Three days after the incident.
A battlecruiser that was floating in camouflage in the sky. The ship was occupied by three humans, Laura, Rosa, and Gerald. Gerald and Rosa were in Rosa's bedroom where she was under intensive care in the last 72 hours.
"So... Let me address the damage for you and make it clear. A ruptured lung that has to be replaced, a damaged cerebellum that has to be replaced, a damaged left atrium and ventricle that has to be replaced, a broken spinal cord which has to be replaced as well. Do you know what does it mean?" Gerald asked Rosa who had just woken up.
"I don't know. I still feel very dizzy," Rosa said to him.
"Well. I want to explain to you the short version anyway. I replaced your brain, your lungs, your heart, and your backbone with an artificial one, " he said to Rosa.
"Am I going to change into something?" Rosa asked him.
"Well, nothing changes on the outside as far as I know, " he gave her a table to look at her face. There wasn't anything different externally because the miracle in post-modern medicine was something very unreal.
She looked at her own face on the tablet, there wasn't anything different on her face except for the small pointy triangular horn that appeared on her head. She also noticed that there wasn't anything weird on his torso. Her clothes were a blue loose hospital pajama. He asked Gerald, "I guest you dispose of my dress."
"You know better, " Gerald said as he held a bowl of porridge on her hands.
She sighed and let out a cute smile at him. It was so sweet, he almost got diabetes from it. She then opened her mouth. Gerald put a spoonful of porridge at her mouth. She ate it and bit the spoon with her mouth. "C'mon let it go, " Gerald said as he took off the spoon from her mouth.
Her face let out a sense of enjoyment, she enjoyed that porridge a lot. Holy hell, she was cute, he thought as he gave her another spoonful of porridge. She made another cute face on her face.
'Never crossed my mind once that this person will give me diabetes, ' he thought as she looked at the princess at her bed.
"What are those clothes that you wear? It looks different."
She referred to the black shirt and black pants that he wore. It was the ordinary wear that he used when he is on the spaceship, a long-sleeved casual shirt, and black pants. "This is just my usual loungewear."
"I see, aaaa," she opened her mouth.
'Oh my gosh, I can't stand it anymore,' he said as he put a spoonful of porridge on her mouth. "Could you finish it up yourself?"
"Nada, aaaa," she opened her mouth again. That princess that was thought to be diligent became very spoiled by Gerald. He put another porridge on Rosa's mouth. She seems to be more cheerful than her usual gloomy self. Maybe more playful?
After she finished her porridge, she asked Gerald to give her a drink, "You can get it by yourself right?"
"Very please," She said with shiny cute eyes that Gerald couldn't refuse.
"Fine," he said as he got out of the room and got greeted by Laura in the hallway. She was wearing a white t-shirt and a black jacket and coupled with black pants. She waited for him with a smug face as usual.
"Woah, what are you doing here?" He asked her.
"Just waiting for you. In case you have any questions?" Laura said to him.
"Why does the princess seem to be very happy? I never see her this cheerful," Gerald said.
"Connects the dot please," Laura replied.
"I have an idea, but I want to hear yours first," Gerald said.
"You first," Laura said. "I will correct it if you are wrong father."
"Fine, let me see. You say that the princess was grown up differently from the other children. So at least her childhood was different from the other children. Her real mother isn't her real mother in her mind, but I think she might know that. The king has many wives, she could be a bastard child.
She was the leader of Royal Guards, but her Royal Status was taken away as soon as the Royal Guards got disbanded. She got marked as a traitor and we know what happened back at the palace. She was a demon, but I think it must be a half blend. Hmm, what a great recipe for a defector," Gerald said as she pulled several conclusions.
"Let's not forget the rumor, that fake news that got us into this mess. I track it down and find who is the perpetrator," Laura said.
"Who's it?" Gerald asked.
"A loose end, your loose end," Laura gave him a picture, it was a picture of a boy.
"Named Adrian, a mech pilot, you disable the mech's legs servos and he got out unscathed. You should have killed him, he now becomes a teacher in the Yornstein academy, he used to be our commander," Laura explained.
"Why are you defecting?" Gerald asked.
"I always follow Rosa, is that hard to be believed, sir?" She asked.
"Yes," he said.
"Here's the water, give it to her. She likes lemon water," Laura said as she gave him a glass of lemon.
She walked away from him and Gerald entered that room again. Rosa was laying on the ground and looked at the white ceiling of the room.
"Here's the water. Do you need a straw?" He offered her.
"No thanks, can you hold it?" She asked her as Gerald helped her to drink. The screen that acts as a window started to shine brightly. It was felt as if it was a glass, but it was a screen.
It was the morning sunrise. The clock on top of the screen was showing 5.35 AM. "Want to take a shower? Should I help you take off your clothes too?"
"Sure, I don't see why."
