Chapter 4: The Return of Heaven's Proud Son (Part 4)

Wrapped in a bath towel, she emerged from the bathroom, groggy and dazed. Her dress from yesterday was nowhere to be seen, only a pale blue and goose-yellow color-blocked Chanel dress with puff sleeves hung in the wardrobe, perfectly her size.

She didn't have the mindset or the time to think further, and simply changed into the dress. Fortunately, the dress wasn't revealing, perfectly concealing the marks on her body.

She peeked out of the room, then hurriedly left the hotel with her head down.

...

Ji Anning had agreed to meet Ji Jingfeng at the intersection, and she took a taxi to get off at the corner.

Today's Hai City was sunny with a gentle breeze, and the trees lining the roads were lush and green.

The gentle breeze played with the hem of her dress.

The sound of a car slowly approaching came from behind, and she turned around leisurely, her skirt swirling with the motion, the breeze tousling the hair on her forehead, fine and delicate, caressing her fair and flawless complexion.

A black Maserati slowly drove past her.

The car window was open, and the man sat quietly in the back seat, his white shirt making his handsome face appear even cleaner and brighter.

A fleeting glance, a startling encounter.

She even caught a whiff of that... familiar fragrance, noble and subtly elegant...

Ji Anning watched the Maserati fade into the distance, her lips curled into a faint smile.

In the golden morning light, that smile was complex and mixed with various emotions.

The arrogant one had returned, the real Satan had come back.

Three years' time didn't seem so long after all.

So engrossed was she in her gaze that she didn't notice a white Audi slowing down beside her.

'Beep'

The person in the car honked the horn, startling Ji Anning. She snapped back to reality and withdrew her gaze to look at the car beside her.

At that moment, the person in the car poked their head out, and a young face, still bearing traces of childishness, showed an apologetic smile, "An'an, have you been waiting long?"

When Ji Anning saw Ji Jingfeng, she diverted her eyes guiltily, instinctively lowering her head and gently shaking it, "No."

Last night, her virginity had been taken by a stranger.

How was she to face Ji Jingfeng, her childhood sweetheart, her fiancé, her future husband?

The man who once saved her life...

She dared not face him, and she had no face to face him.

"What were you looking at just now? You seemed so engrossed," Ji Jingfeng asked, draping his arm on the car window, tilting his neck, and smiling as he scrutinized Ji Anning.

His gaze made it impossible for Ji Anning to look up at him, and she gently shook her head, "Nothing..."

After responding to Ji Jingfeng, her gaze involuntarily lingered in the direction ahead once more, where the black Maserati had already disappeared around the corner.

Then she reached out to open the car door and got into Ji Jingfeng's car.

The car slowly drove into the luxurious courtyard, a villa exquisite enough to be considered a masterpiece stood at the center, and the fountain that hadn't been turned on in three years now sprayed endless tiers of water, like celestial maidens scattering flowers.
