A month later
"Ma'am wake up ma'am,' a girl whispered in her ears. The princess was sleeping in a warm fluffy bed. Her face got shined by the sunlight from the window.
"Good morning Laura. Why are you here?" The princess asked the black-haired short girl. It was one of her mech pilots.
"What do you mean ma'am? I'm here all the time?" She asked.
"You want to know? I have a weird dream last night. I have a dream about a demon automaton attacked our estate while I was taking a bath in the bathhouse. Well, It was a bad dream, my men got killed and I was beheaded by that demon automaton. That was a nightmare, I'm glad you're here," The princess uttered to her who was standing in front of the princess wardrobe.
"We were dead ma'am," Laura said to her.
"Haha, you're joking right Laura?" The princess said with a worried laugh.
"No ma'am, I'm deadly serious here. We were dead," She uttered.
"C'mon Laura, that's a bad joke," The princess said to her. Cold sweat started to flow from the princess's head.
"No ma'am I'm very serious here," Laura tried to explain her point before the man that sat down next to the bed talked.
"It's ok Laura, You've done your part. I think it's best for me to explain it to the princess," Gerald interrupted her. Laura left the room to let him and the princess converse.
The princess turned her head slowly to the same looking man that appeared in her dream. It was the same looking guy in black armor that killed her, her men and destroyed the mech team. He was wearing a helmet and hold the same machete that was used for beheading her. Cold sweat was flowing continuously from his face.
"I'll kill you!" He tried to grab Gerald's neck but ultimately failed. It was because Gerald had put a slave collar at her neck. She hadn't realized it yet. The collar was tied to the bed and she couldn't move because the collar was locked and the key was in Gerald's hand.
"If you calm down, I will release you. If you're not, I won't, easy right? And don't expect me to kill you because I've been through a lot reviving you from the land of the dead," Gerald said to her.
"Doesn't matter, I kill you and everyone you love!" The princess said to him.
"You're powerless. You noticed that collar in your neck aren't you? You can't leave that bed, and forget the thought of unlocking it, I cuffed your hands too," Gerald said.
"How cruel? What if I want to go to the bathroom?" The princess protested at him.
"Just pee and shit there, it's a diaper damn it. I don't want to risk someone that wants to kill me so badly to get out of its bed," Gerald explained his reason although the princess still struggled to get out of that bed.
"What is a diaper?" She looked at her clothes that were changed from the blue suit of armor into a nightgown, she also noticed the weird underwear that she wore, "You change my underwear? How dare you do that to a princess?"
"Laura does it, not me," Gerald said. "You've been sleeping for a month now, that's how long you've been sleeping," He further explained her situation and helped her grabbed a grasp in the situation.
"Who are you? You killed my men and turned me into the undead with necromancy! What do you want from me you demon!" She started to drop a tear on her eyes.
"Woah, c'mon now, I don't want to see a beauty crying," He wiped the tears from her eyes with a handkerchief, "Just like I told you before, it was a misunderstanding. You're the one that decided to attack me on the spot. I was only doing that as a means of protecting my life. If you didn't attack first, maybe the outcome would be far different than it is."
"What do you mean you perverted demon? You barged into a princess bathhouse through a window!" She explained his point.
"It was a misunderstanding, I was ejected from my spaceship. I'm not from here, got it? I'm from a land very very very very very far away from here. Look, your technology level is what I called something made by a monkey," He said.
"Monkey? You mean all of our craftsmanship is made by monkeys?" The princess uttered and became angrier. Looks like Gerald just threw gasoline into a pit of fire.
"No, I mean it as an idiom. Take it with a grain of salt, please. Look, what do you need now, I can provide it. That's the very least I can do right now," Gerald offered his help.
"Could you revive my men?" She asked him to do that.
"Mmm, no. I couldn't revive mincemeat," He said.
"How dare you call my men mincemeat!" She became angrier.
"Look, I don't think that we will meet an agreement with this discussion," he stood up from the chair where he was sitting. "If you think about it, it was all your fault. If you didn't tell your men to come after me, they wouldn't be dead. Everyone would be happy if it wasn't for your decision," Gerald shouted the door as the princess stared blankly into the door.
In the hallway, he saw Laura was sitting on a bench while sipping on a tea. She wore a black long skirt and a white shirt. She was a short beautiful girl with black hair.
Laura Rosenhain, she was one of the mech pilots that survive the engagement with Gerald. She was the one that was taken as a hostage a month ago. She was also revived by Gerald. She took less time to wake up, only about six days because her damage was only poison, so it was easy. He explained everything to her like a father explaining the secret about his daughter's childhood to his own daughter. Laura got the point faster than the princess which was surprising for him considering her age which was 16.
"Mr. Wankstein? Has the princess calm down?" Laura asked.
"Not yet sweetheart. I think she just needs more time, that's all," Gerald pat Laura's head.
"How long?" She asked.
"Long enough I think," Gerald said.
Later then, he heard the sound of the chain broke off. The sound was coming from the princess's room. Gerald had a bad feeling about that. He ran to the door and he heard the sound of a struggle.
"Hey! What are... Oh my goodness. Hey!" He came running to the princess that tried to kill herself. She tried to choke herself using the collar that Gerald attached to her neck. He also saw that the chains that tied her down to the bed had been broken. He also saw that she struggled to kill herself.
"Stop that!" Gerald shouted a second before she jumped out of the window with the collar on her neck.
Just in time, he pulled her out of the window before she ran out of breath and went to the afterlife for the second time. She punched, kicked, and did anything that she could to prevent Gerald from stopping her from suiciding. He injected paralysis drugs into her neck. The resistance from her significantly reduced as the drugs took effect.
"Ok, if you can hear me. Blink twice!" Gerald shouted.
She didn't blink, but he knew that the drugs were very effective in blocking her muscle reaction. So he just talked to her like a crazy person talking to himself.
"Hey, what's the matter? Don't kill yourself after I spend the last 4 weeks trying to revive you from the land of the dead. Look, the real reason why I revive you is that I need you. I really need you, don't die ok. I know that you have a survivor's guilt, but you have to move forward, have fun, do some fun things. Here, have a nice trip, a bit of reward for you," he injected very strong hallucinogen drugs. She immediately closes her eyes.
Suddenly, Laura barged into the room again. He asked him, "Is she alright sir?"
"No problem sweetheart, she's alright. She might need some time to adjust to his new realities," Gerald said to Laura.
One thing was special about Laura, she was an orphan. Gerald was an orphan too, one thing that connects between both of them was both of them didn't know about their parents. Laura tried to be a daughter figure for Gerald while he tried to be a father figure for her. Still, the interaction between both of them was clearly made up.
"Mr.Wankstein, what kind of dish we should cook today?" Laura asked Gerald.
"What do you think that our princess will like sweety?" He asked back.
"Hmm, I think grilled lamb was her favorite food," Laura replied.
"Let's go make it then shall we?" Gerald said as he left the princess room. The princess was enjoying her acid trip.
