Chapter 59 Reluctant Cohabitation (Part 5)

Ji Anning gritted her teeth and shot Yang Danning a harsh glare but couldn't retort.

After all, she still didn't want Ji Chicheng to see through her; she wanted to maintain some dignity and face in front of him.

Sigh, indeed, everyone has a bit of vanity.

Well, she might as well go there; it would only cost her a month's living expenses if she took on some high-difficulty stunt roles.

Ronghui Plaza was two stops away from T University, having opened last year. It wasn't too upscale, but the expenses weren't low either; during the grand opening, many big shots, including Wan Yueyue, were invited.

Once on the bus, Ji Anning rummaged through her bag to make sure she had her only bank card with her, otherwise not having money to pay the bill would be incredibly embarrassing.

They had all come in Ji Chicheng's car, which was parked in the underground garage of Ronghui Plaza.

After getting out of the car, Ji Anning quickened her pace to give Yang Danning and Ji Chicheng a chance to be alone, walking about two meters in front of them toward the escalator entrance.

The area was surrounded by glass walls, and Ji Anning stopped in front of a glass door.

The door didn't respond, and she frowned and forcefully stomped her foot, but the door still didn't react.

She frustratedly stomped her foot again.

"Hahaha..."

Suddenly, Yang Danning's merciless laughter came from behind, "Ji Anning, you're such a fool; that's a pull door. No matter how hard you stomp your leg, it won't open."

Upon hearing this, Ji Anning took a closer look at the door, and the handles on the two glass doors were indeed very obvious. Her face turned red with embarrassment up to her ears.

Damn, aren't all doors in such malls supposed to be automatic sliding doors?

She, the top student Ji Anning, had actually made such a foolish mistake; that guy truly was her nemesis.

Thinking this, she gritted her teeth and turned around, planning to secretly glare at Ji Chicheng but unexpectedly, Ji Chicheng was also looking at her, and his deep black eyes seemed to contain...laughter?

And his lips were also slightly curved, wearing a mocking smile.

Was he also laughing at her?

Ji Anning, feeling both embarrassed and annoyed, averted her gaze, pulled open the door, and stormed in, quickening her pace. By the time she had gone up, Ji Chicheng and Yang Danning had just started taking the escalator one after the other.

"Anning is only good at academics; she often makes such foolish mistakes in daily life."

Yang Danning used Anning's blunder as an opportunity to strike up a conversation with Ji Chicheng.

Saying so, she tilted her head back and laughed, looking up at Ji Anning waiting for them upstairs.

Ji Chicheng pressed his lips together and gave a small smile, unmistakably humorous.

Ji Anning scanned the area she was in with her gaze and then looked at where Ji Chicheng and Yang Danning were, checking their progress.

She just happened to catch the varying degrees of smiles on their faces, both seemingly laughing at her.

She grimaced!

Were they still mocking her?

That arrogant man, always looking down on her, mocking her was one thing, but for Yang Danning to join in and laugh until now was another.

Fair-weather friend! Betrayer for lust!

Ji Anning, heartbroken and distressed, decided to head to the restaurant alone.

She checked the direction; Yang Danning said it was the east gate, so she headed toward the east.

'Bang!'

There was some event going on at the entrance of the mall, Ji Anning, who wasn't initially interested, suddenly heard a gunshot that frightened her into stopping.

"Wow, this person is awesome."

"He's hit seventeen already, he can hit such small targets, that's amazing."

Cheers erupted from the crowd of onlookers.

Attracted by the commotion, Ji Anning's gaze ventured over; there weren't many people watching, so she could see inside where a tall, thin boy, wearing a jacket, was standing in front of a shooting game machine, slightly bent over.
