The day after her discovery on the fluitis mias herbe, Eleanor quickly ate her breakfast and went to where her foot lead her automatically for three week, doctor Cain's office. She opened the door and looked right and left, she couldn't find him in the office. Even though it is a spacious office, she could usually easily find him because he always made a lot of noise while looking for books and all. After one last look at the empty office, she went straight to the medical imperial garden. You could get lost in this garden, it's so big but fortunately she knew where he often went to work and as she expected he was squatting near the fluitis herbe, looking intensely at it as if he was trying to figure out something.
"Morning Cain, how are you today?" she said happily.
He turned around and after seeing her, he smiled warmely and replied,
"Ah, you are here Lea, I am fine but we can't say the same for this medical herbe."
"What?! No way, did it already die?" She said while squeezing hard against her chest the papers containing the information.
"Not yet but...sigh! I don't think that she would last long unfortunately." He said as he face got gradually depressed.
Before she could say anything, his disciples came, they were a group of six and were wearing white coat with a hood, it seemed to be the uniform for those who are training to become doctors. One of them who had a sharp look glared at Eleanor from the corners of his eyes and stepped forward before saying,
"Master, we tried everything we could to grow the fluitis mias but nothing seem to work...we are sorry for our incompetence."
"There's no need to apologize, you guy did a good job, it is not your fault. Even I, have a hard time resolving this problem."
Then, after think for a little moment and looking at his other comrades who gestured to him with a nod he said,
"Master may I suggest something?"
Cain who was taking the papers that Eleanor handed him, turned his eyes toward the disciple before looking at her papers and said,
"Yes, go ahead please. What are you thinking about?"
"What if, we send someone to Munoa and look for a witch or a wizard, they could know how to resolve this problem."
Cain shook his head and said while looking at Eleanor's papers,
"No! bad idea, his highness will never allow those kind of peoples to stroll around the imperial palace. You could never imagine how much he hates them."
At his words, Eleanor jolted in surprise and thought, 'hates?! why?....then I,...if he know about the witch book in my possession, he will kill me....or worst, hates me?! sigh, I am so stupid, dying is worst then him hating me. I should quickly get out of this palace before that happen.'
"Wait, Lea! where did you get this?!" Cain enthusiatically shouted and brought her back to reality.
"Ah! yes, I came this morning to talk to you about this..."
'Wait, but what if they think that this kind of solution came from a witch?!....will they lock me up, like in Eilhem until Francis get back and kill me.....' She thought, as her eyes were wandering between Cain and his disciples.
"Lea?! what's wrong why don't you continue? Are you feeling unwell? you look pale." He said with a worried look while the disciples still glared at her because of the concern their master showed her.
"No, I...I am Perfectly fine sorry to have worried you, hahaha..." She said to reassure him while awkwardly smiling, she was thinking deeply before contining her speech, 'it is okay, if I explain well, they wouldn't relate this to a witch's work. It will be fine.'
"Yes, about the fluitis, you know how yesterday I left to look for information about it.."
"Yeah, you left in a hurry before I could tell you to not bother yourself about it..." Cain answered and then the disciple intervened and said,
"Master's right, a person who doesn't know anything about medicine shouldn't meddle in this complicated matters." He put on a sarcastic smile and continued,
"A woman should just behave well, and stay in her room while waiting for her man to come back and please him."
At his words the others disciples laughed and looked at her from head to toes as if to scrutinize her. Cain's face became dark and his eyes looked sharp and cold. He was angry.
But before Cain could intervene, Eleanor looked at the hostile disciples and said with a mishevious smile,
"Well, firstly! let me teach something even incredible disciples like yourselves couldn't figure out, shall we?!"
"Wha?!...You! how dare you talk to us like that?!" Said the arrogant disciple outraged, but Cain stopped him and said,
"Just listen to her, it could help you all a lot."
After Cain's order they shut their mouths and listened to her.
"So, about the fluitis, it seem to need the substance of another herbe called finus. We have to grow the finus herbe near the fluitis mias so that it would help her to nurture and grow. This is the only way."
"I see, this is ingenious, the finus herbe is commonly used to lessen fatigue but who could know that it would be essential to the grow of the precious and rare fluitis mias." Said Cain while looking at the papers and putting his fingers under his nose. He always did it while thinking about ideas or learning new thing, then he continued,
"This could work perfectly, very well, let's proceed with your idea, Eleanor."
After nodding to Cain with a smile, she glared toward the disciples and said,
"Secondly, know that this mere woman in from of you, learned about medicine since her six years old, so don't come and try to impose your thoughts one sidedly!" She took a step toward them and continued while leaning gently near the arrogant one.
"And lastly, I am not his majesty's lover but his savior and guest. So be extremely careful while sputting nonsense it could get all of you beheaded for insolence. Heh!"
The disciples became pale at her warning and they tried to escape but Cain still angry looked at them coldly and said,
"She is right, when did I teach you this kind of behavior?! I always told you to respect every person's judgment. I am extremely disappointed in you all, pack up your stuff and leave."
"Ah! Master....we..we didn't mean to..We are sorry. Please don't discard us. Miss we are extremely sorry for our behavior, please forgive us."
The others went on their knees and cried,
"Please master, miss we are so sorry..."
Eleanor grabbed Cain's arms, pulled him toward him and said while looking at him worried,
"Cain, you don't really have to go that far, I just wanted to teach them a lesson. And I think that they got their share of scare now look at their pitiful state."
"Okay, if you are willing to forgive them, I will let this matter slide, but this will be the last warning another mistake and you all will return home. Is that clear?!" He said while glaring coldly at them.
"Yes, very clear, thank you miss and master." Replied the arrogant guy that looked obedient now. Cain sighed and continued,
"Now go, and prepare the finus herbes and make preparation for this plan, quickly. And later you all, will clean all the garden neatly this will serve as a punishment."
They became depressed at the thoughts of cleaning the entire medical garden but nevertheless they nodded and went to their works.
