Draconis Enferme and Pull

Page turned to Zeeth and asked, 'why don't you come in?'

'Black warned me not to go in. said they felt off.'

Despite saying that, the doctors did annoy him enough to eventually sweep them away and walk into the bubble. Page created a small cut on each of their arms for a little blood to come out and mix it with the powder. He poured a small amount into a leather pouch, mixed it with the blood, and rolled it into a pill. The powder collected and hardened like sand mixed with water.

Zeeth moved it in with a bit of water, Page ran from bed to bed, making a small cut that the bubble quickly healed and rolling it with the powder. Each time the children swallowed the pill their sweat stopped completely and their body relaxed, unclenching their fists and unfurling their eyebrows.

Page arrived at the last child, a young girl with dark brown skin and black hair. He made a tiny cut on her arm and moved some blood into the bag, rolling it around until a solid, dark pink pill came out. Zeeth wrapped it in a sliver of water and led it down her mouth. They now stood in a room of sleeping children and doctors staring back at them from the doorway.

'Zeeth,' said Black, 'the feeling is getting stronger! The energy is welling up!'

Page walked to the doctors, "now, common symptoms of the cure are fluctuations in their mana, involuntary movements, often coughing up blood, do not worry, those are normal and part of the healing process. You just need to keep them clean and breathing."

Zeeth tried to move but something kept him stuck there. A young boy, the child closest to the door and got the first cure, opened his eyes wide, his pupils turning purple. The arm that was cut jerked upwards towards Zeeth. Zeeth walked to the child and a string of mana connected the child's stomach to his chest. The kid next to him, the second to be treated reacted the same way, connecting a string of purple mana to both of them.

'The feeling has been confirmed! There is a mana reaction,' yelled Black.

Page turned around from talking to the doctors, noticed a disturbance behind him, and turned around just in time to see a thread connect Zeeth to another child as he was lifted into the air. The children that were connected to him all had their eyes open and had purple pupils.

The threads went from the children to Zeeth and the more it flowed, the more the purple veins crawled away. With each passing second, every child had their veins drawn away by the thread-like string pulling out the disease and into Zeeth.

When the purple veins vanished from the first child, he collapsed onto the bed, then the second, and third.

Zeeth knew what was happening yet couldn't quite put a pin on why. What is the thread? Why didn't it affect Page? What was it doing to him and the kids?

[Draconis Pull. Draconis Enferme infects people and loads them with Dragons overwhelming mana. Within time, too much overflow can cause pain and death.

After absorbing the blood and heart of a dragon with a Fluctu Potion, your body can absorb and handle Dragon mana, curing others and strengthening yourself.]

Why does a Fluctu Potion mix with dragon blood matter?

God's Eye Level 2 immediately replied, [Fluctu Potions overflows your body with mana, opening new channels for it to flow through, allowing more of your body to have more mana. Mixing it with dragon blood, which is dense in its mana, gifts your body partial immunity to it and understands how to handle it better.]

He tried moving but the hold was too strong, it pressed against his chest and kept him airborne.

During this time, Black told him, 'I knew that wasn't it of the potion! I didn't say so at the time because I didn't know but I felt like a Fluctu Potion mixed with dragon's blood should've had more of an effect. But it seems it only needed an activation sequence to unleash its full potential. And that was being near dragon power again, which we don't get to do very often.'

'Does this mean Draconis Pull works on any dragon magic, even real dragons?'

'Yes, the pull should work. But dragons have some of the greatest holds on their own magic, this pull will likely be too weak for a real dragon.'

Finally, the last child had all their purple veins sucked away, collapsing like everyone else and allowing Zeeth to fall.

Page ran to help him up and asked, "what was that?"

Zeeth telepathically said, 'God's Eye said something very interesting.'

After making sure the kids were alright and the doctors were closed off, Zeeth told Page everything. Page stayed silent for a moment, pondering.

"What are you thinking?" asked Zeeth.

"We learned how to harness dragon power before but not like this. This is fantastic, we never had to deal with the Fluctu Potion or the Choas Dragon."

"Hey, could you tell me more about your past? How, why, and what happened?"

"Oh yeah, I spoke to the angel a few more times. She noticed how much you've grown and I convinced her yesterday that I should tell you what happened."

"Oh! Then tell me!"

"Later. We have to deal with Linda and Cuddle's eggs. Also, I have to steal everything from Cunner."

At the front gates, Linda swerved her car to a halt, stepping out of it with a hold on Yem. Eddie, Elton, and the villagers were at the front gate, waiting for her. She whipped her head out, causing her long auburn hair to wave in the air. Elton stared at her, unable to look away. He knew he didn't have s stomach, but it felt like his magic bonds were weakening just looking at her.

'I can't look away. She's... beautiful.' he had to grab his joints to prevent his magic from wavering and causing them to drop. He had the urge to talk to her, to be the first to get her attention and keep it on him, but he was too afraid of her reaction. A year ago, during the start of his training, even the monks were scared and baffled, the supposedly most stoic and unfeeling people.

Dealu lifted his arm, tested his strength and what his boundaries were. They tested the elasticity and he heard them saying to each other behind his back, "what are we supposed to do? He's a collection of mana and bones. What can he do?"

"He's a skeleton, not some mythical being. He's flimsy and unknown but we can test his limits and expand upon them. He will be part of the group to fight Rah soon, he just needs to hit as hard as possible."

Elton looked at his bony hands and empty body, full of despair. 'They're right, I'm just a stack of bones. What the hell can I do?'

A transparent light green ghoul crept out of his right ribs, seeping out like a bubble. It said to Elton in a hollow, deep voice, 'Hey, don't talk to my friend Elton like that! He is a great, wondrous being. Being mysterious and new is an amazing thing. Are you saying that we are horrible because you haven't seen any ghouls before?'

'No, of course not Ribs. You're a great spirit.'

'Yeah, I am. And so are you. Your body is a mystery, embrace that and find out what it can do. You've heard the monks, don't focus on curing your weaknesses, focus on expanding upon your strengths right now.'

'Ribs is right.' another ghoul crept out of his skull. 'Believe in yourself more. And we will always help.'

Elton watched her walk up to Eddie, the largest person there, and ask about something he couldn't hear. He simply imagined what it might be like to talk to her and even that spiked his anxiety.

Eddie grunted and hit Yem around before she moved to speak to an old elf woman.

In the throne room of Grinkhald, the kingdom Karkov toppled and took over, he sat on the fancy red and gold throne, speaking down to Utha, "Yem is in trouble. Her blood calls for help."

"Why does that concern me?" Utha asked.

"Because she is a demon and has a Demonic Association with your demon so her death will mean your weakening. Use this chance to strengthen that instead by saving her."

"Fine. But no promises about her contracted human."

"No promises."

Karkov sat in his high chair as Utha bounced away, pondering, 'who the hell would have defeated Yem with Yemisia? She's my top demon along with her contracted human. Was it a Sage dragon? No, she wouldn't survive that. Then a human?'

His demon parrot flew down from the ceiling, squawking. "We can go see who it was."

"No. Not yet. I have to stay here for the moment. Our abilities are still stabilizing and my power is still unpredictable. You can go through.'

'Tsk. Cautious punk,' the parrot thought, 'you're just a stepping stone, why do you care for your life so much? You're MY contracted being. Oh well, you can sit in your high chair for now.'

Zeeth walked out of the room and Leia, who was now labeled Alba by God's Eye. Page slowly approached her with a somber tone, "anything you need. We'll be there."

She reached in and hugged him, tears streaming down and staining his shirt.

The slime he left with her jumped off and returned to Zeeth. "Let's see what you have," he said, inspecting it with God's Eye.

During the end of his training, just as Pinky learned the bubble effect, Pishku sat down with him as he inhaled mouthfuls of meats and fruits he remarked, "now that your water and bonds between your slimes have grown so much stronger, it seems they have become better as well."

"How so?" He asked through a mouthful of food.

"Your slimes have always had a natural ability to absorb and process magic in their own ways and eventually use a form of it for themselves.

Now, after training so hard, their water and bodies have become clearer, their absorption and processing rate have become much faster and can now be considered an ability of its own. Although it is just a part of its natural body.

I really wish you would eat slower."

He took a drop gulp of water and said, "this is how I ate in the jungle. If I didn't, some other creature would steal my dinner and run away. And now it's just a bad habit."

He got a memory of his past, a fake mother cooked him a roasted chicken and he watched as he devoured its meat. Then, on a mission, he was given packets of protein bars and tasteless pills containing everything he needed to simply survive or get energy boosts.

When he came back, a deep desire for roasted chicken arose from within him, and tears nearly welled up from the memory he retained.

The slime in front of him, the one that just came off of Alba, read, [Slime. Skill absorption.

All Seeing Slime (developing) by looking through this slime, you can see through certain objects with weak enough defense and possibly see a little into the future.]

L began waving her hands around, gesturing about a drill and swirling clouds, waving her arms around. Elton kept watching her, thinking, '…cute.'

Zeeth finally noticed the commotion at the front gates and Yem, now restrained, tried to fight back.

When she saw him through the crowd, she pointed at him and yelled, "Zeeth! Hey, can we talk? Just for a moment!"

Page walked to her, signifying to the villagers to part ways. "What do you want to discuss?"

"A job. But it's a sensitive subject, I would like to discuss it with just him."

Zeeth told her, "anything you say to me, you can also say to him. His presence is non-negotiable."

'Seriously? Fine. if it can't be helped.' She looked at them, tossed Yem aside, and sighed, "Fine. Let's go somewhere less crowded."

A black square grew underneath all three of them. On all four sides, more black squares grew out to create five more that folded up and boxed them in. she thought proudly, 'are they surprised by my ability? Heheh.'

Page kept staring at her while Zeeth tried to touch the wall, yet his hand fell through the air as if there was nothing there. It was disconcerting, like an illusion, but Page said, "what an advanced Shadow Trap. you must've spent a lot of time practicing it."

'He isn't baffled? Good thing Zeeth is, we need to know he is more gullible- er, trusting, but this man seems to know too much. If only he could be kept out of the picture.'

She eyed Page suspiciously and annoyingly but she actually said, "Yes. I have. In this room, no one outside can hear or see us, and if they can I will know."

"Then let's talk. What kind of stuff did you want to talk about?"

"Right. There is a school in the Bardstrem Kingdom called the Bardstrem School of Practical Magic and Arts. Are you interested?"

"A school-related job? Those are rare. What is the job description?" he said, yet he was thinking, 'this wasn't the job she offered before. But it's good to act curious. Letting her know that I think this is rare and difficult will let me jack up the price.'

She paused. 'hah, this child. He's making this job offer a haggling opportunity. He just wants to make more money.'

Outside the cube, Yem lied on the ground, a Mana Disruption stone was lodged in her head and Cunner was eyeing her from a distance. He held in his hands all the tools his father bought him to go hunting, all his powerful weapons, and useful tools.

He thought about trying to kill her, 'if I were to stab her right now, it would prove my point. No, what if she is strong? What if I die?' he put the weapons on the floor when it struck him, 'If someone else is going to steal this stuff anyway, why should I use it one last time? I have to prove myself!'

He cautiously held a bright red sword in his hand, trembling as he seriously thought of it.

At that time, the doctors rushed towards them, yelling at the crowd, panting, "the children! The children!"

"What? What happened to them?" Alba yelled, choking up, "are they- they aren't de…dead, are they?"

"No! *gasp* they are alive! And well! *gasp* they are cured, the dragon's disease is gone!"

"What? How? I heard Page talking about the cure from the orb but does it work that well?"

"No, something else happened! Purple lines appeared from their disease origins and entered some boy in robes! Where is he?"
