Getting over it with Blood Demon.

"I know it's, perhaps, a little late to say this, but, even if we do manage to dig through the floor, we'll end up on the sixth's floor." I realized that about halfway through digging this hole, but I didn't feel like ruining Blood's motivation.

"Oh.." Blood looked at me with a blank expression, probably hiding how mad he was.

"Sooooo, what do you say we do? I mean, we've dug this deep down already, and we might just find something worth the time and effort between the floors." I tried to cheer Blood, who was dumbfounded, up.

"Sure.. why not. And if we don't find anything in the end, it's still a great experience, right?" The air was heavy.

"Yep, that's true! We had a lot of fun, at least." I put up a fake smile.

We sat there, with dark expressions, both doing our best not to let the anger out. While I was digging, even though the thought crossed my mind, I was too focussed on trying not to get cooked alive, but now that we had a breather, both of us realized the utter stupidity of what we were doing.

"Look, I know this is a really, and I mean it; A really bad situation we're in, but I say we just keep on digging until something happens." The goat head suggested.

"Haaa, fair enough. Let's have a break, sleep, or something, and we'll continue with a clear mind." I was still determined to dig down as deep as we possibly could, and we needed to come up with an effective plan to do that.

"Okay, you're right. I'm just gonna cry in the corner, don't mind me." Can goats even cry?

"This floor has no corners.. And you're a goat-head. Get your things together, and while you do that, I'll come up with a plan. Don't lose hope yet, we still have our trump card - [potion master]." On that note, Blood dozed off once again, because he didn't have as much mana or stamina as me.

That's not to say I'm not tired, it's just that Blood's tired a little more.

I've been stocking up on all kinds of potions so that when I have some free time, I could do a whole bunch of testing. That's why my level of [potion master] has gone up, and it's also the reason why I fought all of the bosses without the help of potions.

Of course, I could have just used some potion which would increase my damage, to obliterate the bosses, and I even created one just in case, but since we were able to beat the bosses without the help of potions, I decided to save them for when I need them more.

After all, I'm only able to make one potion day, so I had to be conservative.

"Now then, let's see if any of my potions will help us with digging the hole." I looked through every potion in my inventory.

{status resistance potion} - I made that one in case [abnormal status resistance] wasn't strong enough, but it turned out to be unnecessary.

{strength potion} - I've already mentioned this one, though I still don't know how much of an effect it will have.

{Recovery potion} - This one's to fill my mana, health, and energy up. I've already used one before, and it seems like it restores everything to 100% over the 5-minute duration.

"Oh, and here comes the big boy." I looked at the next potion.

{instant recovery potion} - this one, as the name implies, instantly restores you, but, what makes it so overpowered is the duration.

The duration on all potions is ALWAYS 5 minutes, in other words, this potion heals me, restores my mana, and energy 100% the second you consume the potion, and it keeps doing so until the duration is over.

Infinite everything for 5 minutes. Now that's what I call "too good". This ability, [potion master], clearly has too many flaws.

It doesn't cost me anything to make those potions, and the effect it can supply is only limited by the cooldown, duration, and my imagination. Sadly, I'm unable to make a potion which will affect the factors I just mentioned, but it's already more than good enough.

Okay, what else do I have.. oh, this one could be quite good too.

{Kill potion} - It just kills whoever drinks it. I made this while thinking of a good way to deal with other monsters like Blood if I ever happen to fight them again. His mouth was always open, so it would take no effort to just pour the liquid into his mouth.

"It doesn't help us dig though. I have one more potion, let's see what it is." I pulled out the last one and had a look.

{Level up potion} - Now I remember. This was another potion that didn't have any effect.

"Perhaps there are some basic limitations to this ability, but I don't yet know what they are. Either way, this is definitely one of them." And there's one more question.

Does leveling up the ability have any effect at all? I haven't noticed any change so far.

It's been a few hours, and Blood is finally awake.

"You don't look so depressed anymore, now that you've had some sleep." I pointed out.

"So do you. Did you come up with a solution?"

"I sure as hell did. I've made this potion while you were asleep." I waved the vile before blood's eyes.

"Great, but what does it do?" I got his curiosity.

"It's no fun if I spoil it, right? You'll see once you drink it in the tunnel. Oh, and let me restock up on air again. I didn't take that much air last time, but we'll need a lot more for this new method." I started sucking up the fresh air into my inventory.

"You expect me to drink that thing you created?" He looked at the vile in my hand with caution.

"Yup." I looked him dead in the eyes.

"You know me quite well, huh? Fine, I'll do it, but if it's some sort of poison, Ima kill you." He still didn't trust my concoction.

"Yeah, yeah. Shall we go, then?" I grabbed blood and we teleported back into the tunnel, ready to feed him the potion.
