Magic Eye

Suddenly, the veins began sprouting black blood all over his body and a large bump appeared near his stomach. It moved up through his chest, up with his throat, and out his mouth. The blood stopped shooting out and the wet eyeball fell out of his mouth.

"No! Why?! Why won't you work?"

Karkov crazily looked at the leftover parts that Rolas still held and reached for them, but his wounds were too serious for him to fight back too well, especially against Rolas. "Karkov, was that the eye of Black? Where did you get that? Wait, even if you had the rest of your body, it wouldn't be enough to hold that amount of power. It would just take longer to regurgitate it and hurt you more in the process."

"Shut it! Give me the body parts! You don't know that!"

"Yes, I do! Even I can't handle a Fluctu Potion, much less the eye of Black."

"I'm better than you!"

"Fine, try it again!" Rolas threw the rest of the pieces at him, who grabbed the rest and absorbed them. Some of the wounds healed but the rest still stayed.

"Rolas, what are you doing?" Page yelled, "why would you give the rest to him?"

"He can't do anything and this is the only way for him to learn. Besides, the eye will leave him half dead."

Zeeth asked, "Why would you say that? Now he won't do it."

"No, his pride is so huge, if someone even mentions that something is impossible, he'll just jump on it. Even if I say all this." and just as Rolas finished her sentence Karkov had taken the eyeball and eaten it again.

After a deep swallow, he yelled, "the lives of the prisoners and the donations from the labs give me enough strength to hold down the eye and use it for myself."

"You took nutrients from people? Is that what the incident down at the secret lab was? And the tenth prison?"

"Yes, I've taken a lot more than just those two, but- UUggh!" he wanted to make a speech but the veins had regrown and blood spurted out again. He fell to the ground, clawing at the floor and panting in pain. His eyes became black and an unnaturally deep voice came from his mouth and said, "Where am I? Pain? I haven't felt that in a while." he looked at his hands but it was clear it was no longer Karkov.

"What is this disgustingly weak body, it won't even last a month. I'm leaving." his eyes looked around at his surroundings and Zeeth could've sworn the black eyes narrowed when it saw him.

They turned back to their white and brown and the black eye popped out of his mouth again. This time, blood followed along and his eyes seemed to have been blinded, Karkov yelled in pain and held his eyes, leaving the blood near his mouth to drip.

"Wait! Zeeth, look!" Page pointed at his finger where a red ring sat. "The ring on his left middle finger, it's known as the King Devil's Anus. I'm sure you can figure out why it's called that. Rumor has it that a great hero by the name of Kajer once faced off against the devil. He died, but not before dealing with some serious damage.

Mainly, cutting off his you-know-what. He tried to teleport away as the Devil was focused on the anus, but he was dragged back by the devil and killed. The one thing that came out of the teleport gate was the anus and a bit of both of their blood. He didn't have much focus, so he had set the teleporter to some random location, and it happened here, hundreds of years ago in pre-civilized Melanis.

We're still not sure how reliable the story is, it was a combination of the eye witness of the tribespeople and the scientists of the time took both of their blood and tried to reverse it in time to see what happened, but the technology and magic understanding of the time was so old that they couldn't see much.

Well, the important thing is, the ring is the devil's anus, mixed with the blood of the demon and a legend who was able to cut off the Devil's anus."

"What does it do?"

"From what I've seen, temporary healing of any small wounds, light magical shields and-" but Page's words were cut off when Karkov jumped at Rolas, a massive black, clawed hand covering his originally bruised hand. A small black, starry hole that looked like a cut of space appeared next to his other hand as another one appeared behind Rolas.

The two connected through a thin, hazy black line, and the one next to his arm showed her back while the one on her back showed Karkov's side. He created another, much thicker snake that formed out of his arm and a sharp, black casing appeared around the snake as well and struck her back. A shield was formed out of the wall, blocking the snake but breaking both the wall and the casing around the snake.

"And short distance teleportation among a few other things."

"What do you mean temporary healing?"

"It blocks up all the wounds with magic that perfectly imitates the cells of a person, but because it's magic, it soon disappears and the wounds are worse than before."

"How long does it last?'

"Depends on the user but usually not too long. It's a powerful spell and he's using it on so many wounds. It also takes a ton of mana and, from what I've heard, it hurts a lot to use the ring which is probably why he isn't using it much."

Surprisingly, the wounds didn't open the moment he said that. Rolas had the wall stretch out and grab his neck, suffocating him before he broke them off. Karkov fought until Rolas eventually smacked him to the ground and the wounds opened again, both of them breathing heavily from fighting. When the healing had worn off, his eyes went blind again. He threw a strange red ball on the ground and made an entire arm into a massive black snake that swerved around Rolas' punches. The snake bit the ball, crushing it into powder and swallowing it all. When all of it dissolved in his snake arm, it separated from his arm and didn't dissolve like the last one.

The snake grabbed and swallowed the eyeball and slithered to the unconscious Gror still on the floor, wrapping around his neck. "That snake moves on its own and won't deteriorate so fast even without any source of nutrients, give me some healing potions, or the kid's dead."

"Come on, you should know me better than that, you think I care about the kids?"

"No, of course not." The snake suddenly bit into Gror's neck and merged itself into him. Without opening his eyes, the snake lifted Gror up to his feet who ran at Rolas. She kicked him away while still holding onto Karkov. He landed next to Zeeth and Page, the snake surveyed the two, slithered out or Gror, leaving him once again unconscious, and jumped at Zeeth. He hurriedly punched the snake away, covering his hand with a rock covered Mel.

The snake was punctured but no blood or anything came out, the body simply wrapped around Mel and its head snapped toward his head. It bit down on his chin but before it could actually sink into his skin, the snake exploded and the eye inside of it used the remaining bits to propel itself onto Zeeth. The eye attached to his forehead and used the snake bits to connect to Zeeth. The already black eye got a little darker near a small point like an eyeball dunked in black paint. It communicated to Zeeth through his mind, "consume this eye. Your body intrigues me greatly, I will be willing to reside with you. We can help each other out greatly."

Zeeth found he was able to talk to the eye, asking, "and why should I? Sounds like you want to take over my body."

"You mean you won't let me take it over? People of my time killed for this opportunity. Oh my, I had no clue things would change so much."

Karkov realized his snake had exploded and his vision began coming back to him a little bit. He noticed the eye attached itself to Zeeths head and everyone stood there silently, watching him. Page tried to ask what was going on but Zeeth was too focused on his conversation to reply. Karkov instantly realized what was going on and yelled, "stop the boy! He and the eye are conversing, they want to merge!"

He sent his other arm at Zeeth, throwing another red ball into the air that the snake caught in midair. Page and Rolas both tried to stop it but Karkov had given it a lot more of his body and even some speed magic to evade them.

The eyeball looked at the snake and yelled to Zeeth, 'no time boy. I will be using some of your magic which I am obligated to tell you, will bind us magically but it's either that or your life and my continual imprisonment in this blasted eye.'

The black pupil, even darker than the rest of the eye, narrowed and blasted out a grey ray of magic at the snake. It cut the snake in half like a laser beam and froze the two halves into rocks.
