A Woman’s Name

Su Bei held his shirt tightly, but she could not say anything to him.

Hua Jinan carried her into the car and quickly ordered, "Move!"

Then, he called someone. "It's me… my wife suddenly had a stomach ache… 26 years old, 20 weeks pregnant, blood type A…"

Su Bei's pain was slowly eating her away. She could hear Hua Jinan speak every single word clearly.

Especially the word "wife"!

Also, the fact that he knew so many details about her.

Su Bei looked at Hua Jinan in shock. As if knowing whatever it was she was thinking, Hua Jinan explained in a deep voice, "I don't want you to feel awkward."

Su Bei understood after giving it some thought.

He meant the fact that he called her his wife.

Some doctors have an unscrupulous attitude towards women who were pregnant before their marriage. Some even go so far as to look down on them.

However, not many people would do that in front of him though.

He carried her and made her lean on his back, his warm hand holding her waist tightly.

Su Bei felt unnaturally relieved. The pain did not subside though, and she bled even more.

She could not open her eyes, and she felt tired.

Suddenly, the man's phone rang. As she leaned on his shoulder, she heard a woman's voice from the phone.

The man's hoarse voice was mixed with shock. "Yan'er?"

As she felt the hand around her waist tighten, Su Bei finally lost consciousness.

As she regained her consciousness, it was already midnight.

Hua Jinan had arranged a high-class VIP room for her. The interior design was as grand as a hotel.

The curtain was not closed, and she could see the night sky.

The first thing that came to her mind was the child. Her hand immediately searched for her belly.

The child is still there!

Her tense expression relaxed without her even noticing it.

An unnoticeable smile leaked out of her lips.

She got up slowly, but she could not find her shoes. Then, she walked towards the couch beside the window barefooted.

Suddenly, the door was pushed open, and the bright light in the living room shined into her room.

Hua Jinan got in, and the first thing he saw was Su Bei standing barefoot on the ground.

He walked in large steps towards her. Still in shock, her whole body was lifted off the ground.

She screamed, but the person who lifted her up spoke coldly. "Walking barefoot even though you're sick? Don't you know you'll catch a cold?"

For the first time, Su Bei did not retort nor struggle. She let him tuck her in and wrap her up like a doll.

Her eyes widened and she looked at him. "Why are you still here?"

The man sat down beside her and laughed coldly. "I really did save a person who has no sense of gratitude."

Su Bei could not resist laughing. "Thanks for saving me. I thought you left due to you being busy."

Hua Jinan nodded. "I'm busy and am about to leave."

Su Bei immediately realized what happened. "You came in because you saw me. I'm fine now. You can leave."

The man looked at the woman who was waving her hand at him. "I'm not leaving."

Su Bei looked at him in desperation. "Aren't you busy?"

"Not anymore!" The man laughed.

Su Bei thought about it and continued, "I'm fine now. Please, relax. I can take care of myself too. That is why you should leave."

"Don't simply kneel around on the streets in the future." The man spoke with a somewhat cold and commanding tone.

Su Bei was suddenly choked by her words. She raised her head and looked at the man above her.

It was only after a while before she spoke again. "You saw everything?"
