Two classic mobs in one.

After the whole alarm-flickering-red-lights thing, which I think the elevator will do every time I move to the next floor, the door opened and I was once again greeted with a new sight.

"Oh, come on. Why the bright light all the time?" It's like someone is trying to slowly chip away at my eyesight.

This room was a treasure room, and I could tell right away what the premise of the room is. It's always the same little concept. You open a chest, get the item, and then fight the chest which turns out to be "mimic."

What's different though is this time there are three chests, but I assume I can only chose one of them. Let's see.

Each chest had a little display with an item and a brief description of the item just below, so I guess I don't have to rely on luck this time.

The left chest contained a skill called [potion master], with the description "allows you to generate any potion of your choice. Has cooldown."

How overpowered is this skill? It depends on how long the cooldown is. Since it says that it can generate any potion, it wouldn't be a stretch to expect the skill to make damage immunity potions, but if I wanted another one I might just have to wait for hours, or it might be weeks.

Alright, this one seems pretty good, but let's see what the middle one has.

"The balance system is absolute crap.. haha. I can't believe there is actually a passive skill with this effect." I got excited about this one quite a lot.

[Abnormal Status Resistance]. And it's a passive ability. What more could you ask for? This has the potential to be one of, if the the strongest abilities, and you might not be able to tell at first, but let me give you an example.

Remember the acid pool room I was in 15 minutes ago? Well acid actually applies a status effect called "intoxicated", and the damage varies depending on the level of the effect.

Here's one more example. The wall of fire which the Cerberus cast on me? Well the fire actually applies a status effect "burning".

"This.. basically makes me immune to magical damage." And that's only half of the effect.

There would be no more danger of being poisoned, and debuffs will also have no effect on me with this skill.

"If these two skills are that good, then the last chest should also have something overpowered in it, I hope." I leaned over the chest and looked at the contents within.

10x[Evolution Card]

Okay, that sounds pretty interesting. Let's see what the description has to say about this.

Okay, so it says "Allows you to evolve your skill. Consumable.". That's a pretty straighforward descrition, but how much of an effect does the evolution has to have on the chosen skill for it to be worth taking over something like [Abnormal Status Resistance], and there are only ten of them in total.

"Well, not that it matters to me. I'll just take all three." I said and grinned.

What, did you think that I would pass up on an opportunity like that? All I need to do is open all fours chests at the same time, and that's easy with my manipulators. One is still being used to help me move, but the other three are free so I can make them click on the icon of the chest at the same time.

Now, one disadvantage to this is pretty apparent - I have to fight three mimics at the same time, but that only means more experience and an opporutiny to finally test out my newly gained powers.

Before I do that though, I want to try something out.

I looked at a part of the room and thought of calling my scroll to teleport, by habbit, but instead of that I just instantly appeared there.

"Huh?!" I exclaimed, surprised.

This, once again, is just too good to be true. If my 100 movement speed isn't enough, I can easily just complement that freaking teleportation.

"Would it not look sick if I teleported behind my enemies' back? I bet they would be so shocked." My smile grew wider when I imagined everyone's reaction.

Alrighy, enough preparation, it's time to beat the mimics.

As soon as I said that, all three dagger clicked the button on each chest at the same time, causing all of then to open. The rewards appeared in my inventory, but I will have to use them later, as now is definitely not the time to mess about.

~~~
All three chests started deforming, and once the tops opened, huge teeth could be seen along with long tounges.
The chests bounced at me, sort of like slimes but a lot faster and more destructive power. I couldn't run away from them, for obvious reasons, but I ducked and all three of them went over my head, after which I turned around and kicked the one closest to me, sending him flying into the wall.
"Ahaha, you guys are just advanced slimes with no more brain than them. Whoop. And, again. Hahaha, you guys are so fun." I was laughing at their attempts to attack me, avioding each attack without even a need to use the teleport scroll.
The mimics' movements were very predictable, thatnks to which I was able to also land punches and kicks on them why they mindlessly flew by. I was honestly having so much fun, and with my high damage plus the constant attacks by the namipulators, these guys were slowing down and small chuncks of their bodies kept flying to the ground with every few seconds.
"I haven't even used any mana! S+ rank sure does show the effect." I praised my ability, [chilling touch], which now consumed no mana because it was S+, and the effect was dramatically better.
The series of attacks kept taking chunks of the mimics' bodies off, and they got so slow that even some low level dude could dodge their attacks. This one's an easy win.
