"It hasn't been decided yet?" Chen Rui faked a gasp. She turned to Tang Yurou and raised a brow, "And yet you're already announcing to everyone that he's your fiance?"
Tang Yurou's face became red in embarrassment. "T-that's..."
Since Chen Rui was back, her father thought that it was better if she was the one engaged with Jin Mingze instead since they were already in a relationship.
Tang Xue knew him well so she was afraid that Chen Luizhi would suddenly replace her daughter.
"I will think about it." Although he said that, he actually made up his mind anymore.
"Dad... please don't break our relationship... We really do love each other." Chen Rui acted so pitifully.
Tang Yurou clenched her fists right when she heard her words. She was at a disadvantage right now, especially when her engagement with Jin Mingze wasn't official yet.

"Chen Rui!" Tang Xue raised her voice which made the people close to them turn their head on them.
"You're still as uncivilized as before, stepmother. I guess a street rat will always be a street rat even after obtaining a gold."
"You've gone too far this time, Xiao Rui." Her father said, giving her a scolding gaze.
"I've gone far this time?" She scoffed. "At least it's not that much compared to what you did to MY mother."
When she saw the guilty look on her father's face, she turned and left them there.
"Xiao Rui!" He called her but she didn't listen. He was about to follow her but was stopped by his wife.

Since Chen Rui wanted to breathe in some fresh air, she decided to head to the balcony and upon reaching there, she saw Jin Mingze.
Knowing that he was the kind of person who wasn't interested in girls, a sudden thought entered her mind.
"Oops, sorry. I'll go somewhere else." She turned and was about to leave when she heard his deep, mellow voice saying, "It's fine."
She smirked inwardly before she slowly turned back to him, "You sure?"
"Mm."
Since she was given permission to stay there with him, she went and leaned against the terrace. She made sure that she was standing from him with a distance.
It was quiet between them for a few seconds until Chen Rui decided to start the conversation with him.
"Happy Birthday."
"Thanks."
And once again it became silent.
Wow. What a great conversation there, Chen Rui. She scolded herself inside.
What should they talk about?
"I heard from Lisa that you're already the CEO of your family's business."
"Mm."
"I know how to read palms, do you want me to read your future."
"Hn."
Her brows knitted together at his response, "Hn-yes or hn-no? Which?"
A soft chuckled suddenly came from the guy when he heard her say that.
"What if it's a no?" He asked, finally turning his amused gaze at her.
"Then let me convince you."
"Oh?"
This man... he really is a man of few words, isn't he?
"Come on now, let me see your future through your palm! I'm a very accurate reader you know."
"Is that your way of convincing?"
She pouted, "I'm not going to ask you to pay. I'll read your palms for free."
Once again, a soft chuckle was heard from him. She was different from the women who were trying to get close to him and take advantage by touching him.
What he hated the most was when other people were touching him without his permission so when he noticed that she was actually putting some social distancing between them, he appreciated it.
Unlike the scheming gazes that he was used to seeing on other women, Chen Rui's eyes were filled with innocence and the blackness of her eyes were sparkling as if there was a mini galaxy in it. It looked so captivating and he loved it.
