Farming Humans

"Well then, time to put you guys out of you misery." I put my dagger away, in an attempt to stop him from screaming, because it's starting to get on my nerves.

"No! Wait, wait, wait!" It seems like me became even more terrified, probably thinking that I was going to strangle him or something like that.

"Hey, hey, you should be proud of yourself, you know?"

"Wh-what are you talking about?" For a second, he lets his guard down and became more confused than scared.

"You are going to be my first." I say in a friendly tone.

"Huh?" Even more confusion, what a great person to make fun of.

"I just mean that you are going to be my first human kill." As I said that, his face became distorted in terror, and I subconsciously smiled, revealing my teeth.

He attempted to crawl away from me, but I stepped on his palm, and after a *crunch*, he started begging for mercy.

"Ahahahaha, haha, haah, haaa~" His useless begging for forgiveness made me think of something. Those people that he and his group attacked have been asking him to do the same, yet he showed no mercy. And now that he's the one in an unfavorable condition, he wants others to show mercy?

Even the thought of that is laughable.

"Get away from me, you demon!!!" He squealed like a pig. And so the kind me, having heard the despair in his voice, decided to slice his throat in a single clean cut.

I took his sword, and in a clean *whoosh*, his head fell to the ground.

{experience gained + 100}

{experience gain multiplier due to level difference: X8}

{total experience gained +800}

Sorry, what?

Having killed 23 kobolts, each one giving me 25 experience, I gained a total of 575, yet a single guy gave me 800?!

"Lime, could you explain something to me?" It seems like she was taught quite a lot of things, so she probably became enslaved later on in the years. Of course, for me this is very useful, since that makes her my free information merchant.

"Yes." What's the point of having someone around you if they don't talk? Oh well, it's just her personality I suppose.

But that said, I do need to get at least someone talkative to accompany me until I level up once or twice, because I feel like I'm getting more and more insane very quickly. This is literally the second day here, and I already became enough of a creep to space people with my smile. If things go on like this, what will I become in a month's time?

Well, that's a matter for another time, as of now, I have more important things to discuss.

"How does the experience multiplier system work? It said"experience gain multiplier due to level difference"." I hope Lime will know more about this.

"If your opponent is higher level than you, the difference in levels will be given as an experience multiplier. Therefore the only logical explanation as to why the kobolts gave you the same experience every time is their level. It must have been 1." This is the longest sentence Lime has ever said since becoming my slave. Huh.

Hmm. But I can only think of two reasons why the kobolt's level was so low. It was either that, because of the rumored danger that they oppose, they never had a chance to catch any people. Or the other option, which, I sincerely hope it's not.

The second option is that the experience gets evenly shared between everyone who did damage to their opponent, and honestly, this seems like the more likely option .

My plan was to get some people, make them damage some mobs, and then take the last hit for myself, but if the experience gets shared, then this strategy becomes less effective.

But one thing is almost certain, it doesn't matter how much damage everybody deals, the experience will get shared equally nonetheless. I'm sure about that because otherwise some kobolts would have had a higher level than the rest for sure, because it's almost impossible to have everyone do the same amount of damage.

Though my speculation is not clarified, I'm positive about it. The last thing to do would be to double check.

And we have a test subject right before us. It's the second thief that got knocked out from a kick, or rather, a jump on the head.

I got Lime to cut his arm, and then, using the same sword I used to kill the other guy, I once again do a clean cut through the neck.

The head landed on the ground with a heavy thump.

{experience gained + 100}

{experience gain multiplier due to level difference: X5}

{experience shared between team: 50%}

{total experience gained + 250}

And my hypothesis was right.

Hehe, I now know what I'm going to do next.

I'm gonna start farming humans.
