Ninety Two

Caleb closed his eyes, when he heard her mumbled, it was in such a lazy way, "You are home?"

"Uh, huh."

"I am hungry."

"I know, your stomach has been making noise and keeping me awake."

"I am sorry about that, but what time is it?"

"Six, I believe."

"Has the courier come with my files?"

"I can't say, and when I came Petal said nothing."

Sarahiah then turned to face him, "Tell me, how way your day? Did you find anything?"

"It was good, I visited S and S stores."

"You did?"

"Yes."

"Were they interested in hiring a manager?"

"Yes, I got the job."

"Great, then we could go to work together."

Caleb stroked her face and said, "Do you think that is wise? I didn't tell the assistant manager I know you, and I haven't told anyone about us, and I so wanted to share the news of our baby, so I told him."

When she said"Are you ashamed of me?" I didn't finish what I was saying when he saw the tears, "Please don't cry honey, you are very special and means everything to me, now if we go together, what will the assistant manager say. He will think I was lying after we spoke for so long." When Sarahiah attempted to get up he said, "Will you please settle down and try to be reasonable. I haven't told him you are my wife, but I am not ashamed of you, if that is what you want to know."

"Who cares?"

"I do, and if you want me to tell him, it is not a problem with me, but I don't think I will ever understand you."

Sarahiah saw him turn aside so she rolled to her side of the bed, then sat up. She felt a slight pinch on her lower back, so she sat there quietly. When Caleb sat up, he said, "Sarahiah please, you are taking it in a negative way."

"Will you just forget that I asked, in fact, when you go to work do me a favor and don't speak to me, and I won't speak with you before people get the wrong impression that I am interested in a married man."

"I have heard enough," Caleb snapped.

"Good, because I have nothing else to discuss, you could stay here, I am going into my room."

Sarahiah noticed how quickly he sprang out the bed and stood by the door, "Now you listen to me, no one is going anywhere. This is our room, you are my wife and we are having a baby."

"We?"

"Yes we, and we are not going to sleep in separate rooms. I want to be near you and to feel him when he moved for the first time, to talk with him."

"Him?"
