SARAHIAH WONDERS HOW DID THEY CONVINCED HIM

Caleb's family  enter his room and they look at her asleep, they each patted Caleb's shoulder saying words such as, "You lucky bastard, she is so beautiful, boy you hit the jackpot, and she is mind-blowing."

Caleb just smile hearing their appraisal of her but he said nothing, 'If only they knew the truth, and the many restless nights I had dreams about her walking away from me. But that is my secret and no one is entitled to know about it. It's just that those dreams had no hope of us being together.'

They must have stood in the room for about fifteen minutes just whispering to each other of how beautiful she was before they left. I could see mom and dad were happy to have us all together, just this once for this happy occasion.

It was after eight when I went to take a long cold shower, she was still asleep when he dressed for bed, 'I know we are never going to have anything like a honeymoon, and if she was awake, I know she wouldn't sleep on the same bed with me, so I am just grateful she is on my bed.'

Pulling the covers to his waist, he turns his back towards her thinking, 'If she was up what would be her reaction knowing the few times we had encountered each other we never see eye to eye on anything.'

Lying silently in the bed when he felt her move, as her body glides closer to him. It wasn't long after she just shift away from him and fluffed the pillow and laid down once more.

Her body was touching his which was causing a riot, but he had to ignore that feeling. Closing his eyes tightly fighting with his thoughts to control his feeling.

Sarahiah kept her eyes close, waiting and hoping for him to settle down. She lies still until the movement ceased and his body seems to relax then the soft snoring came.

The itchiness from the dress had wakened her, Sarahiah eased off the bed quietly then crept around slowly allowing her eyes to adjust to the darkness until she felt a door.

Standing up, Sarahiah opened it and then felt for a light switch, flipping it on seeing it was the bathroom. Thanking God, it was the bathroom light, she pulls the door halfway so the glare wouldn't bother his sleep She quietly moves around searching for a towel, then looked around once more for her toothbrush, soap and her clothes. While bathing she heard her phone ringing, getting out quickly so it wouldn't wake him, but it stopped.

Returning to continue her bath then put on a house dress. She crept once more until she reached the bed, looking at him and wondered, 'How on earth they had convinced him into this marriage?'

Seeing the table, she went towards it, the lamp wasn't bright when she switched it on, removing the towel only to see the plate thinking, 'I haven't eaten in days.'

Hearing her stomach making noise, she smelt the food to see if it was spoiled. It smelled delicious, taking a mouthful and then another until she couldn't stop. The plate was empty, 'I wanted more, but if I try to get to the kitchen and stumble on something they might think it is a thief.'

Drinking two glasses of water, 'You will have to suffice my hunger until another time.'

Sitting quietly, recalling David saying, 'The patch on his nose looks just like a puppy with a spot on its nose,' and when she heard them laugh she had thought the same thing, 'But his anger is unexplainable, did he know it was I he was going to married, but why didn't I figure it out?

I never really saw anyone's nose have a mole or birthmark and why did he go to the store and ask Claudia for me to meet him? What was it he wanted to speak to me about?

Well never mind, we don't know each other and with his girlfriend, he wouldn't want anyone knowing of this marriage, and that will suit me just fine. Now with the doctors only giving dad two weeks again. I have given in to his last wish, so he could have some peace of mind if only the chemo would work, but what the doctor said is, it has already gone too far and there is nothing they can do to help him now.

What I want to know is why didn't he come to me earlier? Now all I can do is pray and trust God for a few days extra even a miracle.'
