"Rolas, did you honestly think you had killed me?" he began laughing like crazy and said, "that was just a bag of meat I was using. I am still very much alive and more powerful than you could've ever imagined! Master, do you know how much trouble I went through after you tried to kill me? I scattered my soul into dozens of other people right before my life was taken, very mercilessly and heartbreaking might I add, by you and I was so weak I couldn't even take over them.
But eventually, I worked my ass off, manipulating and forcing them to move towards each other through whispers and signs. But all of it is over now, I can finally reap the fruits of my labor! Soon I will be so powerful, even the demons will fear me! I will make everyone bend to my will, make everything mine!!"
Zeeth silently crept down the room. Gror was knocked out over a broken table and Page was hiding behind a wall near the stairs where he watched Rolas and the voice who he assumed belonged to the man called Karkov. He was the first to notice Zeeth and held him back from intruding and whispered, "she told us to stay hidden. This is a personal matter that she wants to deal with."
"What's going on? Who is he?"
"Karkov, her last student. He's why she's so hesitant about accepting students, she thinks they might turn out like him. She tried to kill him but it didn't work out, as you just heard."
Rolas yelled again, "what are you doing here Karkov? Do you realize I can still beat you down?"
"But you won't. At least not here, you wouldn't risk the destruction of all your precious potions. And I plan on staying here as long as I need to, where is my real body?"
"Your real body? That 'bag of meat' you were talking about? I already threw it out."
Karkov said skeptically, "I know you haven't. It's far too precious of a research item for you to have gotten rid of, now where is it, woman?"
"I told you, it's too late. I burned the body with Deteriorating Flames."
"Lies!" he angrily hit a wall but he smirked when he did, "I see. You still have that room, do you?"
Rolas looked at the wall nervously, "Yeah. I do. But you don't know how to get in."
"Easy, just break the wall down." Karkov pulled his fist back, ready to punch the wall.
"Hah, I would like to see you try. I am a dark wizard, you think I haven't thought of anti-magic or physical measures? Just try it, I want to see what happens to you."
"Hmph." Karkov unclenched his fist, placing his open palm on the smooth. A black ring formed around his hand from the wall that jumped out at him, grabbing his entire arm and soon his entire body. A thick black casing held him in a place like an immovable suit. Rolas took the time to grab a few tools and weapons around her and set up a few skills, "Lock: Black Tornado!"
This time, her skill came out of the top of a small jeweled staff. It was a much darker and clearly much stronger spell than the one she used on Zeeth. She held the spell over a strange holder that looked like an overly designed egg holder. A small white lining held the spell hovering above the egg holder. She said, "Lock: Grabbing Spider, Lock: Sticky Paste."
And made a few more spells that her other holders held. Cracks began appearing on the black coat on Karkov like an egg giving birth to something. She lifted all the spell holders with some kind of magic from her staff, pointing it at the Karkov statue. As soon as a small piece fell off his black coating she let loose the Black Tornado at the small opening.
They heard loud yelling from within the statue but a black, snaky haze shot out from the hole and broke off the rest of the casing. His arm was torn up, twisted, and bleeding from where the hole had first appeared. The snake whipped around from his other shoulder, speeding at Rolas and hitting as many things as he could along the way. Rolas blocked or dodged all of the snake's fast attacks, shooting another spell at his arm. His limp arm was hit once again with something she called Grabbing Spider. A large black spot hit his shoulder and clung on.
Eight sharp, long sticks protruded out and curved back in like the legs of a spider, grabbing hold of his shoulder with a vice-like grip. The body had now been morphed into a sharper, more geometric shape that seemed like a sharp, symmetrical rock with a sharp end. From the end, a thin black lining was shot out. It first coiled around his body as he tried to tear the spider off to no avail, simply ripping at his skin and bleeding even more. The thin lining finally found a weakness near his ribs and dove in.
He finally broke off the legs of the spider using his snake but the thread had already gone in. He tugged the string out but it had already done the damage. Blood trickled from his mouth and the wound but a fangless snake coiled out from his stomach and bit the wound, closing it shut.
The snake whipped around again and wrapped around Rolas' arm and bit it but the fangs broke on her skin, a black ripple arose from her skin where the fangs hit. She pulled her arm back to tear the snake out. His face grimaced in pain as his skin was pulled back but the snake uncoiled and came back to him.
"No more! No more of this senseless fight, I just need my body back!" Karkov shouted outrageously.
"You're never getting it!"
"Well, well. I've just figured it out."
"Figured what out?"
He created a snake and detached it from his arm. "A small piece of my body to pay for my entire body back."
The snake's tail began deteriorating soon after it detached but it slithered away under the floor, melting and mixing in with the floor. Rolas quickly threw the Sticky Paste she still had, trapping the snake which wiggled around, deteriorated some more but eventually broke away into the wall and created a black circle on it. It sizzled a little bit and a hole broke open on the wall where the snake was, just enough for someone to crawl through.
"Dammit! How?" Rolas hit the wall in hopes of closing up the wall but something had affected it so that the wall wiggled but didn't cover it.
"It was the black casing, it seemed like a mixture of rubber, quick-changing slime, and your Kwik Powder. All I needed was a little bit of extreme heat, extreme cold, and dark burning magic, and I easily took care of all three." He jumped up and his snakes easily slithered him into the secret room.
"What have you done to my body?!" Karkov looked around at his skinny, weakened body that was cut and split into pieces in shock, running around and touching them all. Whenever he touched a piece of his body, a snake mouth formed around the piece and sucked it in. each time a piece of him was sucked back in certain parts of his body would strengthen.
"What the hell? That's why you wanted your body? That is super creepy, dude!" Zeeth ran to watch from the hole.
"Zeeth, stand back. I will fight this battle." Rolas pulled him back a little and flung out two ropes, one grabbing Karkov and one grabbing a few pieces of his cut-up body. She pulled back with all her strength, pulling out Karkov and the rest of his body that he didn't get to yet. A piece of his hand, his throat, and an eyeball.
"Fine, you can hold onto those for me for now, this should be enough for this eye." he took out a small brown case, a smaller version of the briefcase he stole from Jol made from the same casing. He crushed the messily made casing, revealing a small, smooth black ball with a strange lump in the front. Even Zeeth, with his limited black magic knowledge and experience, knew this thing held black magic beyond anything he ever felt outside of the necklace god gave him, although it's magic power was always locked away when it wasn't being used. He could constantly feel it when talking to god.
He chucked the black eye into his mouth and chewed it. He wasn't able to break it down so he simply swallowed the entire eyeball. He waited a few seconds and noticed black veins began to grow near his neck. It spread to his stomach, then to his arms, and all throughout his body. He inspected the black veins all over his arms, yelling, "HAHAHAHAHAHA, I HAVE BECOME ONE WITH THE DARK!! Haha! No one can stop me, not even the gods!!"
