Why at his house?(chptr 31)

Nick dropped me at my house and he left. I was very tired and wanted to take a good sleep , just after my ill condition I was so busy. So I got my clothes changed and then went to sleep.

The next morning I woke up very late and just jumped on my couch and surfed through my social media. Everywhere our interview was present saying that how we were supporting each other during awkward questions and this was real love, they said.

I was also surprised that there was not a single message or call from Nick. I thought even he must be tired so I didn't called him. I went in my garden with a mug of coffee and started my work. Suddenly I received a message from Nick's manager and she told. me to look after the emails and the other information. I asked her where Nick was and she told me that he was busy. So I continued doing my work and later watched my favourite shows . I wondered why still Nick didn't called me. I went to the kitchen to make dinner and then had it. I looked at my phone but there was still no call or message from him so I decided to call him,

"Yes Jenna, I was about to call you".

"What on earth are you doing ?".

And I heard a lady's voice from behind,

" Nick I'm waiting let's leave fast".

"Jenna I will call you back, take care".

And he hung up it was for the first time he did this , I don't know if the words were turning true that Nick just changes girls in his life .So I decided to drop at his house next morning.

The next morning I woke up and got ready real quick.I left my house and within an hour I reached his house.

I rang his bell and a lady opened the door,

"Hey Miss Jenna you are here".

It was Jemmy, Nick's ex why was she at his house ?

"Hello miss Jemmy". And when I entered the house Nick came running to see me,

" Jenna you're here, is everything okay?" And he kept his hand on my shoulder. Suddenly Jemmy interrupted,

" Miss Jenna we are working on something".

"Okay then if you guys are busy I'll leave you alone".

" Its not like that Jenna, I'm collaborating with Jemmy for our merch".

" But you're supposed to report me about it right?"

" I asked my manager to do it as I was very busy with the discussions and outfits".

" Great then I'll leave". I just left because it was pointless standing there. While I was about to get into car Nick came,

"Jenna I did not intend to hurt you, whenever I tried calling you some work interrupted ".

" It's okay Nick, you're doing your job I need to leave".

I just closed my door and left from that place.I went to my office and started working but the thoughts didn't stop I was at work but just physically.I don't know but it was affecting me .Mr Ning entered my room,

"Boss please sign this we need to send this".

And he noticed that I was lost in some thoughts.

" Miss Jenna is everything okay?".

"Yes Mr Ning give me the file".

"Boss I don't know what happened but I know you. You're not a person who allows emotions distract the work".

And what he said was actually true I should not let these things affect my work, this is not me I need to work.

"Thank you Mr Ning here are the files".

And he left, Then I received a message from Nick,

"Let's have dinner together at my favourite place".

And I agreed so that we could talk about things and sort out them.I thought denying meeting him just because I was mad would make things worse. So I decided to dine with him.
