CALEB WANTS TO AVOID JEZELL

CALEB WANTS TO AVOID JEZELL

Sarahiah, ignores Mitch, and all his questions, with the many late nights all she wants right now, is to get some rest not a lecture.  "Mitch please, hold all the questions please, I am here just to see how the business is flowing, and to collect the list to place the next order. Also, to drop off these documents and this payment."

"Thanks, so tell me, how are you keeping, I was so worried?" Looking at her wanting to help her in this time of her grief

Scoping her out from head to toe, he realized she has lost some weight, her suit is loose in her, and this navy blue suit used to fit her so snug but it is swerving in her now.

Also, she looks so pale and around her eyes look dark and hollow. Is that why she is wearing the dark shades to hide it? If only she just relax and not be so uptight, but she wants things between us to be at a professional level.

Recalling the day she hired him, she clearly said all staff members must take their personal life elsewhere. This is her business and the relationship between staff members should be professional.

Waiting until she finishes reading all her mail then she looks me in the eyes saying "I will survive Mitch, you know I miss her a lot but I am coping, I am taking it one day at a time."

"So, how is your dad keeping?"

Sarahiah felt such relief that her personal life and business are still personal, because it seems he hasn't heard she was away, "I can't say, Mitch,  I wasn't home these few days."

"Sarahiah, I hope you know I am here if you need me, so don't be a stranger."

"Thanks, Mitch, I really appreciate that, you are truly a good friend," she accepted the hug, "I will only be here tomorrow morning just for an hour."

Wanting to be so much more but she is my boss and I love my job, "Okay, just take care of yourself and call me if you need anything."

Sarahiah was turning to leave the store when she collided with the gentleman with the mole on his nose, calling out to Mitch, "Mitch, you have a customer."

"Excuse me, ma'am, I wanted to speak with you." 'Oh God, she is dashing away and I have been waiting an entire week just to see her.'

Observing as she hurries towards the door entrance when she said, "Sorry sir, but I don't work here anymore, I am sure there is someone who will be willing to assist you with whatever you may need."

Wanting so much to speak with her calling out to her, "Are you seeking employment at this immediate time?"

She never stop hearing her responding to his question, "I am afraid not, I just got promoted, so I stopped by to say thanks and goodbye."

Mitch looked at them, seeing Sarahiah pointing her finger in his direction he stepped out of the office and heard her telling the man, "Whatever you need, tell that gentleman, now if you will excuse me I am late for my new job," when she exited the door he noticed the gentleman was looking at him, but then he turns around and returns inside his office.

Caleb followed her thinking at that moment, 'I cannot afford to miss this opportunity, because I may never see her again.'

As she hurried out he grabbed her hand, but she was brisk, "Please, I just want to talk with you."

"No time to waste mister, I am being paid by the hour and I am already late as it is."

"Darn it, will you just stop for one minute," Caleb said as he corned her between him and the wall, "I was worried about you." He heard her laugh, seeing the people who were walking by just looking at them, "Will you stop that, people are looking at us?"

"Why, are you bashful, am I so ugly that you don't want to be seen with me?" Caleb released his hold from her, but she continued to laugh.

"Will you just stop the laughing please, it is embarrassing." When she didn't want to stop, he dipped his head and kissed her lips.

"Pax."

Hearing the sound as he stepped back to cover the spot where she slapped his face, "You darn split fire, why do you cause me to get so angry?"

"For your information, you came after me, so if you know what is good for yourself, you would stop following me around, and stay the hell away from me, I don't want to have anything to do with you."

Sitting in his office, he was unable to control his rage, he took some deep breaths before saying, "Who does she think she is?" But the sensation on his lips draws his attention back to her as his hand touches his face. Looking at the mirror, he saw the fingerprints printed on his face. The print was red leaving a serious impression.

Caleb stroked each fingermark, "I must avoid Jezell until this mark has vanished, also, before she comes this evening and notice it so fresh on my face.

Hurrying he went to the shelf behind the cashier and took a conceal and foundation cream to cover up the mark and returned to his office applying it on his face. When was three-o-clock he left the store and drove down to the beach, where he sought out a cool and secluded spot, not wanting to be seen or asked any questions concerning his face.

He thought this place was secluded enough, so he relax under this tree inhaling the fresh air, and allowing the cool breeze to simmer down the raging heat that the young lady had stirred up earlier in the day.  All he wanted was some quiet just to do some thinking.

When he heard a familiar voice from behind him call his name, Oh boy all I want is some peace and quiet, so why did he have to come now?'
