Eighty One

When the doctor came, Caleb stood up and went towards him while Jerod and Matt continued sitting. Caleb whispered to the doctor that he was afraid that the fall might cause a miscarriage.

"Your wife is pregnant?"

"I suspect, she had been vomiting and having headaches regular, and her eating is very poor due to her father's passing. Please whatever you prescribe, be careful, she is very weak."

"Don't worry, I will take some test, and who are those two sitting with her?"

"They are her brothers, also they are law men, so don't tell them anything."

"Are you afraid of them?"

"No doctor, my wife loved her brothers a lot, and I want her to be the one to give them the good news," Caleb said looking at the boys move aside when the doctor reached the bed, he just said, "Hello," and took her notes, and read, then asked, "Excuse," as he pulled the curtain around her, and does his examination.

When the doctor did shift the curtain and stepped out, Caleb noticed his smile and nod. Jerod didn't wait for the doctor to say anything as he asked, "Doctor, how is my sister doing?"

"She is doing fine, by the morning she will be discharged and could go home."

Caleb called Petal to hear where they had reach, she just said, "He is being examined right now."

Caleb left her brothers with her as he went to meet Petal, who was with the doctor in the examination room. The night was long, the report from the doctor wasn't as he had expected, "He had a stroke, it isn't bad, but it could eventually lead to another heart attack. I suggest that he should not be doing any driving," the doctor said as he wrote something and give Caleb it, he then heard the doctor say, "Take him to Dr. Curtis for treatment, he should be okay."

Caleb reached by Sarahiah and the boys were still there with her. She was still asleep when the boys held his hand and they walked outside, "Caleb I hope you don't mind, but I believe she will rest better home, she doesn't like stairs."

"I don't mind, my main concern is that she is safe, and I am with her."

"Thank you for understanding."

...

Caleb drove inside the garage then turned to Petal, "You go and pack a few of dad things and yours, I will pack Sarah and my things, we are leaving home."

"But Caleb, where will we go?"

"Sarahiah have her own house, we will go there, only we will have to make a few changes."

"What's that?"

"Once Sarahiah got a prank call threatening her life, that's the reason she dyed her hair and sold the vehicles, and send the family away. She was so scared for us being seen together, so we have to be very careful. Now when we go there, it will be like we are a new family that bought the house, so no one will suspect. They don't know you, dad or I, and with her dyed hair and shaded, no one should recognize her."
