CALEB RECALLS HIS DREAM

Feeling sleep had disappeared from her eyes, she wondered, 'Where are the pills the doctor had prescribed for me to rest, I had only grabbed them before we left the room.'

Covering her mouth thinking, 'If he finds it he might think I might want to commit suicide.' Searching for it but then she hit the bottle of his cologne and it fell. Grabbing it up quickly and sit's down quietly seeing he shifted on the bed. "Dear God please don't let him wake up."

Unable to find it she chuckles, 'Well who cares what he thinks, my only concern is dad right now. Having to visit the store, then dad before I return here in the evenings. I know I cannot impose on his life and I will expect the same, but I must work out a plan.'

Returning to the table with the briefcase to do some work, knowing with everything that has been going on for the last few days she had no time to do the accounts from the stores.

Opening her laptop she saw the battery was low, removing all the files from the briefcase it wasn't there, she searched for the bag with her clothes, seeing it was on top of the wardrobe.

'If only I could reach up there to get it, I might stumble or throw down something and wake him up and that might be a catastrophe.'

Placing everything into the briefcase once more and closing it, leaving it on the table she checked the wardrobe for sheets, but she couldn't find any, checking the dresser it had none there either.

It could mean the sheets were in the overhead piece in the wardrobe. She went for the chair, but the thought flashed before her mind, 'Something falling will wake him, and when he gets angry, boy that is not going to be a nice sight. I must avoid him or doing anything to make him angry.'

Lying on the floor was very uncomfortable, feeling her body pain, hearing the clock bang three, she got up and went to the bed lying on the edge so that she wouldn't disturb him.

Closing her eyes, hoping to fall asleep, when the half-hour bangs, and still no sleep, feeling a bit chilly she pulled the covers from him slowly and covered herself. When her feet felt warm she relaxed and closed her eyes once more.

Opening his eyes seeing her cuddling up next to him, her head was on his shoulder, but she was hugging the pillow. Her closeness felt good and I never thought she would be in my arms already.

Smiling Caleb takes in the sight for a few minutes, 'She was beautiful and she smell wonderful, the pink pajama she had on was soft, and she feels very cosey in my arms.'

When his phone beeps with the alarm, he quickly swipes his finger to stop it so it won't disturb her rest. Caleb took the pillow he was using and raises her head, slipping it under her head as he shifted away quietly. She seems to be resting comfortably so he pulls the covers over her.

Observing the tray aunty Zelda brought for her was on the floor by the table foot, and she had eaten everything. Now her laptop and briefcase were resting on top of the table.

The room was just as before he went to sleep, only her dress was resting on a chair. Lifting the dress admiring how beautiful it was.

'She did so many little things in the room and I heard nothing. I must have slept very strongly, but then the night before I was so excited just knowing it was you I was getting married to, so I couldn't sleep.'

Looking at her lying on the bed, 'Oh God, if only I didn't have this meeting today, I would have liked to continue lying next to her.'

Recalling the dream he had, 'First she was angry and was moving away, but then the dream changed and she was feeling cold and alone. She didn't resist when I take her in my arms. I wonder what had changed, did she get some bad news?'

When the seven o'clock banged, Caleb hurried to the restroom then freshened up. Thinking about the dream, he wondered if anything was real, checking for her phone, finding it in the small hand purse and quickly saw a miss call at half eleven last night.
