How they spent that week

They tagged along with Berthy as he made his way to check the exam results.

Berthy: "Why are you guys following me..." He said annoyed.

Keiro: "We need to give you moral support to face your results." Poor Berthy, it was not his fault that he always felt sleepy. Even if Berthy came last in exams, he was still their 'mom'.They would not abandon him.

Keiro and the others looked at the notice board that had displayed the second year exam results. Rank 1 - MATT MONCEE.

Shimlee: "Gotta give it to him. He managed to secure first in between organizing the charity party." Shimlee saw that Keiro was staring at the results with her mouth half-open.

Shimlee: "Are you that surprised that Moncee came first?"

Keiro: "That's not it. Look who came second..."

Shimlee looked at the name below Moncee's name. Rank 2 - HERON BERTHY!

Shimlee: "I told you senior Berthy was preparing for the exams at night."

Keiro turned around and looked at Berthy.

Keiro: "You too..Brutus!"

As Keiro looked on, Berthy yawned, turned around, and walked back to the ghost club. She should have known, that Berthy did not have a sleep disorder...

After much begging, Berthy finally gave in and decided to tutor Keiro and Roju. He had never done anything like that before. His policy was to stay out of people's problems and mind his own business. Berthy tried to reason with himself as to why he was helping the juniors. It will be troublesome if the club's average marks went down. He had to do this to protect his sleeping space. Yes, that was it. It's not like he cared for the troublesome brats.

And in the mornings, Keiro stayed in the library and buried herself in books. One such morning Keiro felt a strong presence near her. This kind of aura could only come from one person. She looked up from her book and saw Moncee's face illuminated in the early morning sun. He definitely looked like a heavenly being from that ankle. The heavenly being now pushed a sandwich towards her. Keiro blinked. What on earth was happening...

Moncee: "What? Aren't we friends now?" He asked her coolly.

Keiro nodded her head. Moncee walked away and Keiro looked from him to the sandwich he had brought. It was not poisoned or anything was it? She bit into it and thought it tasted normal. This was suspicious. What was he planning?

But Keiro did not have time to brood over this. She had to focus on her studies. Thankfully, no new ghosts had shown up that week, as if they knew it was exam season. And finally, their summer exams ended.

And on the day of the charity party, Keiro, Shimlee, and Rusa arrived just in time after their last exam to take a peek at senior Pell Hugo's performance.

Keiro watched as Pell Hugo ascended the stage. At that moment Moncee had turned around and looked at her. She gave the President a thumbs up and Moncee smiled. The spotlight showed Pell Hugo at the piano and Keiro held her breath as the performance began.
