that was his only problem now seeing October approaches.

The family said October, but all these months he was struggling to save the stores and used up every bit of cash to offset the debts the stores were owing.

Now October was here, 'Where am I going to get two hundred thousand?'

Resting his head on his desk in his office Caleb knew he needs help but who can he ask?

Recalling Mr. Antonio saying he went to church that Sunday they came. Caleb whispers, "Oh Lord, I am unworthy and I really don't expect You to answer me, but please delay Petal's wedding if You are hearing me until I can accumulate the dowry they required. I am so tired of the last few months trying to save the business and dad's legacy, I just need a little more time."
