Back at the Battlecruiser.
Honestly, there was a thing that was common in the googolplex civilization, anyone that had their 18th birthday would have a personal A.I with the opposite gender. A male would get a female A.I and vice versa. Morgan A.I was a gift for Rosa because she was part of it now.
"So... Munch munch. Every adult used to have an A.I?" She asked as she ate instant noodles on a table in the dining room.
"Yes," Morgan replied.
Rosa was trying to grasp the way of living in a very very futuristic era ahead of her. She was wearing grey loungewear with a gold analog wristwatch on her hands.
The Battlecruiser was cruising very slowly at the altitude of 40.000 feet. Their destination was the kingdom where Laura sent her letter to. But Rosa knew better, it was a kingdom ruined by civil war. She was the one who sent Laura to spy on them although it was located very very very far away from Ailenborough, 4000 km, three months of journey with a horse.
"Ma'am, how was your childhood?" Morgan asked her on that personal question.
"Do we really have to talk about that Morgan?" She asked.
"Yes, I think. Strengthening our bond is good and sharing should make everything better," Morgan said.
"Ok, where should I start? I was born in the capital on... 23rd December 1789. I lived there until I was 7 years old. I enrolled in Knights academy when I was eight," Rosa said as she ate the noodle soup.
"Lemon tea ma'am?" A robot offered her a glass of tea.
"Sure, sluurp. Ok, you want to know who my guardian is. It was Brigadier General Harrington, my father figure. Actually, I was taken care of by his family. He lived in the palace. It was his decision that I was enrolled in the knights' academy. It was an official school actually, most of us would at least get the rank of Lieutenant once we exited from there when we are eighteen," Rosa said as she patted her new horn.
"Sir Wankstein said that you were a mixed race. When did you get it? Are you demonized or are you born a demon?" Morgan said.
"Jeez, who you are? My interviewer? Ok, I noticed it when I was 15. It just suddenly appear out of nowhere and it grew rapidly," Rosa said.
"Are your parents demons?" Morgan asked.
"Both the king and my mother are human. The official document said so. Trust me, I've seen nasty things on the Clandestine section of the Ailenborough," Rosa said.
"How do you hide that horn?" Morgan asked.
"Illusion magic. It is simple, but when you're exhausted, it just disappears. But there are several circumstances where my horns suddenly appear; When I'm panic and When I'm being angry. The latter was less noticeable since I can use my illusion magic immediately once I notice that. It's a passive spell, I don't know who put it, but it certainly went broken in the palace that night," Rosa explained.
"How's your father figure? Is he ok?" Morgan asked.
"No, he was killed," Rosa said as she requested a Whisky at the robot.
"Here you go Ma'am," a robot gave her a shot glass and a bottle.
"Thanks. And before you think of it, Gerald has nothing to do with it," she took a shot, "It was him, the king."
"Bless his soul," Morgan said.
"Yes, I know. He made me killed the entire family because I was convinced that they were traitors. But after I open every Clandestine Op file, it just the king's agenda," she said.
"I feel sorry for you ma'am," Morgan said.
"I don't know. We have done many bad things in the past, I don't know whether the god will forgive me or not. Almost every night, I dream about Harrington visiting me. He just keeps asking why and why?" Rosa said.
"Could you answer it, ma'am?" Morgan asked.
"Nah, It was kind of Deja Vu. The dream is always the same, the young me slashing through his neck and his severed neck always looked at me who was viewing it from a third-person perspective and asked me "Why?" " Rosa said.
"Do you hate the Ailenborough?" Morgan asked.
"I will do anything to kill the king and find the person who started all of this, my father, my real father," Rosa said her ambition as Gerald and Laura were entering the kitchen with their loungewear. They saw Rosa was crying with a shot of whiskey on her hand.
Laura realized the situation and turned back into her room and Gerald approached her and teased her, "I have replaced your heart, but not your kidneys. Please don't drink, talk to me," He sat at a chair beside her. "Please..."
She looked at her and all of a sudden, she suddenly hugged him and sobbed on his chest. "Oy oy, I did not expect this," Gerald said as they walked to the common room as Rosa sobbed in his chest.
They walked to the living room and sat down on the large white sofa. She moved the place where she sobbed in his thigh.
Gerald started to pat her head, "Shhh, it's ok. I'm here, you can tell me everything. Drugs are not the solution to everything."
"... Really?...." She said.
"Yes," he replied.
She then told what was happening and some of the stories that she told Morgan. Still, it was understandable why would she cried. It must be hard for her to talk about her deadbeat father figure.
"So that's why. I get it, do you want to attack Ailenborough? I can do that now," Gerald said to Rosa who was hugging him.
"I don't know, about that. For now, this is enough," she said as she hugged him tighter.
He looked down, he saw the woman that he once thought as an 800-pound-female-gorilla could be this cute. He realized that whatever she tried to do, she was still a woman. She still cries she is still beautiful, nothing could ever change that.
He just trying to spoil her, patting her head, rubbing her shoulders. "I guess...," Gerald said.
"Guess what?" Rosa asked as he rubbed her shoulder.
"Nothing, could we stay like this for a second," Gerald said as he put his head on the couch.
"Yes, I agree with that," Rosa said as he put her head on Gerald's shoulder.
