My reality and their assumption

He looked at her sharply as he asked her that question. She didn't react to it because she knew that Francis and his closest friends were all smart enough to figure out the tiniest change in her expression. Hence, with a calm tone she answered,

"Back then, my grand mother told me all kinds of stories..." Before she could finish, Valeria burst in laughter and said mockingly,

"Pfff!Haha! Are you saying that you were telling us child's stories, right now?!This is ridicilous, you are wasting our times"

"Well, I don't really care about your time miss, but if you could refrain from interrupting me, that would be helpful." At her reply, Alphonse and Sebastian were having a hard time hidding their laughter, it infuriated Valeria who felt mocked.

"Whaa?!.." Before she could retort Eleanor continued,

"She once got a gift by a wandering traveler, it was a book about the withes. I love reading a lot so my grand mother gave it to me as a present, that's how I knew all about them..."

After having laughed a lot, Sebastian cleared his throat and said,

"Okay, but how can we be sure that the book was not false and fabricated?!"

"Well, that book is not in my possession but you all must have seen that difference at some point, because it is so obvious. I can't understand how one can not make a difference between the two. But seeing how you were about to treat this witch, I understood that you didn't even bother to know it since you don't even care about it." She said while hidding her expression to not let them see the sadness in her blue eyes. 'I wonder why even after so many years, the cruelty toward witches still remain. I understand the human's grudge toward evil witches, but what about the good witches, they don't deserve this fate but yet they are still killed without distinction. It is no wonder that witch cursed that forest knowing what she went through, being pursued without reason I can understand her anger toward the human kind.' She was thinking about the sad reality of all the good witches that reminded her of her own reality, the fact that she flee from her place and that she may be hunted by the elves. Life didn't seem to be easy for some people but for Eleanor there was no way she could close her eyes on the dreadful fate that Francis wanted to bring upon the poor girl that was been locked.

Meanwhile in the prison cell, the young witch looked at the small window which was the only light source in the cell. Though the window had iron bars it could at least let her see the bright sun and air could get through it.

'What an idiot I am....I should have keep on using that spell that lets you go unnoticed, I wouldn't have gotten caught if it weren't for my carelessness. Ian will laugh at me if he knew this happened, but the situation sure got more dreadful..I am taking this lightly for now but it is possible that this emperor who hate us will behead me.' She clasped her hands, looked down at her maid dress and worried after getting a clear idea of what was gonna happen to her. She gritted her teeth and wispered to herself,

"What should I do now?! I don't see how Ian could get inside the palace....no, actually there's no way for him to get in. I am screwed and I couldn't even get near her....but from what I hear from the maids, it seem like she is a guest here and she is well treated too....maybe I should have listened to Ian and not take this much risk." She looked at the ground helpless but even in this dreadful situation she didn't shed her tears.

The young witch's situation began a few hours earlier. Somewhere around town a man was waiting in a corner between two shop, he had a black coat and his head was covered with a hood, he was leaning against a wall and from others perspective they couldn't figure the man's identity. Peoples were busting around, some were busy working for a living and others were leisurely strolling around shopping and having fun. The man suddenly looked toward the main road, he spotted a woman with her curly brown hair tossing in the air while she ran toward his place. After turning at the corner where the man was waiting, she breath in and out hastly because of the fact that she hurried to meet the man. He shook his head and sighed before talking to her,

"Do you really need to take this must risk?"

She was regaining her breath as her hand was lying on her chest, after he said those words she glared at him and said with an exasperated tone,

"I already wrote to you all the detail on my letter,....you wouldn't have been here if you really believed that this wasn't important. And in fact, it is important, you know that!"

"Sigh, but Lise you fairly know that getting inside the imperial palace isn't child's play...if you are spotted you can get killed, are you even aware of that?!"

"I know..." She said, her eyes wavering with worry at the possibility of been killed but she looked at her companion's face and continued,

"But still I must go and see her, she is a witch I saw it at the attack that happened recently in town and she may be a witch with great potential....I saw how she used a difficult spell it was my first time...." He interrupted her and said with an exasperated tone,

"You could have seen wrong Lise and let me get this right, I didn't come to help but to dissuade you from going....Give it up please it is dangerous."

"No way, I can't give up Ian.."

"WHY?!" He shooted at her from anger at her stubbornness. She didn't react to his anger and just continued,

"Because it is possible that she is the one from my dream...the woman of prophecy."

His gray eyes went wide, he ran his right hand through his brown smooth hair and sighed before saying,

"Are you kidding me right now?!"

She looked at him with her firm gray eyes and said,

" I am serious Ian, I know what I saw."

"You are telling me that you want to get yourself in danger for a bullshit of a prophecy that you often saw on dreams and that an old and probably crazy witch told you about?!"

"Yes, and our grand mother isn't crazy stop saying that."

"Sigh, I think that you spent too much time with her, that's why I always told you to never believe what she told you, you are gonna get yourself killed because of her, then of course she is crazy in my eyes."

"Brother! please I need to see that girl, I need to be sure of her identity."

"You know my view about this plan of your and I wouldn't change it, don't do it! that is it! I need to finish a work so see you at my place. Here is the key." He said that and put back his hood over his head before heading out of the corner they were hidding.

"Wait! Ian...I must go.."

He sped through the main road before she could retort and disappeared between the crowds. The two of them looked the same, slightly taned skin with brown hair and gray eyes, they were twin and in the rules they established, the one that was born a minute later had to listen to the older one. In other word Ian was her older brother and he had the last say in every big decision they were about to take. Though, this times Lise decided to do it otherwise and didn't listen to her brother's refusal. She entered the imperial palace and ended up getting locked up in jail, like any other younger siblings that get caught doing mischief.
