A reward for my effort.

To be completely honest with you, I've gotten really bored of gathering those crystals. It's been, what, two months now? The heroes are probably getting supplied with great geard and are spending their time leveling up.

If I want to be able to one-shot an entire continent, the first thing I have to do is surpass the heroes in terms of both strengths and battle experience. That means a lot of fighting.

~~~
I've finished gathering meat from the wyvern, although the amount I took may be a little overkill.
Well, with 29 points in strength it doesn't take much effort to carry a huge bag around.
I was just about to leave, but the girl finally got her mind together and walked up to me.
"What do you want? I'm in a bit of a hurry, you know?" I'm so close to having all four crystals, so I just want to go kill another wyvern, sleep, and then use the scroll to teleport to the blacksmith.
"Umm, yes. Sorry." She responded in a sad tone.
I get it, there's something she wants to ask me to do, but I really don't want to wait any longer than I already have.
This is actually the perfect chance to test something out.
"Since there is a chance we that we'll see each other again, could you tell me your name?" I don't actually plant to meet her again, but I need her name for the test I'm about to do.
"Yes, you're right. My name is Pretzi." Haha, okay. The names in this world never cease to make me laugh. I don't know if it has a meaning or not, but the sounding of the name is pretty bad.
Well, it doesn't rally matter what her name is. I just need a way to identify her.
"Scroll, you know the deal. Teleport me to Pretzi." A light shone and I was at the chosen destination, three meter away.
"Wah?" She let out a surprised noice.
"This is so overpowered! I can basically track any person I want down with this thing." I keep finding new ways to use the scroll, and now it only has two downsides as far as I can tell.
One - it takes a long time to charge up enough energy to teleport long distances. Two - I have to give the scroll a voice command every time, so in the middle of a fight it doesn't seem to be as useful.
"Welp, I don't have anymore time to spare, so see you later." We'll probably never meet again.
I've though about it for a while, and in the end decided to hunt down a baby wyvern, whose parent I recently killed. He won't give me any experience, but I couldn't care less at this point. My aim is to get the fourth crystal, and leveling up is just an added bonus, which I won't get this time.
~~~

It's evening, the same day, and the hunt was very easy and uneventful. I just came up to the baby and slit it's throat.

"I almost feel bad for it." Almost is the key word here.

Another thing I realized is that the wyvern I killed, the adult one, must have had a really high level, since my experience got multiplied by X38.

My head is full of unnecessary thought. I want the scroll to charge up as fast as possible, but since I have no control over that, the fastest way to "skip time" is by sleeping.

"Goodnight." I'm speaking to myself, as always.

"Goodnight." I heard a response.

I'm so tired, so it's finally time to sleep.

Wait.

What?!

I'm not hallucinating am I?

Yeah, it's probably because I'm so tired. Right, why would there be anyone in a place like this. I shook my head a little, and then finally went to sleep.

~~~
It's the next morning, and I've had my breakfast - some wyvern meat, cooked inside a geyser. I still had some salt and pepper left, so that was a nice addition. The only downside is the lack of bread, or maybe some potatoes would have been good as well.
Anyways, enough about that.
"Scroll, we're heading to the dwarf. Go!" A blinding light engulfed me, and the next thing I know, I'm standing outside the dwarf's house.
I knocked the door a few times.
"Tax collectors are back at it again, huh? A little smack in the head with my hammer is sure to teach you some manners!" He responded in a displeased voice.
It's my second visit, yet the response I'm greeted with is the same. Is he really just that afraid of playing for his land? Oh well, I guess I'll never know.
"Open up you buffoon! I brought the four crystals you asked me to bring." I shouted through the door.
"Oh, so it's you? I'm surprised you didn't die, unless you stole them? No, your level has risen significantly, so it looks like you had fought some hard battles. I'm impressed, kid." His attitude is the same as last time. He still calls me a kid, though I can't bame him, since pretty much everyone I've met so far has thought I was a kid.
"Anyways, what's the other material you needed to make the [manipulators]?" I got pretty excited about finally getting what I've worked for, so I just wanted to get them done right now.
"You should have some with you, unless you hunted down wyverns and not dragons. Twenty five dragon scales are required for each manipulator." Perfect. I have two hundred, so giving him one hundred doesn't even seem so bad.
Now then, I just have to wait for 20 hours, and the manipulators will finally be made. With this, I sould be one step closer to counquering the world.. Even though that's not something I want to do.
