Rong Xue and Shen Han were Ye Shuxin's classmates at Central Performing Arts Academy. Since they were studying in a prestigious school, the competition was high, especially when Ye Shuxin was considered as one of the top students. But despite being one of the top students, because of her poor background, many were adamant of her.

Every month, the Academy would always hold a competition, giving everyone a chance to climb up and replace the seven top students. So far, ever since Ye Shuxin replaced the previous student who was considered as top two, she was able to keep her position from others for months.

Shen Han snickered when she saw Yanyan, "Are you working as a babysitter now?"

Yanyan frowned, "Mo-"

"So what if I am?" Ye Shuxin smiled at them, interrupting Yanyan before she could say 'Mommy'. She then turned to Haofan and smiled, "Uncle, meet my 'friends' Rong Xue and Shen Han."

Uncle? Uh… Didn't she say that he was supposed to be her cousin?

Well, it doesn't matter. Haofan looked more like an uncle instead of her cousin after all.

Rong Xue chuckled, "For once, I thought that he's your boyfriend."

"I don't date old men." Ye Shuxin scoffed.

"Ah, right, right." Rong Xue smiled. "You don't date them but you do sleep with them, right? Just like that one time with Professor Liu?"

Shen Han ended up laughing lightly at what she said, "Xue'er you shouldn't say that."

"But it's true. Our little Xiao Xin is a well known 'Teacher's pet'-"

"Hahaha!" Ye Shuxin's laugh interrupted them. "Are you that jealous of me?"

The two girls ended up frowning.

"Who's jealous of you?"

In school, Ye Shuxin was able to get close to her professors, not because of sleeping with them. It was actually because they were her favorite. Her personality towards her professors and how she aced their subjects was the reason why she became their favorites and because of that, she was known as a 'Teacher's pet' in the Academy.

There was one time where she rescued a teacher from drowning and her photo of kissing him spread in the Academy. The rumors of her sleeping around with that professor spread like wildfire and because of that, they were brought to the Principal's office one time.

It was a good thing that there was a surveillance camera nearby that recorded what really happened so she wasn't expelled from the school. Soon enough, that rumor was cleared up but there were still some students, like Rong Xue and Shen Han, who kept on spreading the rumors that she was sleeping around with teachers.

Because of the lack of evidence, the school couldn't do anything about Ye Shuxin.

Ye Shuxin eyed Haofan as if telling him to take Yanyan out to which he obeyed.

"Mo-Jiejie…" Yanyan held her mother's hand. She may not understand the things that they were talking about but the atmosphere that they were giving was enough to make the little girl know that something was wrong.

"Go on, Yanyan, I'll follow."

The little girl shook her head, she looked at the two women that were sitting on the table near them. "Don't bully my Jiejie!" She looked at Ye Shuxin and puffed out her cheeks in an adorable manner. "They are a classic example of the inverse ratio between the size of the mouth and the size of the brain. Mom- Jiejie should not talk with them. It will only be a waste of brain cells."

Ye Shuxin: "…"

Rong Xue: "…"

Shen Han: "…"

Haofan: "…"

Everyone who heard what the kid said was left speechless. It was so unexpected.

"Let's go Jiejie. Yanyan can tell that their hearts are full of unwashed socks. It stinks so much Yanyan can smell it until here. Yanyan wants to leave." She pouted and while they were taken aback by her words, she used that chance to drag her mother outside of the place.

Haofan snapped out of his trance and quickly followed the two out.

Upon entering the car, Ye Shuxin ended up laughing out loud. "Hahaha! What's with that?"

Yanyan blinked a few times, confused at why her mother was laughing.

"You cheeky little girl, where did you learn those?" Ye Shuxin asked, an amused smile plastered on her lips.

"Yanyan is smart." She grinned at her mother.

"Of course you are." She chuckled. She hugged Yanyan and gave her cheek a kiss.

"Aren't they suppose to be mommy's friends?" Yanyan asked, pouting. "Why are they being mean to mommy?"

"You can just tell that they are mommy's fake friends."

"Fake friends?" She blinked a few times. "I guess mommy don't have enemies but is intensely disliked by her friends."

"..." No wonder there were sayings that a child's insults were always intense.

Ye Shuxin didn't expect that she would end up being saved by Yanyan.

"Did you inherit this side from your father?"

The child shook her head, she grinned proudly at her, "Of course it's from mommy!"
